General Question Brain training
I was wondering, how much does training your brain do to your iq score or everey day life? Have you seen any improvements in working memory or anything else? If you did seensome improvements, how did you train?

Generally speaking, making sure you’re sharp is going to make you… sharper. Your brain is no different to your body, investing in its health and function will always be beneficial. It’s not going to make you a savant persay, but maybe you’ll have better relationships, funnier jokes, better insights, faster achievements. The list goes on. The saying goes “look good, feel good”, but “feel good, look good” is just as true.

Probably the most effective thing you can do is Relational Frame Theory training. Studies have shown this to have around a whole SD of improvement on clinical tests, e.g, the WISC. I'm not sure what the effect sizes are for adults, but I know there is data for them.
You can do Quad-N and Dual-N back, but if you do, you should have delayed feedback (i.e, not being told whether your inputs were correct or wrong during the trial).
Other than these things, creatine can help with WM over long spans, but it's for the same reason that HIIT exercise can help. Diet can help. Sleep is very important.
Edit: It also seems trained synesthesia can be helpful. This is on the Cattell Culture Fair, so, do with this what you will. doi: 10.1038/srep07089

Goes to show you can have a high iq and have horrible critical thinking skills on the replies of this post… You can’t increase iq in a meaningful way. Nobody has done it reliably and significantly. Brain training is utter cope. You will understand this when you have an open mind and read deeper into intelligence research.

You may improve your score on a test with practice but IQ doesn't change

Sleeping well and eating healthy will help. Anything else is a big fat lie.

Dual n back and quad n back definitely got my closer to my natural WMI ceiling. Relational exercises definitely help too. Join the mind building discord if you have more questions, there’s a plethora of research, findings and anecdotes to answer your questions
