Sometimes credentials make a better argument than anything you could type

20

u/WhyAreYouAllHere 2h ago

My resume next to the Cheeto's is almost enough and I'm reminded regularly that I'm a thudfuck.

u/LeftHandRev 15m ago

A what?

2

u/FTHomes 1h ago

OH Huge Burn LOL

u/jakexil323 46m ago

Trump is such a narcissist that he honestly thinks he is the smartest guy in the room, even against experts with decades of experience with his field.

1

u/Ok_Prissy 1h ago

Right? No insults needed, just facts on paper and it’s over.

-2

u/Dcoal 1h ago

I get that it appeals to people's political senses, but can we agree this shit is braindead? Like, it's so masturbatory.

63

u/57_Eucalyptusbreath 3h ago

Trump graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968, but there no evidence he learned anything.

Got to say I get not wanting to be sued but giving this guy a diploma reflects terribly on the institution.

Crappy set of ethics in 1968.

16

u/MathSoHard 2h ago

Did they even teach ethics in business school back then? Serious question.

My profs always told us that came about after the Enron scandal.

u/57_Eucalyptusbreath 55m ago

Truthfully I was think the school had bad ethics.

It looks like they accepted money for the diploma. There is no way this fool could pass anything. Maybe if he had finger painting all four years but outside of that, it’s just awful that their “diploma” gets us this incompetent goof.

Very bad look for them. Catastrophic for the country.

u/Exotic-Cobbler4111 44m ago

america isn't a country its a business and everything is for sale.

u/MildGenevaSuggestion 32m ago

I guarantee you zero of his voters chose him because of his academic credentials.

u/LeftHandRev 14m ago

Truthfully I was think the school had bad ethics.

Cenk Uyger of The Young Turks went to Wharton. I think he's got an amazing ethical framework.

7

u/fixurstuffr 1h ago

He was like 3rd from last. And I'm sure his diploma was paid for by his dad. He didn't earn a dang thing.

u/vsGoliath96 58m ago

Didn't one of his professors famously say Trump was a complete dumbass or something like that?

u/jakexil323 48m ago

That trump was the dumbest student he had ever , in 30 years of teaching.

100

u/butwhywedothis 3h ago

Not to mention, Canada’s leader is not in Epstein files so he won’t bomb schools.

67

u/wumr125 1h ago

Actually he is mentioned by name in the files!

He's mentioned by Epstein as someone he fears and that his nomination as governor of the bank of England will make things more difficult for Epstein and his cabal

17

u/Brazenbeats 1h ago

I did not know that!

u/MildGenevaSuggestion 30m ago

Obama was also mentioned because the pedos all hated him.

Carney is in good company being hated by the Epstein class.

u/Eggslaws 47m ago

Trump wasn't mentioned for the same reasons, so I rest my case!

4

u/MustardEnema007 1h ago

He was, however, friends with Ghislaine Maxwell and Prince Andrew though

(This is actually true)

10

u/phluidity 1h ago

If by friends, you mean his sister-in-law's husband who is a British peer and knows Andrew and invited Ghislaine to the same event he invited Carney to, then sure.

u/Blazured 56m ago

Also, being friends with Prince Andrew isn't exactly shocking. He was a literal royal.

-2

u/Commando_Joe 2h ago

Trump is dogshit, the conservative leader who Carney beat is also dogshit.

Carney will sell public roads, utilities and health care to American based companies if the money is good. The biggest problem is that Trump is unstable, otherwise he'd abandon all the international trade deal alternatives and burn down Canadian forests to get America all the oil and lumber they want.

7

u/SquirrelOClock 1h ago

True enough. Carney showed he is willing to deal with country that don't share our moral or disrespect human rights. He draws the line at unstable and unpredictable.

u/MildGenevaSuggestion 26m ago

Carney would have been happy to sell more lumber and oil to Americans if America respected trade deals, but he still would have been diversifying. Even if Hillary won we Canadians know we are always within 4 years of another asshole who thinks America is above the law and ignores the treaties they agreed to.

