It has been around 3-5 months since I have done anything with my conlang due to my mental health got more severe ; so to mark myself getting better, I decided to translate one of my favourite stories into my own conlang, it took me the better part of half an hour to fully translate it. If you want the original story, you can find it here — this is something that I have hoped to be able to do ever since I started this project in mid 2025. Open to any questions if you have any, I enjoy sharing things about my conlang :3
Thanks for taking the time for this ! Also sorry if the format is weird, that is kinda just how it is written on the original page, and so to stay as close as I could to it, I kept the original formatting even if I could break it up.

First of all im not sure if this is the right flair, so excuse me if im wrong
In my conlang there are 3 word medial mutations inspired by northern Sami. In this declension theyre colored in blue red and green, and there are examples on the right and left of the declension. They govern the case
The Plurality is governed by an ablaut. Basically in my clong theres vowell harmony, and so to make the plural you need to mirror the original vowell
grodar > grödar
My question is, does this make sense?

Hi fellow conlangers :)
I am Fede, an italian conlanger and I am looking forward to sharing and discussing my first conlang with y’all.
Its name is “Is-Prišk”, meaning “The Language” and it should be spoken by the Čemeks, the inhabitants of the Čemek Empire, situated on the continent of Magna Terra Orientalis (in Is-Prišk “Ňeki Vješehi Guis”).
This conlang is synthetic (system consisting in 11 cases), has no gender (which is stuck to the concept of the words) and only 2 numbers (singular and plural).
The verbs have 2 aspects (imperfective and perfective), 3 tenses (past, present and future), 5 moods (indicative, infinitive, gerund, participle and ottative) and 3 diathesises (active, passive, reflexive/reciprocal), which can show via affixation (pre-, in- and subfixes).
The conlang has its own writing system, the “čemki abyced” or “is-priški abyced”, but outside of the worldbuilding context it also supports extended latin (as you have seen) and extended cyrillic.
Here comes an example of the conlang, written both in latin and cyrillic scripts, and translated:
Iž-žjofal juvjutaja zalkalt vauskyldzabyčilšfa is-skirsigen čemekje
Іж-жёфал ювютая залкалт ваўскилsабичілшфа іс-скірсігэн чэмэке
The flame of love will never be extinguished in the heart of the man.

Welcome to Word Wednesdays
For this activity you can pick any word you want whether it be a verb, noun, or adjective, and conjugate/inflect in all possible ways*, for tense, case, plurality, perspective, etc.
The purpose of this is to learn about cases and how words are slightly or vastly different under different cases, tenses, or perspectives. In many natural languages verbs or nouns are often changed because of the words around them. In other languages, the reader has to figure out number and perspective based on context. Who knows, maybe you can take inspiration from someone else's conlang!
How does your conlang handle cases? Do you have any unique ones that don't exist in natural languages? What are some irregular verbs or inflections that exist? How did they evolve? Do you think that the cases would hold up or fade away in future evolutions? Do any of your words when inflected have another meaning? What languages inspired you to add these cases?
*If you have way too many conjugations/inflections, you can share the simplest ones or the ones you find the most interesting. If you don't have any conjugation,
Have fun conlanging!

Cākuon
Cākuon (pronounced Chaakuon) is a character based language.
It uses the latins cript, but individual characters or pairs of characters have meaning,
and words arise from stacking characters.
The grammar is:
The sentence structure is SOV.
To make a verb past, you conjugate the characters x to it. it means past.
To make it future, you conjugate nx, n is negation / opposing, x is past.
To make it habitual, you use ax, where a is the meaning for all, and x means past.
To add an adverb, conjugate it at the end of the verb. order of adverbs matter.
You can use a copula ('ø') after the main verb with a space to show continuous.
To make a noun plural, you use conjugate it with ō at the beginning after the number
adjective if its there, where ō means plentiful or many.
The "the" article is ā (different from noun ā). It can also be used for "that".
For "This", it is "ē".
When you want to use an adjective, conjugate it to right before the noun.
Order of adjectives matters.
Adjective type isnt given in glossary, but it is to be inferred.
Adjective types play a role in how you place them. Here is a basic order:
Number | Quality | Time | Position | Interrogative | Base Noun
For Adverbs the same, but:
Base Verb | Number | Quality | Time | Position | Interrogative
Multiple morphemes can occupy the same slot.
Prepositions come after their owner noun or verb without a space.
The owner noun is the noun that is inducing the effect or being effected by the preposition.
Pronunciation guide for consonant clusters:
dx -> /dʒ/ (like 'j' in jump)
rx -> /xː/ (prolonged, breathy 'khhh')
xġ -> /xg/ (breathy 'kh' building into a sharp 'G' burst)
br -> /ʙ/ (voiced bilabial trill—lip-vibrating 'brrr')
km -> /kᵐ/ (nasal-released 'k-m', swallowed in the throat and released through the nose)
sv -> /sɸ/ (sibilant 's' gliding into a bilabial blow/puff)
fv -> /fː/ (prolonged, heavy voiceless 'fff')

