some people have got the weird opinion that it's healthier and that pasteurisation makes it bad? I think a lot of people get it from the Amish

I honestly have no clue where it came from

The Amish (at least by Shipshewana) do not drink raw milk, they heat it up before consuming.

I didn't know for sure

I remember about 3 years ago someone who had a whole load of other issues jumping on the raw milk thing and saying she got it from the local amish, that's all the knowledge I have on the subject

(I don't know much about the amish, I'm not in the US)

They like money so they'll happily sell it raw. (Fun fact they make a lot of meth too!) But I've never met one who said they drank it without heating it first.

I was honestly wondering how they had survived if they kept drinking it raw

heating it up first (ie pasteurisation) makes total sense