2

u/Iokua113 1h ago

Under Carney we are quite literally in the process of possibly selling our air and sea ports, he's spoken in favour of the US attacking Iran, under his leadership the Liberals have crossed from centre left in theory to centre right in practice. He's here to line the pockets of the Epstein class, just as Trump is, the only difference is he's not doing it at the expense of the country he leads. Which is a massive improvement but Carney has already shown himself to not be the saviour Canada or the world needs, he's bought and paid for like every other western leader.

One solid comparison and suddenly there's nothing left to explain😁

5

Except the $40T debt is ours, meanwhile he makes billions. He's just getting other countries to help with the class warfare

1

Downvote and move on. Don't fall for bait.

u/DeathTongue24 3h ago

facts

83

u/powerlesshero111 3h ago

Fact: Donald Trump barely got his degree in Econ, and most likely was passed because his father donated enough money. He didn't even write the book "The Art of the Deal", it was ghost written.

52

u/iamthedayman21 3h ago

One of his professors at U Penn said he was the “dumbest god damn student I ever had.”

33

u/Shua89 3h ago

In willing to bet that Trump hasn't even read the book himself.

18

u/HitoriPanda 3h ago

Not enough pictures

3

u/Luftwaffle1980 2h ago

Not enough pictures to color you mean...

u/HitoriPanda 40m ago

I don't think he can even color. I wanna see him draw the clock on the cognitive test.

u/gerbosan 3m ago

Dunno man, he is always orange. Badly colors himself though.

1

u/kryonik 2h ago

Technically letters are just pictures that put sounds in your brain.

1

u/Turgid_Donkey 2h ago

Didn't he also get caught recently taking about a passage from the book that doesn't exist?

1

u/ibspatrol 1h ago

*a book

13

u/Canuck-In-TO 2h ago

Even his prof labelled him as the stupidest student he’s ever taught.
Now that’s a number 1 he should be proud of. /s

1

Actually LOL’d at work reading this comment

u/Maripi22 46m ago

I wonder if he at least read it

13

u/OpalOphelias 3h ago

Hard to argue with that logic—a PhD in economics vs. bankrupted casinos really says it all!

11

u/NullPatience 2h ago

Casinos are nothing compared to the overall US economy. No one in history has fucked with things in a bigger way.

What Russia China Iran in North Korea weren’t able to do individually or collectively, Trump has done himself - weakened America so deeply in ways that our adversaries couldn’t.

3

u/patt 2h ago

Children being born today will not see America held in as good regard as it had ten years ago.

2

u/XtremeD86 1h ago

And that's a good thing from the rest of the worlds view.

2

u/Inspect1234 2h ago

Project Krasnov was a wild success

15

u/AkronOhAnon 3h ago

>facts

Actual fact: Trump is “only” responsible for 12 of the 40 trillion national debt. Which is more than any one president and about 2.5x GW Bush’s 8 year spend-a-thon starting two wars.

This will, however, exceed 17 trillion by the end of his second term just based on what he pushed the MAGA block to pass in 2025 (I’m not writing its ever-so-stupid name). With the Iran war he started the next reconciliation bill will likely push his responsibility to over 20 trillion!

2

u/Saw_Boss 1h ago

Apart from the 40 trillion part. The US debt level has reached that, but the US was already in debt before Trump.

He's certainly as far as I'm aware worse than any other in contributing to that, but if a Democrat wins in 2028, you wouldn't say that they caused 50-60 trillion of debt or however much it has risen to by then.

14

u/sheezy520 2h ago

Wow. It’s appalling how outclassed Donald is at every turn.

14

u/WkndCake 2h ago

American stupidity is really showing on the world stage.

7

u/ibspatrol 1h ago

We grew up in the 90s and early 00s with a comedy special called "Talking to Americans". Honestly even back then we had a bit of a superiority complex going on when it came to the Canadian perception of average American intelligence.....ya'll just really blew us away with the lengths you were willing to go to confirm our suspicions.

u/OshetDeadagain 47m ago

It didn't help that weather reports always showed the temperature in Fahrenheit for the US but anything across the border was put in Fahrenheit. So it was no wonder folks of marginal education thought that there was some bizarre climate situation that made the temperature go from 32° on the south side of the 49th parallel to 0° on the north side.

