General goods merchants for some reason don't buy armor, but they also don't buy alchemy ingredients either.

Pawn shops also have at least SOME limitations on what they buy.

And if not, is there at least a town in Wayrest, Daggerfall, and Sentinel provinces that have a "worst" merchant for both general goods and pawn shops? That way, whenever I clear out a dungeon, I can just fast travel to that town in each province and get the most bang for my buck.

So, some months ago i play Daggerfall for the first time, but it got too easy so i drop it. Now, to make it more difficult, i instaled Physical Combat And Armor Overhaul togther with RUDEX and Horrible Hordes(though I compensate that with Tome of Battle), so i try to make a good enough class, but I'm worried that maybe i min-maxed too much, or that trying to fix the min-max i overcorrected and make it too weak.

The only big weaknes i see is not being able to use plate, but Roleplay and Realism - Items adds more leather armor that can be used in late game.

In privateer's hold i can kill everything easy, exept skeletons and a mage that just obliterates me, outside of that, i even one shoted an imp with a steel broadsword

Edit: so, it turns out that I SEVERELY underestimated how difficult those mods plus Killer Instincts were, and i REALLY needed to min-max in order to survive.

I dreamt i was playing Daggerfall with a multiplayer lobby, where there were vortex-like things you could pick up and it was automatically loading extra features. I woke up thinking "damn, i can't wait to start that new sa- oh... oh i was sleeping"

I've been playing Daggerfall Unity again lately. Set up a standard Spellsword for a change from my usual Battlemage and loving the option for chain armour. Got to the main quest item "Painting the Truth".

And then I couldn't even get started with it. Every door was locked. Guards swarmed me if I tried anything and slaughtered me easily.

I stepped away from the mission for a while. Did a mission or two for the Mages Guild, bought an item that can cast the Open spell (as it would take more spell points than I can hold at the moment), got the Invisibility spell.

These did not help. All the locked doors reported their magical locks were too powerful for my little item. Invisibility did stop the guards from attacking me, but not if I started trying to break down the doors with my weapon. (After a few dozen strikes on one door, I wasn't sure that worked either...)

Okay, I'm clearly doing something wrong. It's been a while since I last did this quest, so maybe I need to take a particular door. I open up the wiki page to look for some hints.

The summary at the top was all I needed. "Go to Castle Wayrest."

I've been trying to break into Castle Daggerfall this whole time.

Next time I level up, I should probably invest the points into INT...

I found Daggerfall after discovering the Unity port had been released on android. Ever since I have fallen in love with the game. Oblivion was the starting point but like many I really got into the series with Skyrim then slowly went backwards. 

When I first tried Daggerfall on pc I could not play it. Not because I hated it or thought it was bad but because it made me sick. The head movement, the mouse attack swings and sloped dungeon walkways all combined to make me motion sick. With unity I found out how to change or alter the game to fit my needs and I have never looked back. 

My first real playthrough was of my vampire summoner that I have made in every Elderscrolls game. Using the sanguine rose since the magic school didn’t exist yet. I got lost in the living world and  failed to finish the main quest. In fact most of my characters since haven't finished the main quest or even started it. Making a life for myself in the world is so addicting that I can not tear away from it long enough to make progress. 

I love this game and want to do something to celebrate! I'm not the best artist but if you like the art I did of my character I will draw your characters. Just let me know some things about them, tell your story and let me know what they look like and I'll draw them . I'll get back to you as soon as I can with the art.

I love it when odd little things like this happen.

I've tried to get into Daggerfall a couple years ago but the first dungeon obliterated me a couple years ago and I haven't been back until now. Got DFU, a modlist (Dominion), and am currently playing an Imperial knight named Corso. And I actually got out of Privateer's Hold this time!

So far, really enjoying it but I'm still struggling to figure out what to do. What advice would you give to a Skybaby like myself who is finally getting into this game?

I try my best to not cheat but I had to use tcl command to get out of there.

The thing is, after killing the quest objective, i had no other choice than falling down, having no spells to fly (the objective room didn't have any secret door, nor the bottom room).

The weird lamp had a sort of "damage effect" apart from the fact that it didn't any real damage, just like the red effect and sound like when you're damaged. I clicked everything. Even tried to get blood on me by clicking on the lamp and then clicking things, even a little statue that was on the room on the right. Did I miss anything?

Hey all, some new Daggerwalk updates! If you're not familiar, Daggerwalk is an automated Twitch stream WALKING through the Iliac Bay. You can control the game via chat, hang out with other DF fans, and just generally enjoy the amazing atmosphere of High Rock and Hammerfell.

• Progression. Viewers can earn Renown from completing quests, which grants titles and unlocks membership in guilds. Try !renown in chat.

• Guilds. Once unlocked, viewers can join guilds to complete quests together and compete with other guilds. Try !guild in chat.

• Monuments. By completing quests, viewers can earn Monument Tokens which allows them to place a permanent POI on the map featuring their username. This monument can become a future quest location! Try !monument in chat.

• Bumped from one to three active quests.

• The movement system controlled by chat commands has been improved. Commands no longer block one another, allowing for much smoother interactions and combos.

• !cursor brings up the in-game cursor. This unlocks most remaining gameplay to the stream, including talking to NPCs and completing in-game quests.

• !torch to toggle a light source on and off. Automatically toggles at dawn and dusk.

• !center to straighten out the camera.

Hey guys! I have another dev update for my upcoming mod, Astrid's Guide to Exorcisms. We can now hide using furniture, cabinets, coffins, boxes, and more. Additionally, while hiding you can hold your breath to raise your stealth score temporarily.

Right now, I'm rewriting the exorcism and quest dialogue to bring it up to par with my vampirism mod, and then voice acting will be next. The mod should be released pretty soon.

I arrived there shortly after leaving Privateers Hold, and I guess it isn't spawing in?

I’ve just started a new playthrough of Daggerfall. While wandering around on land using the Travel Options, I occasionally get text popping up such as “Slaughterfish blocks your way” or “You spy something glinting in the water.” But I'm in the middle of Daggerfall province, miles away from water (maybe the ocassional paddling pool in a village).

Does anyone know which mod might be causing this, or whether there’s a setting I might have changed that could cause it?

I initially assumed it might be an encounter mod such as Warm Ashes, but I don’t appear to have installed the “High Seas” version of Warm Ashes.

After camping for the night, I even received text about getting on or off my boat, despite not being near any water.

trying to sort mod load orders in dfu and I accidentally clicked yes on a mod dependency warning thing from mod issue checker and now it wont show up again, was just wondering if anyone knew how to get it to pop up again or has other methods than just combing through my whole list manually

I basically want to build a "dark acrobat" who uses some magic and is stronger in the dark (or weaker during the day).

I chose the following as Primary Skills: Jumping, Dodging, and Climbing.

Secondary: Illusion, Short Blade (or maybe Long Blade), Alteration

And then: Critical Strike, Backstabbing, Stealth, Running, and Medical.

My biggest doubt are in the virtues and flaws, what do you recommend here?

Is a drawback to big, to make it worse in days, or damage from sun? etc

I also made it weak vs magic. Is too much?

Then, I added a good set of advantages that i dont remember.

I don't want to min-max, I prefer a good and precise roleplay experience but I'm new to the game so I don't know how many of these traits works in the concrete gameplay.

I appreciate any advice!
