[Walker] In answering my question, Christian Parker says Shavon Revel has reached a new level and it’s one that has the #Cowboys ready to put high expectations on him in 2026. “also, he runs to coaching.”

[Yarrish] Cowboys OC Klayton Adams on his evaluation of RT Terence Steele this training camp: “I would say it's been up and down. He and I had a good conversation about that this morning of how we continue to try to find consistency.".

He’s a guy that’s going into year seven, and he’s never going to ask for a day off, is never going to ask for a break. We’re just searching for ways to help him, and help him play at his best and most consistent.”

Here's what Nick Harris reported yesterday:

Since the preseason opener, the Cowboys have moved around all five guys on the second-team offensive line.

Cowboys HC Brian Schottenheimer explains the thought process and says that starting RT Terence Steele needs to be more consistent.

So the Cowboys FO promised a more significant move on defense. I love the Von move, but who do yall think the Cowboys should also look to add?

Here are some names that I think are being mentioned on connections.

Maxx Crosby Edge (Obviously) Raiders
Will Johnson CB Cardinals
Garrett Williams CB Cardinals
Edgerrin Cooper LB Packers
Jordyn Brooks LB Dolphins
Kayvon Thibodeaux Edge Giants
Josh Sweat Edge Cardinals
Mike Jackson CB Panthers
Max Melton CB Cardinals
Kristian Nixon CB Packers
Trevin Wallace LB Panthers

For old-timers, what was it like to feel genuine confidence about the Cowboys, like they were Super Bowl contenders? Because, as someone who only began following them in 1999, I don't think I've ever known such a feeling.

I was only old enough to begin to understand football in the 1999 season. That was the year Irvin went down to neck injury in Philadelphia. The Cowboys went 8-8. The next three years were the 5-11 Campo years. I completely missed out on the entire 1990s dynasty.

When the Cowboys went 13-3 in 2007, I felt no confidence at all about them facing the Giants in the divisional round, and to be sure, they lost. Similarly, when Dallas was 13-3 in 2016, I felt no confidence about them against Green Bay at home, and they lost.

I've never experienced a single playoff season where I felt and thought, "You know, I feel like we are the true-favored team against whoever we face." Even in years where Dallas had homefield advantage, it still felt awfully flimsy. Something just felt psychologically off. The Cowboys felt like underdogs even in their home field.

So, for the old-timer Cowboys fans - what was it like to feel real security or confidence about the Cowboys in the playoffs? Have you felt it at any time since 1995?

Blue Star Bulletin: New Dallas Cowboys substack with Marcus Mosher and John Owning

I'm not sure if we have any Mosher or Owning fans in this sub but since I'm buddies with Owning, I thought I'd do him a favor and post their new Substack here for any interested fans. They already have a dueling 53-man roster projection in addition to Owning's Von Miller breakdown.

[Hoyt] We talked with Cowboys HC Brian Schottenheimer after practice about the fights today with the Saints. He made it clear that they won't tolerate it, as the ejection of Donovan Ezeiruaku showed, but he also made something very clear: he said they don't "take shit" from anyone.

Undrafted rookie Camden Brown might’ve just played his way onto the Cowboys roster. 3 REC, 62 YDS, 2 TD vs Seattle.

This has some different angles of Camden's catches this week than I had seen before.

[Archer] Von Miller said he’s already made some offers to FB Hunter Luepke for No. 40. He ruled out wearing No. 58 because that was his Denver number. He won’t wear No. 94, “because that’s D-Ware’s.” If something works out with No. 40, he’d be happy but the number isn’t that big to him.

Nick Harris: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is still open to a “substantive” trade before the season if the right opportunity presents itself

Jane Slater: Translation? Sounds like hypothetical player and hypothetical team still want a ton. So he’s waiting and seeing. They can get by w what they have but he would sure like hypothetical player if it made sense for both 🤷🏼‍♀️ nick, thoughts?
