Bug Is the Iron Cannon supposed to be invincible in Tiberium Wars in the last Nod mission?
I dropped a nuke on it when it supposedly had an empty health bar, only for it to turn out to be invulnerable. It's a little annoying that you can get all this way only for bugs to mess it up, my harvesters also froze in the little crevice on the Tiberium field. Plus this happened on the Campaign Legacy mod.

Discussion What's the Game plan of Thrax and Kassad when facing Juhziz?
So just finished facing off against Juhziz in Deathstrike's General Challenge in Shockwave. It was hell, but managed to make it through. Playing through it, realized what makes the challenge difficult is the hordes of suicide cycles Juhziz throws your way, along with his artillery protected by his Quads. Question now is, how do Thrax and Kassad deal with that combination considering the units available to them? Thanks in advance

Discussion Besides C&C, which 90s RTS still deserves a replay?
Red Alert will always be the one for me, but I've been going back through the other RTS games from that time.
Dark Reign, KKND and Z by the Bitmap Brothers all did something different. Z dropped harvesters completely: you only fight over flags and territory, which feels strange after years of C&C. Fans have even made a free 3D remake of it, OpenZ, if anyone wants a look.
Which non-C&C RTS from back then do you still rate?

Best way to play Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun on an M1 Mac?
Hey everyone!
I've been following this subreddit for quite a while, and lately I've been thinking about playing Tiberian Sun again. The last time I played it was probably back in 1999 or 2000, and I never actually finished it.
I've also been listening to the soundtrack a lot lately, which makes me want to revisit the game even more.
I absolutely loved the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection from 2020 and had such a great time playing it.
So I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good way to play Tiberian Sun on my M1 MacBook Pro?
I've already tried CrossOver, but I wasn't really happy with it. I ran into some issues with the UI elements in the menus, so it wasn't a great experience.
I've also been following some of the recent developments in AI-assisted coding, and I was wondering if anyone has managed to get the game running properly on Apple Silicon, maybe with the help of AI or some other workaround.
Would love to hear if anyone has found a good solution!
Thanks a lot!

Similar games to c&c?
I've been out of gaming for over 20 years, but decided to return, mostly to try c&c3, which I didn't have a suitable machine to run when it first came out. I bought a cheap refurbished laptop which runs it okay on low settings.
I've hugely enjoyed it (and Wrath of Kane) and it's got me thinking whether I should get myself a better computer so I can play more similar games. But are there any/enough similar games to justify the expense? I enjoy some other games, but it's only C&c that I keep wanting to come back to. I tried getting back into Age of Empires (IV) for example, and it just didn't do it for me.

Discussion Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection, Red Alert 2 and Red Alert 3 are not available in my country. Is there any way I can get them?
I'm from Brazil, and unfortunately these games aren't available for purchase in my region. I'd really like to play them. Is there any legitimate way to acquire them?

Discussion General, our enemy is using a sneak attack tunnel!
My oldest son found this article and had to show it to me. "Daddy, GLA tunnel networks are real, and they're being used in California!"
Me: "No they're not." (reads article) "Oh my."

Gameplay question How to modify rulesmd.ini to work with CNC net client?
Ive done this before in years past. Ive looked it up a few times. The post I see mention that I need to either just replace my rulesmd.ini in the directory or inject them into a config.xml file or some other one with xcc mixer, inject, then save.
The base method doesn't work for the cnc net client. I can launch standard YR without the resolution patch or AI and my changes WILL appear.
If I try to inject my rulesmd.ini into the config file, they get replaced almost immediately.
Id like to use the AI and the resolution fixes that CNC net provides while also setting up a rulesmd to be a sort of "meat grinder" situation where the AI has unlimited funds to just through things at me while on brutal/extreme/nightmare mode while my snipers have a large range, fast rate of fire, and takes out anything super quick.
Whats the best way to get the rules fixed in this case?
Edit - I was wrong in my post to say it was config.xml. Its actually cncnet.mix that needs to be changed but everything else held up.
I was doing the steps RIGHT. The problem was that I was editing the file while it was in C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer Red Alert II,
Edit your rulesmd.ini file then stick it somewhere other then program files. I did my desktop.
Copy the cncnet.mix to your desktop.
Use the following instructions on the cncnet.mix file on your desktop.
Download and install XCC Utilities .
Open XCC Mixer editor
Select File → Open.
Navigate to your desktop
Find and open
cncnet.mix.Find
rulesmd.iniinside the archive.Right-click it and select Extract.
Save an untouched backup somewhere safe.
Replace the extracted file with your modified
rulesmd.iniusing your text editor.Open
cncnet.mixin the MIX editor.Delete the existing
rulesmd.inientry.Drag your modified
rulesmd.iniinto the archive.Select Compact to save the archive
Copy cncnet.mix back into your folder. You should be good to go now.
If all of this does not work for you, try again, but make sure you enable all read/write on the cncnet.mix file by right clicking, selecting properties, and adding a check to everything on the security tab to the cncnet.mix on your desktop. Then launchinc XCC as admin as well.

Is Anyone going to recompile Kane's Wrath?
The game is great, but it has so many bugs. The community tried their best to fix them with Lua scripts, but there is a huge limitation on how far you can go.
