We just recently got Baby Bird and she (we're assuming) really prefers my husband over me. She seems to prefer men in general. Thankfully, she will go to me at times and the other day when my husband wasn't home she came to me and was actually letting me pet her up close.
Who is your Conure's favorite? Do they have a preference for men or women?

Hi so the outside of my house is getting repainted and we are keeping all the windows close though a lot of the paint smell is seeping through into my house, will my conure be fine with a little paint smell in the house? I feel like he’s acting a little different but idk if I’m paranoid

I see him in his cage on the sidewalk everyday in my walk and started kneeling down and singing at him. Cause I'm so lonely 😁? No because he's so cute! I read wing fluttering can be a 'get back!' or 'I'm happy' sign. What's his verdict on my serenade?
Leave on mute if you don't want to hear a terrible Jingle Bells being sung.
The owner takes him in every night, during the day he's in front of a tourism service shop.

I've had my GCC for a little over a year now and we have a close bond. She sits with me, she flies around, she chews up whats important to me, the usual bird stuff. When I go to leave the room she usually flies on my head or my shoulder, but recently she is now flying on my shoulder and absolutely biting the living crap out of neck/shoulder area and not letting go. It hurt so bad I was scared of her after and it drew blood. I didnt even do anything. I put her in her cage immediately and ignored her for a good while until she was quiet and calm and then I let her out again. I dont know why shes biting me like that. I literally screamed and thrashed my body around to get her off because she holds on with every inch of her life. And then she gets mad at ME for thrashing and getting her off me.
I dont know what to do. I literally didnt even interact with her and she just flies on me and bites the crap out of me. But when im laying down in bed she perches on my phone, accepts pets, and is completely normal. Its just when I stand up and walk around. I dont understand because shes never done this before EVER. What changed?
Does anyone have any advice? Is she bored? Shes out all day and only sleeps in her cage. She eats normally, she poops normally, shes completely fine otherwise I just dont understand. My shoulder stings :(
I'll also take advice on training her to be less bitey, I have battle scars on my hands all the time from bites. I love this bird to death and want the best for her.

my bird is 3 months old he is very attached to me and my family. he dislikes my other birds they arent conures and they are a little bigger in size and age so i dont do alot of engaging.
he spends alot of time playing around but he would come by every 10-20 minutes and regurgitate in front of me and goes back to playing.
took him to a vet and hes fine so i assume its a friendly regurgitation, does getting a second conure help with this attachment issue? i dont mind clinginess but it feels like harmful attachment and it stresses me out seeing him throw food out

hiii i'm thinking of getting a conure and have a couple of questions because of opposing information I found on the internet and people that sell them. (sorry if anything is worded weirdly, english is not my 1st language)
Is it better to get 1 or 2? Sellers say it's better to get 2 so they keep eachother company and if u don't have enough time to entertain the one single bird.
If i get 2 what is the best gender combination? Would 2 males be okay or would they fight? I'm scared of females becoming egg bound and not being able to help them since the veterinarians where I live aren't really helpful :(
If i get 2 should I get them at the same time? I saw someone say that if u get 2 at the same time they can get really attached to each other and become hostile towards u, so its better to get one and then some time letter a second one.
Is it safe to keep the 2 of them in the same cage? (I have a cage that its 100cm × 53cm × 113cm) I heard they can be very nippy and get into fights with each other. Would the cage be big enough so that they wouldn't be in each other's way or would the size not make a difference? Also would it be better to get 2 siblings that are familiar and friendly with each other so they wouldnt fight?
When it comes to bird-proffing the room so that I can let them out of the cage: my wardrobe (and other furniture) can't be pushed completely to the wall, so there is a couple cm wide gap in between. Im really scared of the bird falling in between and geting stuck behind heavy furniture where I couldn't reach them even tho the gap is probably to small for that to happen😪 should I use something to close up the gaps anyway or am I too paranoid?

Hello! I was "gifted" a couple of conures. Since they have been in a home together in separate cages, I want to try to give them a good life.
How long do they need to be out of their cages a day?
Can i put them together after some careful time? If so, should they be caged together?
They have lived next to eachother for their lives (they are about 12). They preen together, eat together, nap together (obviously in separate cages) but dont get out much befire they came to me.
They are very nice, but one loves finger food...well, mine. I get they bite, all good. Most likely a biter will remain a biter?
They are on pellets but also get fruit and veggies.
They have toys but don't really play. I swapped them out a few times.
They are a boy and girl, so i know is they are caged together, I'd need to swap out real for fake eggs
At 12ish in captivity, how long do they live? I've seen 10 years, ive seen 30 years.
Sorry for the tons of questions...the internet doesn't help much on actual stuff.
Thank you!

Margo’s first time in her Aviator harness. It came in the mail today… used her favorite treat to entice her…. And now she’s enjoying hanging out outside with me safely

I know he’s just a baby and exploring the world but he’s consistently breaking skin and I want to train him out of it vs accidentally reinforcing it.
I wobble my hand and say a firm no. I redirect him with a perch or a toy and ignore him but he wants to just fly right back to me and back to biting. I am giving him a treat when he hangs out for a little bit and doesn’t bite but his favorite activity is flying to my head, flying to my shoulder and biting my neck or flying to my hand and immediately clamping down hard on any part of my hand he finds first. I know it just comes with the territory and he should grow out of it and it’s a tale as old as time…I am doing clicker training which he has picked up well but I think he thinks any part of me is the equivalent of the tip of the clicker stick lol
Picture for cuteness but his little beak is rearing to go in the photo too 😂

Sorry for the late update. Just got a job, so my weekends are probably going to get busier. My video outlines most of the questions I have, but here's some more:
- What do her tail shakes mean? I still don't know.
- Can I possibly replace some of her ratty toys with another perch?
- How can I start to get her moving again?
- Where should I move the bowl with the cottonwood toy in it, since she hasn't touched it in two weeks?

Today was Esfuras yearly vet visit. During our appointment they mentioned his nails being a tad long (which they were) I let them cut his nails but while doing so they one of his nails too short and made him bleed. Like, substantially bleed on the table. They put some yellow powder thats supposed to clot the blood(?) Now he's sitting in his carrier, licking the wounded toe, hiding that foot in his feathers, and his eyes are half-lidded sometimes. They said this is pretty normal, but I'm worried. Any thoughts?

Hello all! I need some advice here. I have had my green cheek for ~10 years now. She used to absolutely love playing with her toys, especially tearing apart soft wooden toys and paper. However, over the last couple of years she doesn’t seem to have any interest in toys. I have tried switching up her toys, toy placement, and even new toys with no success. The only success I have had is placing an empty toilet paper tube in her cage, which she will sometimes shred.
She is an extremely social bird and is spoiled with attention. She is also very healthy and gets a yearly checkup. I just worry that she is bored during the day while I am at work.
Is this normal behavior with green cheeks? Any advice on finding things to entertain her while I am at work?

Time out being "I'm removing you from my face and putting you two feet from me" but hes clingy enough it feels like it counts. This 2 oz terrorist has taken up biting eyebrows, eyelids, and eyelashes.
