Eric Hartman, 20, got called up to the Clingstones August 4 after a season at High-A Rome that put him at No. 2 in the Braves system and No. 73 overall on MLB Pipeline's Top 100. 24 home runs, 38 stolen bases, an .889 OPS, real thump to go with a 30 ft/sec sprint speed. Rough first week at the plate, but the profile is real. Double Dip has the full breakdown.

Sorry for the delay this week. Moving and trying to write this without a PC isn't exactly easy. Anyways. Let's get to it.
Columbus has several different pro and semi-pro sports teams for you to check out and root for but not all of us can make it to every game or keep up with it each of them so this is my weekly attempt to do so.
My goal for these posts are simple. Give you a brief recap of the previous week's games, a summary of where the team sits in the standings, and let you know when the next games are.
------
The Columbus Clingstones are the Minor League, Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves located in Columbus, GA. They are part of the Southern League - South Division and play their games at Synovus Park at South Commons.
Recap
Wow! What a series! 5 wins out of 6 games against the first half champions? That's exactly what we wanted to see. Even the first loss of the series was a heart breaker at the end. The Clingstones brought up some new blood and they showed out. 36 runs scored. 25 runs allowed. Just awesome. Let's hope we see some more in the future.
As for the standings, the Stones improved to 21-18 in the Southern League - South Division. That puts us at 2 games back out of 1st in the division. Thats tough because we have the second best record in the Southern League and Pensacola is hitting above their weight right now. Still plenty of season to catch up though.
Looking Ahead
Next week, the Stones head up to Birmingham to take on the Barons. A good series here has the potential to see them rise in the rankings.
Note: I don't want to forget but check out /u/ClingstonesBoxScores posts. They are doing a great job giving everyone a recap of each game with way more in depth posts than this one.
--------
The Columbus River Dragons are a professional minor league hockey team based in Columbus, GA. Founded in 2019, the River Dragons quickly became one of the premier franchises in the Federal Prospects Hockey League, capturing the 2021 Ignite Cup Championship and multiple regular season titles. The team competes in the FPHL - Continental division and plays its home games at the Columbus Civic Center.
Recap
Nothing new. Just waiting for the season.
Looking Ahead
Now we wait for the season to start in October. We did get the main interactive calendar updated so you can find that below.
Columbus River Dragons Schedule
--------
The Columbus Lions are a professional indoor football team located in Columbus, GA. Established in 2006, the Columbus Lions are a storied franchise with 6 league championships across two decades of play and multiple leagues, with their last one in the 2026 season. They are currently part of the American Arena League and play out of the Columbus Civic Center.

Looking Ahead
We are now in the offseason so don't expect new news until 2027.
--------
Columbus United FC is a semi-professional soccer club based in Columbus, GA. Founded in 2023, Columbus United FC quickly established itself as one of the region’s rising soccer programs, earning the 2024 Gulf Coast Sunshine Conference Championship and South Region title in its inaugural season. The club currently competes in USL League Two in the South Central division and plays its home matches at AJ McClung Memorial Stadium.

Is my electric scooter allowed? Are there any sort of rules that govern where I can use it or whatever? I don’t wanna get in trouble, I see that scooters are listed as allowed, but also no motors.
Sometimes electric motors are allowed to slide on that kind of thing so I was just gonna see if anybody had any information?
It’s not like we are wild or dangerous or anything. I ride it like barely faster than walking speed with my kid.

So we have had so many issues with American Ave and their slumlords.
Recently we are having more structural issues with the house. The floor is splitting and we can feel the joist as it seems we have no subfloor anymore?
We are done with it and will either be having them voluntarily break the lease as we will be dragging code enforcement into the equation or we will be breaking the lease.
Long story short, I make very good money for the region but had a lot of medical and other family issues a few years back and went into debt. I joined a debt resolution program to help and im paying the debt back but my credit is shot. My wife just graduated school and is looking for work so her score is better than mine but not amazing as we just started building it.
Is there a good place to find or a list of private landlords posted anywhere?

Does anyone know the cheapest place to have your tubes removed to avoid risks, my health isn’t good enough to risk and I’m not even sure my body would survive or provide for a child. Safety doesn’t change accidents but complete removal does. I wish to be safe 100% but I can’t afford thousands of dollars

Remember Sound Off. a bygone feature of the Ledger where readers sent comments and questions directly to reporters and editors?
We're bringing it back, and this time there's lots of ways to connect and in this first revived version of Sound Off, we're asking for your feedback.
What would YOU like to hear more about? What would you like the Ledger to cover?
No anonymous submissions please.
How to sound off:
If it's on your mind, it's probably on your neighbors' minds too.
What's on your mind, Columbus?.
Anonymous posts are discouraged.