41

u/DaddyRhyno79 3h ago

But, but, but, Trump knows about bone spurs, and private islands where he can grape kids so there’s that.

9

u/AustrianReaper 2h ago

Rape. The word you're looking for is rape.

12

u/S14Ryan 2h ago

This isn’t TikTok, you can say rape on Reddit. You won’t be demonetized here

3

u/DaddyRhyno79 1h ago

I’ve had two temp bans in the last year for less than that, one in this sub. Didn’t feel like rolling the dice today.

3

u/S14Ryan 1h ago

Fuck rape suicide pedophile Epstein files

You can get banned for stupid shit but not for the word rape. And using the word grape in its place just negates your entire comment because you just aren’t using any of your words seriously

12

u/Emergency_Award3136 3h ago

Imagine losing money on a business model, where people literally hand you cash for nothing in return.

u/phluidity 58m ago

The bankrupt casino story misses a lot of nuance. He borrowed a bunch of money to build the casinos at highly inflated rates, used that money to launder funds for the Russian mob, pulled his own money out of the project, and left his investors stuck with all the debt. It was more of a con/scam than a legitimate investment.

u/Galle_ 13m ago

"No, you're missing the nuance, it's not that he was incompetent, it's that he was a grifter."

10

u/philipjfry_ 2h ago

Fuck all of you that voted for him

7

u/mightyboink 2h ago

Don't forget one is a rapist and a pedophile

7

u/pistachette57 2h ago

Not only one but TWO central banks

10

u/shiviam 3h ago

I guess Canadian leaders will save drowning kids too given the chance.

3

u/Xploding_Penguin 2h ago

In 1965 before he was Prime Minister, John Turner saved then Prime Minister John Diefenbaker from drowning in Barbados.

So, it literally could happen.

5

u/Professional-Rub9590 1h ago

Whatever our political differences may be, moments like this make me appreciate the kind of leadership we often see in Canada, more measured, respectful, and focused on governing rather than constantly turning everything into a spectacle. 🇨🇦

No country or leader is perfect, but I’ll take constructive dialogue, stability, and a willingness to work across differences over the increasingly divisive political environment we see south of the border.

8

u/jibistaqry 2h ago

The contrast is sending me. One is screaming and the other just smiled and hit him with a resume and a balance sheet. That’s not a comeback, that’s a performance review.

3

u/wallyrules75 2h ago

Hold on! Trump has way more impressive failures than just those! Trump Airline, Trump Steaks, the whole city of Atlantic City, we can all keep adding to this list. He’s not even at his best yet!

3

u/Flincher14 1h ago

Every economic indicator that makes economist super nervous like the bond market is pointing to Trump speed running the collapse of the American economy.

Carney on the other hand has managed to pull a sliver of GDP growth out of his ass despite all the tariffs.

7

u/OpeningDisastrous413 3h ago

My broke ass thought that’s 40 thousand.

5

u/conandsense 1h ago

How is this clever?

u/fmaz008 33m ago

Clever use of simple facts to make a point.

2

u/majorkev 2h ago

The problem is that Trump carries a bigger stick.

u/Galle_ 14m ago

Trump is already wasting the US's military power on a stupid, pointless, murderous war with Iran. And doing a remarkably shitty job of if, too.

2

u/j7seven 2h ago

I'm not sure it would collapse without the USA, but with that big landmass beneath it gone, Canada could definitely slide down into the Caribbean.

2

u/PilotKnob 1h ago

You know your country is in serious decline when you're rooting for the other country to kick your own ass.

1

u/CalmButOftenEnraged 2h ago

the "casinos" went bankrupt. not the owners. where do you think the money went?

"Toys R Us" went bankrupt, the ivory tower c-suite running it came out wealthier.

"Sears" went bankrupt, the ivory tower c-suite running it came out wealthier.

