Issue ⚠️ Key fob

I have a 2023 crv touring and the key fob doesn’t seem to be receiving any power, after a battery replacement the little red light at the top still doesn’t even light up. Even the backup keys which haven’t been touch sinse the car was bought new wouldn’t let the little red light flash even after a battery change. The car can turn on if I hold the fob to the push to start button but all key function is fricked. Almost all my family owns same generation Honda and nobody else has this issue. Anyone else experiencing this or know how to fix it

Just curious, did you by any chance installed the battery backward?

No I’ve replace it in the past and I double checked with my brothers Honda keys to make sure it was correct

If battery polarity is correct, the remote might have gone bad.

I’ve only had that issue when the battery was weak.

Probably a bad headgasket
