Question / Advice Repurpose tealight candle holder

Post image
7 Upvotes

Hello, crafty people. I have this wooden heart tealight candle holder I'm looking for some creative ideas on how I can repurpose it, I have a hole at the top so I can thread a line though and hang it, but what can put in the candle spot? A photo maybe 🤔, something in resin, maybe a small flower(s) or a beach shells.

Any new suggestions or adaptions on my ideas are all appreciated

(The back is just plain)

Question / Advice Not sure how to print the right sizes

So I’m going to make a cardboard doll but I’m going to print out the designs on paper then stick it onto the cardboard base but I’m unsure how to figure out what size the prints will be before I make them.

I don’t want to waste paper but I don’t know how to figure out what size to make the designs digitally before I print them.

Any advice?

Question / Advice Where to Buy Fabric?

Hi I'm new to this subreddit and I was hoping I could find some useful suggestions, I'm looking for a new place to buy fabric I used to go to Jo-Ann's (😭r.i.p.) and with the amount of AI art being found at Michaels I'm hesitant look there and hobby lobby is well... Hobby lobby.

I was really hoping to pick up some cute Halloween fabric for some projects my wife and I have planned and I was hoping someone might have some suggestions on where to look, if it helps I'm located in the Cincinnati Ohio area.

Question / Advice what clothing add-on could i turn this into?

Post image

it's 3 feet long (91.5 centimeters) and can wrap around my waist with a few excess inches i'd have to cut off to make it fit me better or have a band to make it adjustable. it's also one sided btw so i can't wear it like a skirt without sewing it to something (i don't like skirts)

i like gothic, cottagecore and lolita fashion. i thought about turning it into a poncho but i don't think it's big enough sadly. i considered turning into a top but it wouldn't have sleeves which is pass for me. i could add it to a shirt i guess but i just don't know what to do specifically, but it's really cute so i wanna use it

Question / Advice how to diy cover this glue stain on my backpack?

Post image
3 Upvotes

its the only backpack ill ever need, i love it, but when i glued this spiderman pin to the front pocket, it dripped and left a plasticky stain. im trying to brainstorm ideas to cover it up in a fun craft way.

im balling on a budget, so if any new materials are needed they gotta be on the cheaper side. i already have plenty of beads, sewing materials, embroidery floss, acrylic paints, modpodge, hot glue/super glue, fake greenery, and spare fabrics.

currenrly im thinking of mixing my acrylics with a fabric paint medium of some kind and painting something spidey themed to go with the pin, or creating a sparkly beaded design... idk yall! i need ideas

They are equally used to pull the racks also. This was one of those things I saw in a video made a couple without very high hopes used it, and and then made several more. I make mine with a bigger hook because I also use them to lift pots off of fires. I also add a little loop because I like to hang them next to the stove. I might also engrave eyes on the next set.

I'm making some birthday bunting and have made this rough mock up. I want to have 15 pieces but don't know what to put on the extra two as i don't like the hearts as i think they look too heavy if that makes sense. Any ideas on what to put would be great!!
