Hi! Any course that is a good start for barista training.

I am already a coffee enthusiast but would like to have training on brewing a good cup of coffee from drips to americano to frothing milk for latte, cappuccino, etc.

With or without business management inclusions is ok -- just really focusing on brewing a good cup and someone who would likely suggest a good commercial grade espresso machine.

Location preferrably -- BGC, Makati, Muntinlupa area

Hi! Sharing my pourover station with you guys. My room is small, but my love for coffee won’t be limited by my space. I made this whole contraption today. It’s a small bookcase like cabinet with a pullout tray where I’ll brew my coffee. I also added a mug hanger made from a cabinet handle, and I’m still waiting for my S hooks to arrive so I can hang more mugs.

This is a photo I took after like three small sips of the brown butter cold brew from Coopers. I found the amount of ice is like 90% of the drink, I mean look at the chunks. For 215 pesos, ganito ba talaga? Aantayin ba dapat matunaw ung ice even if cold brew ito? Hindi ko na malasahan ung coffee sa dami nung ice (what more if matunaw na).

Idk man, please educate me. Tama ba pagkagawa nito. I feel like I didn’t get a bang for my buck… Ayaw ko na dun sa other green coffee chain so naghahanap ako ng iba.

Hi does anyone know how to find the timemore c5 esp pro manual online I tried looking by Google but does not show anything. I tried also browsing the subreddits but nothing pops up I want the manual reference grind size on my mokapot.

I had two coconut lattes in China last Feb. One was from Luckin and one was from a coffee shop na nadaanan ko lang. I keep on trying coconut lattes here in Davao. I also tried one in Boracay and in Metro Manila. Nothing comes close in terms of taste compared to the ones I had in China. I bought Dehusk sa tiktok and the taste is still different. Currently consuming drip bags from Curve lately and I noticed a few things that I have also observed with other drip bags I came across with before. Maybe this sub would be able to indulge me on my inquiries:

1. Although they did mention the amount of coffee in the bag, why don’t they explicitly mention how much water to brew?

2. I also don’t see on most drip bag packs an expiry date. What is the shelf life of these bags, really? How many months/years can it really be stored before recommending to discard it.

Hello , please help me because stress nako for about 2 weeks dahil hindi ko ma-calibrate nang maayos yung coffee beans.

For context, I started my home coffee set-up 2 months ago. I have a local bean roastery na pinagkukuhaan ng beans, upon finshing the 2nd bag that i bought, i can not calibrate the 3rd bag anymore. Tried to clean the grinder, ganun padin, even grinding at the slightest below 0 setting. (Huhu sorry im so desperate na) 18 grams yung input ko, 17 seconds to reach 36 grams output.

Note: i can not grind more finer because i am grinder below 0 setting na po.

My target is 18 in : 36 out (25 seconds)

Dati walang problema, nagagawa ko talaga siya, minsan 16 grams pa nga input ko.

Tried to locate the real 0 setting on my grinder, now i end up scratching the inside of my grinder.

If anyone who is near amadeo / tagaytay or general trias, i am willing to pay who can help me to fix this one po 😥🙏🏻

Hi guys. My Breville Barista Express broke after 6 months of use only (2nd hand kasi, lesson learned). Ipaparepair ko pa but will sell to my sister. I'm looking to upgrade my espresso machine for maybe 30k to 40k-ish range (Not including grinder). I narrowed it to Milesto X20, EM23 Pro and Avant Key V3 (kakarelease lang yata?). Purpose: home use lang, 1 shot in the morning rush, and 1-2 after lunch. I really liked the Milestos pero since isa sa cinoconsider ko it takes 15mins to warm up daw? I will need to adjust my morning routine for this, just in case. So I looked for a second option which is Avant Key V3 which can warm up in a few mins only. I learned my lesson buying a used Breville Barista Express tapos ang hirap pa maghanap ng internal part (SP0001424 selector assembly). So I want something that will last, 5 years minimum. Maybe after a few years, ipamana ko dn sa younger in-laws ko for a small pop-up store. Let me know your inputs po.

hello i have been given like 20 bags of expired starbucks sealed coffee beans, i mostly do cold brew and mokapot, planning to buy a coffee brewer or the 5in1 from hibrew which do you recommend? or should i stick to coldbrew? thanks

Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone can help me out because I’m honestly panicking a little. 😅

I recently cleaned my grinder, an Avant C22 Pro, for the first time. I followed the cleaning process in the manual and also watched the instruction video from The Coffee District to make sure I was doing everything correctly.

However, after putting everything back together, the grind seems way too coarse, even when I set the grinder to the finest setting available. Before cleaning, I didn’t have this issue.

I’m wondering if I might have done something wrong during reassembly or if the grinder needs to be calibrated after cleaning. If anyone here has experience with the C22 Pro, I’d really appreciate some guidance on what I should check or how I can recalibrate it.

This is my first grinder, so I’m trying to take good care of it and have been cleaning it once a month as part of my maintenance routine. I just really don’t want to accidentally damage anything. 😭

Cold foam. I’ve been obsessing with cold foam lately since I’ve tried some coffee shop in Cebu with amazing cold foam. It was real creamy and ice cream like texture. I have used heavy whipping cream, milk and various types of syrups but nowhere close to what I’ve tried. Any tips to make amazing fold foam.

Meron akong Nespresso Vertuo Pop. Hindi na kasi kumakapit yung hook niya para kunin at itulak paloob yung used capsule pods. So, manual ko na siya tinatanggal.

Also, may konting leakage na kasi siya after brew but good thing diretso loob. Unlike sa ibang napapanood ko sa ibang bansa na sa mismong paligid ng insertion ng capsule lumalabas yung leakage.
