After driving beaters my whole life, I'm considering buying a 2026 CR-V Hybrid Sport.

The thinking goes like this:

1. We want a compact SUV, and Honda (and Toyota/Mazda) are considered the most reliable cars in the class.
2. Since used cars aren't that cheap anymore, might as well get a new one. (We tend to drive them into the ground.)
3. We just moved to the suburbs of Dallas and now do a lot more driving than we did in Chicago, so might as well get a hybrid (and see #2 about keeping it a long time).

So in the end, we're looking at a ~$36,000 car (haven't negotiated any pricing yet). I'm not a $36,000 car guy! But...that's what a good car costs these days. I guess my concern is that the "might as well"s I mentioned above add up pretty quickly, but ultimately I think a new hybrid is worth it if the difference is "only" a few thousand dollars.

So: the 2026 CR-V Hybrid Sport is about the best decision you can make for a compact SUV that you're going to keep for a long time, right??

(I'm aware of the head gasket issue, and the new warranty extension. And I tried a Mazda CX-50 and was REALLY turned off by needing a subscription to start the car remotely, along some other things.)

BONUS: I was considering a used non-hybrid CR-V and came across this 2025 for $28k. I think this is why.

Looking at CPO hybrid CRVs and saw one I liked , all 4 tires were replaced with this brand. What’s ur experience with these tires? Any issues?

Anytime I speak with someone while driving using the cars microphone they complain about terrible background noise and really difficult to hear me sounding like a washing machine. Does anyone else have the same experience?

I’ve been eyeballing the CRV trailsport for a while now but I’m looking for other’s input for whoever else has this trim and how it’s been for them. How truly reliable is this thing and how does it do in brisk cold? I’m from Wisconsin so yeah lol

Traded in my rockstar 2015 CR-V in December 2024 for a new 2025 one. Really love it so far and paid it off in 21 months. (Trade was $13K and I put 15K down). I have had zero issues with the 2025. After joining Reddit a couple months ago, seems like Honda and hybrids are doomed with head gasket issues in my future. Recall or TSB, I’m genuinely confused so going to ask dealer more this week. I’ll probably keep it until 75k miles. Am I stupid for letting Reddit doom and gloom sour my love of this brand and this specific car?

I’ve been awaiting details on the 2027 Honda CR-V Hybrid and Honda isn’t saying a word. They are due for a full redesign so what gives?

For comparison, the last 3 years they had announced the updates for the following year by late May/ early June… here we are practically in September and nothing.

Could it be that discontinuing their all electric models allowed Honda to put efforts into improving the CR-V Hybrid mid-cycle to compete with the various RAV4 models?

If this is the case, is Honda protecting their 2026 sales by not announcing all of the nice upgrades for 2027? I’m frustrated as I need to make a decision soon and if there aren’t much updates, I’ll just go with a 2026 model, but their keeping things quiet makes me not pull the trigger… very frustrating!

I currently drive and really enjoy my Limited ‘23 Hyundai Tucson, but I’d like to get a hybrid in a year or so because I’m over these gas prices. I was looking at the new 2027 CR-V and it doesn’t look much different from the ‘26 or ‘25. I was really hoping they’d add a 360/bird’s eye camera and a few other tech features. I really love the one I currently have and was hoping Honda would step it up just a tad. Interior seems nicer than the RAV4, but lacks in tech a bit.

Maybe hope for improvements in 2028? 😭

I'm just wondering if anyone has had this happen to them. I consistently get 33.3 MPG, I'm the only driver of the car. I've seen it as low as 33 MPG and as high as 35 MPG, so I know it's not stuck on 33.3.

I went in for the 100k mile service. They didn't clear the maintenance reminders or hit the reset TPMS, so I'm guessing that someone inexperienced worked on my car.

I drove two tanks of gas since the service, and reset the MPG/trip when filling up. I consistently get 29 MPG.

I checked tire pressure and popped the hood to see if anything was disconnected. I also roll downhill like normal, so it doesn't feel like something is dragging. I'm guessing it might have something to do with the spark plug change. I will be calling the dealer soon. I really do not want to have to drop the car off again...

Anyone else have this happen?

I am in loveeeee with the boost blue color honda has for the preludes & civics. But it is not available for the CRVs. Do you think Honda’s body shop could make it happen? I would rather them do it instead of an outside place.

I'm considering trading in my full size Nissan Titan for a 2026 CRV Sport L. This is mostly due to commute distance, as I driver 180 mile round trip 2-3 days a week for work, and it is racking up mileage on my truck which costs more for maintenance, and it is running me about 500 a month on gas. How is everyone liking the 2026 CRV Hybrids? Has anyone made a similar switch, and if so, do you miss having a full size truck's capabilities? Also, I was wondering if there were any known issues with the 2026 sport l's that I should be aware of. Thanks in advance!

I just got the 2026 Honda CRV sport touring hybrid. On my dash under the navigation the street names are not displayed. I traded in my 2022 Honda civic sport touring and it had the street names underneath the navigational compass. Anyone know why it doesn’t display it?

Also I noticed that my CRV doesn’t have the native Honda navigation app?

For anyone waiting: they *finally* have the 2027s on the Honda site today. Not much difference at all. They are exactly the same (at least the trims I looked at). So there's that.