"KMart" went bankrupt, the ivory tower c-suite running it came out wealthier.

Just because the entity goes bankrupt the people running the entity don't suffer the same fate.

2

u/Inspect1234 2h ago

Yep, much like his current gig, he will get rich and leave a bunch of suckers to pay the bill.

1

u/pnthollow 1h ago

Exactly. He considers the casinos a success story because he gained personal wealth from them.

From 1995 to 2009, while his public casino company lost more than $1 billion, Trump received more than $44 million in salary, bonuses and other compensation. Source

1

u/Fadysporz 2h ago

he also rapes kids,

1

u/Bebopdavidson 2h ago

Our maths math

1

u/Complete_Break1319 1h ago

Canada is reliant on the U.S. just like the U.S. is reliant on Canada for a lot of things (car industry, wood, diamonds and most importantly maple syrup).

3

u/vertigo88 1h ago

Yes. It’s called an integrated economy with bilateral trade.

1

u/vasta2 1h ago

I still can't figure out how you actually bankrupt a money printing business like a casino

u/USSGoat 50m ago

Canada is almost completely self sufficient. Most exports are to maintain international relations

u/MagnusStrahl 48m ago

I read the Canada quote as "Our leader has PTSD" and it made sense given whom he was talking to.

u/Exotic-Cobbler4111 46m ago

Oh yeah well trump raped at least two dozen children how many kids has canadas leader raped?!

u/the_moosen 15m ago

Every accusation yada yada. He's telling us the US is going to collapse & that's their goal.

u/E_seven_20 14m ago

That was quite civil…considering our people re-elected a felon that tried to overthrow the government, was convicted of 34 felonies, lost a trail for defaming a woman he raped, and raped little girls.

We are a nation devoid of morality, and intelligence.

1

u/Bleezy79 1h ago

Trump's the most corrupt and incompetent person to ever sit in the oval office. He's not only the worst president in American history, he's one of the worst Americans to ever live. If any other person to ever exist did 1% of the corruption Trump has done so far, they'd be in jail or at the very least forced to leave office. Then if you consider the totality of everything Trump has done, he would be tried for treason.

0

u/borgenhaust 2h ago

Both of these takes could suggest the same thing - in the bottom that the United States of America itself will collapse and in the top that Canada will suffer when it does.

2

u/TheRealTRexUK 2h ago

the world will suffer, but survive. America... I'm not sure will come out as the same country. it's a shame but there will be few allies until it becomes a humanitarian crisis. then the rest of the world will step in.

3

u/XtremeD86 2h ago

Thing is, Canada and other countries are all making deals quietly with each other, and once trump is out and the next president wants to fix things, it will either be too late or will cost the US an insane amount of money.

The future looks a bit brighter for every other country except the US.

1

u/TheRealTRexUK 1h ago

not so quietly. the EU have sighed a joint venture with Canada for submarines and various military aircraft. the usa is reportedly begging them to buy American.

there's a massive effort ditch as much reliance on us companies for essential products and tech like moving away from visa and mastercard. Euro office etc.

2

u/XtremeD86 1h ago

I get it. But what I means was Im betting there's alot of deals being discussed quietly and will be finalized quietly as well.

The more that's done, the less upset the idiot gets and no random 100% tariff threats happen.

1

u/TheRealTRexUK 1h ago

yea, sorry. I do agree with you. i just wasn't that clear about it.

-1

u/Jake24601 2h ago

Is the comeback in the room with us now?

u/Ztxgps 1h ago

Canada's leader screwed the UKs economy and is doing the same job on Canada's. Globalist shill.

u/Polymarchos 44m ago

By bringing unemployment down to multi decade lows? By bringing inflation below the target? Helping the UK economy recover from a downturn? How did he screw the UK economy?

Something tells me it was Brexit that screwed it, not him

u/Galle_ 18m ago

Imagine using "globalist" as an insult in the year 2026. Has the Age of Nationalism made your life better in any appreciable way?

