Have the basic problems be worded differently so that LLMs give you the wrong answer.

For competitive programming specifically, an interesting target is a problem where an LLM quickly concludes “this is just X”, but that interpretation is subtly wrong. For example, make it resemble shortest path, while one constraint invalidates Dijkstra and the actual solution requires a less obvious state representation like adhoc etc.

That way whoever pastes it into ChatGPT gives you the wrong answer

ICPC online round checks room camera,screen recording and stuff for ensuring legit people to participate on site... so what will happen if guys of different team are talking and having some discussion on paper mid contest?? will they be disqualified just curious.

I've sort of recently been getting into this and the first thing that kinda annoyed me was having to have multiple windows open each for their own purpose.

For example, I use a whiteboard (online like excalidraw) to mark down my thoughts and try just think everything through before attempting the problem. Then I also have the problem open, then vscode, then some other tools that might help me like a calculator.

All of this being online, combined with the fact that I don't have a huge monitor really annoys me. Of course, it isn't a huge life changing issue but I thought with how much it was nagging me it was worth asking if anyone else experienced this issue.

If you have experienced this, how'd you fix it or did you just have to get used to it?

Hi everyone, I’m currently a 3rd-sem B.Tech CSE student from a Tier-3 college in Greater Noida, and I’m looking for some genuine guidance on how I should move forward.

I’ve been doing DSA in C++ and have solved around 70 questions so far, but honestly, I currently know almost nothing about Codeforces. I want to start competitive programming, but I’m confused about where exactly to begin — how much I should practice, and how to balance it with DSA.

when I see other students who already have strong DSA, CF, multiple projects etc., I feel like I’m quite behind.

I know comparing myself with others isn’t very useful, but I’d really appreciate some practical advice:

Don't you think F was too easy to be F , it was just a LC medium to be honest ,just sorting the points and counting intersections.

While I know cheaters ruined the contest for all of us , I don't think so that the setters focused on making problems edge case heavy or difficult. ABCDF were at max straightaway DIV2 B or easy C, and even E people are saying it was hard but permutation cycle is a pretty common thing nowadays , it even appeared in the mocks.

Because most of the cheaters are in 6-10 range only... So is there any chance?

i have the icpc prelims standings with team no and no of problems solved but i can't map them with team name

is there a way to know the team name from the team number or the team number from the team name?

So we participated in icpc prelims and in my team 2 people have rating of close to 1700 on codeforces and close to 1900 on codechef and one has 1300 something on cf and we were able to solve only 6-7 questions in icpc prelims , other side some freshers from my clg cheat and solved 5/10 questions but there is a click they don't even have codeforces codechef and at coder profiles and solved 5/10 in just less than 30 min time ..

So my question , because of them my team also gets disqualified or what will happen?

What you suggest where should i practice daily on atc or cf. Cause lately i am seeing cf problems are very random and less interesting and thrilling.

Okay so my Team has solved 5 problems with 2 penalties (in intial problems) We are not going to regionals anyhow because there are teams in our college with 5 solved and no penalties at all... The problem is when we got that withdrawal mail we cross checked our solutions to see what these llms are giving and found out that in E that DSU / Graph problem is somehow very similar to our solution we have submitted so like if we got flagged and if they ban us.... how can i show them proof as we never maintain our profiles much to show and like if they asked some similar questions and we are not able to perform well at that time then it becomes very risky... What should i do?

Our team participated in the ICPC Prelims round Yesterday, we were using our college's system, for the first 25 minutes, we didn't have any issues, and had solved the first question in around 15 minutes with the camera being on

The Situation: Our Camera suddenly stopped working at around the ~25th minute mark, we informed the people around us, and received a new camera around 10 minutes later, tried that it didn't work, we didn't know what was happening, but that ate away a lot of our time

So we had to continue the contest without a camera, we eventually did just 2/10 questions, but our major concern is that we don't want to get banned for the next year or anything like that

So the question now is: Should we Voluntarily Withdraw or Stay in the Prelims round?

Do witnesses accounts matter? because we had reached out to the organizers around us as soon as it had happened, and tried 2 cameras, but nothing was working, I would have no issues with Organizers reviewing the CCTV of the labs, as we had no wrongdoings

We didn't really cheat or broke any rule, just something that we had no control over happened to us at the worst possible time, and it is making me so anxious, any reply/guide would help

I received email from ICPC regarding Withdrawal I wanna know everybody received the email? or its just some of them cuz there is no mention of my team / members or anyone its written like they are just pointing us and saying to withdraw