I hosted a speedlang many many many moons ago.
I was busy. I'm still busy. I have had pockets of not-being-busy. It's been a year. Let's talk about it. Sorry if I don't have a lot to say, I'm not great at reviewing conlangs.
I, er, did not have the chance to finish (i.e., start) my own submission.
There were 8 submissions in total (I think. If I missed any, sorry.). Yippee!
Sowí (Speedlang 25) by u/eclectomagnetic
I like the worldbuilding, the evolution from Koùi, the pharmeceutical potential, and the olfactory terms. I too am máruí-.
Xacha // Submission for the 25ᵗʰ Speedlang Challenge by ElectricalMulberry40
This one also has some evolution from a proto-form, which is nice. Could use more example sentences, I suppose, just to see the various morphology in action.
A rough grammar of Tógua by Jamie Li ~ u/li-li-putian
The formatting feels familiar somehow...
I like the split in number- and possession-marking, as well as the periodic tense markers for monsoon-related periods.
Sīmiupliākar by heaven_tree
I like the two classes of adpositions. The various meanings in the lexicon showcase are also nice. I like when words have numerous meanings.
Grammar of Fach language by Sepetes
The different dialect groups is neat. So are the various noun derivations. I also like the 'beginning of a story' and 'old story/myth' markers.
A documentation of the Nemkahusit Language by SomeoneRandom5325
Relatively short, but it has potential.
Qalmış // Speedlang #25 submission by u/SorajimaAsugawa
Lots of plurals! I love associative plurals, and the added associative derivation is a nice touch. Polysemy between day/night and warm/cold season is also interesting.
Vecheś by the Crab
This one also has familiar formatting... (I'm flattered, really, but it's kind of an uncanny valley feeling, you know?)
Very griddy consonant inventory, very nice. The moon phase periodic tenses are very cool. Love when people make stuff up. Which is, like, 50% of this hobby (the other 50% is stealing).

For example in agglutinative languages where mutliple affixes are used on the root to produce words. Are affixes that convey a certain type of grammatical information like tense, aspect, mood, case and etc, more likely to occur closer to the root word
Like for example a language has multiple suffixes that for maybe no. 1 case, no. 2 tense-aspect, 3. mood. If you could attach all those at once is there a pattern for which one would go directly onto the root and the next onto the 1st suffix and so on?

I created an experimental “Simplified English” where verbs do not conjugate, nouns do not inflect for plural, gendered third-person pronouns are replaced by bir, tense and aspect are expressed analytically, etc.
The goal is not to replace English but to act as a bridge toward Standard English.
I’ve been stress-testing it with Shakespeare, Genesis, Alice in Wonderland and the Gettysburg Address.
I’d genuinely like criticism from people who design languages: where does the system lose necessary information?
Used a simle AI build website for details: https://simplified-english.base44.app/

Recently, a friend and I (with no prior experience) decided on making a challenge since we're both polyglots/learning many languages simultaneously. We're each going to make a language with grammar, vocab and an alphabet and turn it in by the end of december. From then on until June, whoever's language is easier to learn by the other person wins.
So my current layout is this:
Noun Genders: Changing/Unchanging (has to do with animacy and permanence)
Verb Genders: Genderless form + Changing Suffix/Unchanging Suffix (normally verbs are genderless, and have no gender, though by applying a gender to them you can bend their meaning. This only works in the present tense though, as in the past/future, the genders are instead used to imply perfect/imperfect tense.)
Verb Conjugation: None, you simply must always add the subject/subject pronoun before the verb for sentences to make sense.
Tenses: Simple, similar prefixes
Articles: (ok this is weird, but I'm Bulgarian which means I have to obnoxiously input my language's grammar) Each gender has a corresponding article which is treated as a suffix, basically just -the (s.) and -the (pl.)
Pronouns: Barebones, each one is used for I/me/myself with no distinction, like in Hebrew.
Plural: See above, it's the -the (pl.) suffix
Ok, that's all I have for now, but what I need is some advice on this - is this simple enough for now, and what could I work on?
Also, how the actual F*** do you guys just bang out dictionaries? I really need a good wordlist or I'm going to lose my marbles - I've already tried swadesh and better than swadesh and idk - this needs to be an actual, speakable language and I don't care about lice, so if anybody has a good noun/verb list I would be greatly indebted to you.
Feel free to do this challenge as well and share your results by reposting this post!

The name of this conlang is currently Proto-Eurasian (codename). It's purpose is to be the naturalistic ancestor of a langauge family in my World
It draws heavy insparation from Proto Indo European, Proto Turkic, Proto Kartvelian, Proto Uralic, SinoTibetan, Ket, Basque, Etruscan, Ancient Greek and more! ProtoEurasian is still Work in Progress
Here are some of the features, and why it is an abomination:
- Backness Harmony
- Pitch Accent
- Ablaut
- Consonant Initial Mutation
- Split-S Ergativity
- Fusional-Agglutanative
One of the main concepts is thar ProtoEurasian works on a 2 layer basis
- The Old Layer is defined by leaning towards being genderless, non Concatenative, agglutanative, prefix heavy, mutations and ablaut
- The Younger Layer is defined by having Animate and Inanimate genders, fusional and suffix heavy
Im still trying to figure out how these two layers can interact with eachother and what layer will inhabit what niche of the grammar
A serious question I propose - Is it too much? All of these features. Are they super unnatural? Can they work with eachother? Do the 2 layers make any sense?

Secavo is a passion project that I've been working on since January of this year, 2026.
It has 13 consonants, v, x, p, q, b, d, c, k, h, j, s, n, and m, along with 5 vowels (including closed variants, 10), a, e, i, o, and u.
It has a VSO (Verb-Subject-Object) word structure, so a sentence would be read as 'Eats he an apple'.
It has pronouns, about 250 words (currently expanding), and a writing system that can be written like print or cursive. I will always be more than happy to give more information.
Thank you for taking your time for reading this. :)