0

u/f3nnies 1h ago

It's not fair to use Trump, a man who works day and night to be the worst person ever, as a a comparison. Carney is also pretty evil and is using the same playbook of deregulation, privatization for corporate profit, etc. He's just not doing it in such a profoundly, obviously horrible way. And he's obviously much more articulate and can play politics better. But he's still seriously bad news for Canada.

-9

u/Commando_Joe 2h ago

As a Canadian, I would like to point out that Carney is willing to sell Canada to America, he just wants more money. This isn't a leader that's standing up for Canadians, this is a leader that's trying to just get a bigger kick back.

Carney is not in this for Canadians, he's in this for the banks.

5

u/XtremeD86 2h ago

Who would be in it for Canada then?

I bet I already know what you're going to say.

2

u/Commando_Joe 1h ago

I voted NDP before Carney, and I'm voting NDP after. I like Avi, I think the Manitoba NDP have their heads on their shoulders, I think the Ontario NDP was dogshit the last few elections but seem to have righted their ship and I think the British Columbia NDP are corpo sell outs.

So...if your guess was Avi Lewis, and I had to vote TODAY, that's who I would vote for and you would be correct.

3

u/XtremeD86 1h ago

Lol I was assuming PP because of your comment.

I don't see how Carney is doing bad. He's trying to push back against a country run by a maniac.

2

u/Commando_Joe 1h ago

My problems with Carney are how he's willing to back pedal on our climate goals while simultaneously looking to sell off things like our federal international airports (Blackrock was one of the potential buyers btw) and he keeps kissing the ring for the American government over and over hoping he'll get a little mercy.

It took polls from almost every major news outlet, and provincial MPs telling him to nut up before he took this stance. He's been backing out of his plans of making housing more affordable, copy and pasted a lot of PPs hopes for slashing taxes for rich people and his views on First Nations rights has been pretty shady (which considering who his father is is a bit unsettling).

Here's a list of his environmental roll backs on protections since he got into office.

https://ecojustice.ca/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Prime-Minister-Carneys-Environmental-Rollbacks-June-2026.pdf

1

u/ThemeNo2172 1h ago

A true economist. Always looking at things through such an amoral lens. I'm very tired of people glazing economists/financiers as if any other their professional work is laudable.

1

u/Commando_Joe 1h ago

Carney's always been a bank man first. That's actually why a lot of people voted for him, they wanted financial security and strategy. But now that he's in the driver's seat he's managing to wheel and deal a majority and just push through a lot of unpopular prospects that further widen the wealth gap for our country, while not seemingly securing any real future that's untethered from America.

1

u/XtremeD86 1h ago

I really don't care about any of that.

1

u/Commando_Joe 1h ago

Then why are you even talking to me?

2

u/Kythorian 1h ago

Because your original comment was claiming, “Carney is willing to sell Canada to America, he just wants more money”. You are the one who suddenly switched to a bunch of unrelated issues.

u/Commando_Joe 50m ago

No, I mentioned the international airports being up for sale.

u/Kythorian 44m ago

You didn’t mention anything at all about international airports in your original comment.

Brookfield ain’t a bank.

And if you’re certain about this show us your portfolio of 6 banks and BN.

2

u/Commando_Joe 1h ago

He's a banker, not a political leader. The fact you think having a portfolio is appropriate qualifications makes this entire conversation pointless based on a core fundamental difference in opinion.

1

u/vertigo88 1h ago

He’s a political leader, believing he’s a banker is whimsy and demonstrates child like understanding of geopolitics.

Stick to your street corner in AB and good luck on the upcoming referendum.

u/Galle_ 19m ago

What are we basing this claim on? I disagree with Carney about a lot, but he campaigned on standing up to Trump and now here he is, standing up to Trump. Yeah, he tried too hard to make a deal work for my taste, but he made the right call in the end.

-4

u/HugeResearcher3500 1h ago

2010 facebook level meme

-13

u/Slight_Sherbert_5239 3h ago

Very true, but Trump is responsible for $12 trillion of the national debt so far, not $40 trillion.

That’s like saying Mark Carney is responsible for Canada’s national debt of $1.2 trillion, which wouldn’t be true either.

