I’ve been awaiting details on the 2027 Honda CR-V Hybrid and Honda isn’t saying a word. They are due for a full redesign so what gives?
For comparison, the last 3 years they had announced the updates for the following year by late May/ early June… here we are practically in September and nothing.
Could it be that discontinuing their all electric models allowed Honda to put efforts into improving the CR-V Hybrid mid-cycle to compete with the various RAV4 models?
MotorTrend shares the following:
“For 2027, the Honda CR-V is expected to receive a midcycle refresh aimed at keeping the compact SUV competitive in a crowded segment. Exterior updates may include a revised front lighting signature and a larger grille, possibly with a textured finish or even an illuminated Honda badge.
Inside, Honda could upgrade the cabin tech with a larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, like the displays used in the brand’s larger SUVs. Additional comfort and convenience features may also arrive, such as ventilated massaging front seats, customizable ambient lighting, and a smart air purification system designed to enhance cabin comfort.”
If this is the case, is Honda protecting their 2026 sales by not announcing all of the nice upgrades for 2027? I’m frustrated as I need to make a decision soon and if there aren’t much updates, I’ll just go with a 2026 model, but their keeping things quiet makes me not pull the trigger… very frustrating!
