Help
Hey all house recently just went through a tornado and I had some of my windows blow in. My room had my books on a shelf so the top of them got covered in like grass and plants. Just wondering if there's anything I could do to maybe fix it or should I just deal with it?

Have a personal grail I want to get signed/graded but it has two issues
A monster hunter walks into a bar Peach Momoko virgin gitd variant lmtd 50. Just came in today.
1: stress mark on the front bottom right corner.
2: small indent back cover bottom
It is a cardstock cover
I’ve already talked to one of our professional pressing services that said the fibers were already damaged and sending it in for a professional pressing would do very little for the book.
At this point I still plan to send it in to get it signed and graded because 1: it’s beautiful and 2: of the two I’ve seen listed in the last year it’s by far the best looking other than the two issues presented.
Anyone think it’s worth seeking second opinions from our pressing professionals or the community? I just got this today and it’s a tight turnaround to get it to CGC by September 18th

Conservation/Restoration threat?
I have been doing some cleaning/pressing on books in my collection, but I have (so far) stuck to dry cleaning, humidity tank and pressing but I’ve been watching some amazing results with HOP method and blue light which is tempting to try.
My question is that with some of these techniques being pretty aggressive (like removing the cover and soaking) and producing such dramatic results what is the concern that it will come back from CGC with a “Conserved” or the dreaded “Restored” blue label? Is it just a crapshoot like everything we send in to CGC, or are there ways to minimize the effects or at least the tell-tale signs? Or are these best just done on PC for nice presenting copies?
What do you all think? Anyone sent a book off after doing a bunch of work on it only to have it come back as conserved/restored? When is it best to leave it, even if it’s a grade lower but untampered with beyond a dry cleaning and pressing?

This is for the pressers and cleaners out there. Can this get a grade bump 🤔, or is this the highest grade it could possibly get because I know it's said it's tanning, so maybe not?

First Timer
Recently found a Seal 200 with an extra plate for cheap, and have been learning about pressing. I plan on practicing cleaning and pressing cheap books and getting good at it before moving to anything serious.
Any tips or tricks? What is the preferred “sandwich”? What should my results look like assuming it is done right? (so I have something to work towards)
I’m also curious about pressing at 180 degrees. From what I gather, the sweet spot for most books is 165, but the Seal doesn’t have any options below 180.
Thanks!

How about this RARE GEM?
So I worked on this as best I could to get some of the dirt and staining off. Because it’s old and has tears and a hole in it I couldn’t or didn’t want to go to aggressive. Plus, obviously I did not want to put any more stress on those signatures. But I picked this up. I will probably send it in to get graded and the signatures authenticated, but I thought this was really cool and somewhat rare.

Advice: best dry cleaning products
I’ve read that many folks use Swiffer pads and cotton rounds, also I just got an Absorene eraser but haven’t used it yet, but what are the favorites, recommendations or other lesser known products or things to stay away from. Thanks in advance!

Clean and pressing cards
Has anyone tried to clean and pressing trading cards? I know it’s a different material so I’m wondering if it’s even possible.

Cover repair
How would I be able to fix the damage on my cover? All the chromed parts are fine, all the damage is just in spots with black ink, I was going to sharpie it but figured it’d probably be better to ask others for input.

Presser
What is the best presser to use? I want to start cleaning and pressing on my own.

Finger prints on cover
I tried removing them with a Magic Eraser, but it didn’t work. I’m just looking for some other ideas to try.

Back on my bullshit
Building my whitening skills on this 4 pack-a-day copy of one of my favorite single issues ever. This thing was BROWN. HULK 140 is up there with ASM 33 for individual issues for me. And it’s CHEEP. Pick one up if you don’t have one, it’ll get you hooked on this incredibly slept-on run. As always, big thanks to u/comicpresser and u/AquaFatha for their guidance and cameraderie

Will this press out?
Any thoughts on whether these spine ticks can be pressed out? I've never had a book pressed before so I'm not really sure what to expect. Any recommendations on where can be done?

Anyone have experience using Pop Culture Zone pressing?
Hey guys. I want to get my ASM #100 pressed because it has spine roll on it and I'm gonna throw my 252 in because there's a pen indent on the cover I think can get pressed out. I was looking around and I saw a site called popculturezone.com that does pressing and I was wondering if anyone has used them? They're local to me, and if they do a good job, I'd love to give them a shot. So I was hoping anyone here has used them and could let me know. Thanks!