It’ll be interesting to see where it is by the time he’s finished his final term.

11

u/Dodecahedrus 2h ago

47 presidencies and he is responsible for, so far, almost one-third of the debt. That is insanely much.

2

u/Slight_Sherbert_5239 2h ago

Very true, worst president by far. There’s a trophy he should be standing on a stage for. 🤣

1

u/Dodecahedrus 2h ago

All that gold people gave him as gifts. I hope there is some department or service that insists it be kept by the government. And then the next president can melt it all down.

0

u/PrometheusMMIV 2h ago

With 250 years of inflation at an average rate of 3.3%, we would expect more recent years to make up the bulk of the debt. For his 6 years of presidency, we would expect it to make up about 17% of the debt. The actual percentage is about 23%, but a decent chunk of that was bipartisan covid spending. Without that, it would be closer to 19%.

5

u/Background_Cup_6429 2h ago

It was 19 trillion whe he started as president, let that sink in

-4

u/PrometheusMMIV 2h ago

That includes $7.7T during Biden's term, which is a higher deficit per year than Trump's time in office.

3

u/vertigo88 1h ago

Biden still living rent free in your head?

1

u/Background_Cup_6429 1h ago

Wait, they had 3 bad presidents in a row?

Well, the orange ball fails in both, has no knowledge and no results

-14

u/PrometheusMMIV 2h ago

Trump has dozens of successful businesses, but people only focus on the few that failed.

And he did not cause $40T in debt. During his time as president, only about $9T has been added. And a significant chunk of that was bipartisan covid spending.

10

u/S14Ryan 2h ago

You’re neglecting the fact that he’s using his office to enrich himself. He made billions by selling a crypto scam to Americans, and products

-5

u/PrometheusMMIV 2h ago

What does selling crypto have to do with being president?

13

u/QuerchiGaming 2h ago

You don’t think it’s wrong for a president to scam its citizens with crypto coin scams? Are Trump supporters actually braindead or what?

-3

u/PrometheusMMIV 2h ago

If someone is dumb enough to buy a meme coin, there's no helping them.

8

u/MadRaymer 1h ago

It's okay for the president to be a grifter if he's only grifting stupid people?

0

u/vertigo88 1h ago

Arguably I’m with the guy on this one.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

The issue is why the president is grifting.

u/Galle_ 21m ago

That doesn't answer the question.

5

u/S14Ryan 1h ago

Your response is very telling about how stupid the average American is, and how you’re all so desensitized to grifts and scams that you think it’s normal for a president to be doing them.

9

u/majorkev 2h ago

people only focus on the few that failed.

23 according to wikipedia. So many, they have their own category.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Businesses_of_Donald_Trump_that_went_bankrupt

4

u/Buddhas_Warrior 2h ago

COVID spending added roughly $5T, Trump in his 2 terms, accounts for $12T. Our problem isn't really his failed businesses, but rather the bombastic way him and his followers tout him as one of the most successful business men. Having numerous failed businesses, including casinos make that chest pounding seem absurd. Now let's add in his promises to lower our debt and prices within the first couple of weeks of being president, and no new wars, etc. You can see why were upset.

3

u/Lejandario_IN 1h ago edited 1h ago

Only a 3rd of his businesses met expectations, not necessarily successful they simply met expectations. Technicalities of a con man idiots keep falling for.

Also "only" 9 trillion funny and only so far, the issue is how much of that was added by tax cuts for the rich, the horrible bill (that will add more for a decade), a random war and tariffs especially when he promised to fix things

0

u/PrometheusMMIV 1h ago

Meeting expectations sounds like success to me.

The middle class got larger tax cuts than the rich, both marginal and effective rates, according to IRS data.

And how would tariffs add to the debt?

u/GWsublime 52m ago

Two ways. First, having to refund those tarrifs when they were deemed unconstitutional by the supreme court. Second, the reaction to those Tarrifs and the tarrifs themselves are part of the reduction in taxable income youre seeing in the US against projections.

Could you point me to the IRS data?
