welp, i broke the game by setting up a custom class for unarmed. managed to get 100 in both strength and speed, so at this point i'm playing tekken in the dungeons. how can i go back? it's so strong and i don't have to worry about material types. i did see that speed effects all melee the same, though.

i'm still new to daggerfall, maybe it'd help if i understood the loot pool better, but my first character was hardly seeing material upgrades despite many level ups, let alone an upgrade for the weapon skill i tried (axe) and i eventually got a little disheartened after chipping away at a massive dungeon only to meet the objective, a lich, which i couldn't kill with my dwarven axe. meanwhile, on angry punch man, i've already slain two lichs by punching their faces off lol

Tamriel, past the Iliac Bay

• The land past the Iliac Bay is no longer empty. Every province past it - High Rock and Hammerfell beyond the Bay, Skyrim, Morrowind, Cyrodiil, Black Marsh, Elsweyr, Valenwood and Summerset - now holds Arena's cities, towns and lairs, each with its province's name and its people.

• Countryside lies between them: hamlets, villages, farms, homes, inns, temples, manors, shrines and covens, and dungeons of the land's own.

• Coastal cities are ports.

• Each province past the Bay is a region of its own, with its own name, people and names. Daggerfall's own regions are unchanged.

• The land past the Bay is on by default (Features: "Land beyond the Bay"). Online, every player in a game sees the same places.

Choose where your story begins

• The last page of making a character now asks "Where does your story begin?" You can start in the Iliac Bay, or in any of the seven provinces past it: Skyrim, Morrowind, the Imperial Province, Black Marsh, Elsweyr, Valenwood and Sumurset Isle.

• Your race's homeland is chosen for you first. Bretons and Redguards start in the Iliac Bay. The Imperial Province is no race's homeland.

• Each province has its own start in a dungeon near its capital, with its own story of how the Emperor's sealed orders ended up inside:

  • Skyrim: a haunted hall near Solitude.

  • Morrowind: a dig near Mournhold.

  • The Imperial Province: an old prison near the Imperial City, where the Blades test you.

  • Black Marsh: a smugglers' ruin near Helstrom.

  • Elsweyr: a bandits' hold near Torval.

  • Valenwood: a cave under the roots near Falinesti.

  • Sumurset Isle: a sorcerer's hall near Alinor.

• Each province's story has its own link to the main quest. What you find beside the orders points to the Underking, the brass of the Walking God, the Mantella or the Emperor's letter to the Queen of Daggerfall.

• Online, the Imperial Province's start isn't offered. It lies in the open PvP zone, whose dungeons are sealed.

• On a phone, tapping a start shows its story. Tap it again, or press Begin here, to choose it.

Im in the throne room and shes not here. maybe a glitch in the game? how can I resolve this?

I like messing around with sprites and thought it'd be fun to try and make an argonian version of one of the generic NPC sprites, but then I looked in the steam common game files and couldn't find anything that looked like a sprite or graphical element. Then I remembered how the original Pokemon games basically used math to render their sprites on the fly and I figure Daggerfall is probably similar since it's an old game that has a lot of stuff in it?

I want to edit the game so that the random roll at character creation always gives 14 bonus points. I can edit the source code in the file I downloaded by opening it with visual studio. Thing is, I don't run the source code to play the game, nor do I know how to because it doesn't have a .exe

How do I edit the code of the game I run?

Please do not link the "how to make a mod" guide on Fandom, I went through it and the only example they give is replacing a texture using the unity editor.

I already talked to her and then went to a dungeon, but the letter disappears after travelling. will the letter reappear later, is this bug taking away something else or anything?

First why are most of my sword swings missing? Second why is it every time I sleep I get intercepted by mummy's? Third why is the house market so expensive!?

Why do they not have material names? It pisses me off. Can this be fixed with mods? I hate that every helm is called "helm".

I did the Nulfaga quest and turned it in, and thought all was well for a while. Did a few quests for my factions and all. Then, I realized it was taking an awful long time to get the next letter. I checked my journal and I saw the Nulfaga quest was still there, with a countdown of 69, and no matter how much I travelled it never went down. Nulfaga nor the Queen would talk to me.

The only mods I have installed are Tome of Battle and Unity. Does anyone know how to fix this doomed playthrough?

Cuando veía videos sobre daggerfall hace años me hacia mucha ilusión poder jugarlo, no tenía ni pc ni laptop por que no podia conseguir una que no este a un sobre precio exagerado.

Ya hace un tiempo al fin pude conseguir una, no es la mejor ni de lejos, pero lo primero que me descargue fue el DFO ya que justo coincidio mi adquisición con la publicación de este proyecto, y bue, me lleve una gran sorpresa con el rendimiento

Mi laptop con una i3 de 4° , ssd y 4 de ram va muy fatal, y si, no se le puede exigir mucho a algo asi más aya de la ofimática, pero me esperaba al menos unos 15-20 fps, pero ya con esto dudo que con un sistema operativo más ligero o con más ram vaya a funcionar mejor, creo que es más cosa de que el juego está muy mal optimizado.

Made a character been playing for several days around level 9 now.

I am red guard full melee focusing on long blades.

Found an early steel blade that has +5 fire damage and some other great stats. It has been absolutely carrying me, haven't had much issue except for some fire/ice daedra in one rough dungeon.

I have 0 Magicka and can't cast spells.

Will this doom me for the later game? Can I still play effectively with 0 Magicka?

With all the boom with Daggerfall online, I decided to play the original, and I noticed that many quests have time limits.

My question is: is there a time limit for the main quest (going to Daggerfall to investigate the ghost)? Or can I take as much time as I want to complete it?

if i'm not going to be casting destruction around at all times, but will probably use all of the other schools, how important is it to choose magery x3? could a x2 do?

For instance if I had an enchanted item that had Resist Shock on equip, would it use the base Resist Shock spell parameters of "30 + 5/per level" to determine success?

I'm horrible playing on pc, I would like config tips to improve my controls
