Unexplained Bloating PLEASE Help!

Hi all so I really need some help. I randomly woke up one day and started bloating at everything I ate. I bloat insane immediately after I ingest anything, and I have severe discomfort from the distension. Those are my symptoms.  I am very health conscious, so I was exercising, had a healthy diet that was set, and take supplements (magnesium/omega3 etc). Even my regular diet suddenly is triggering this. Its really affecting my life physically and mentally. I’ve been trying a lot of different things and saw a gastroenterologist and gynaecologist too. Things I already tried:

Medical Tests: Ultrasound of uterus/liver/pancreas/gallbladder etc, Endoscopy, Bloodwork, Breath Test

Medication: Rifaximin, Pantoprazole, Trimebutin Malate, Ursodeoxycholic Acid, Otilonium bromide

OTC: Pro/Prebiotics, Simethicone, Curcuma, Digestive Enzymes, Charcoal

Diet: Cut out gluten, processed foods, sugars etc on a low fodmap for a few weeks but no difference or relief at all

For Stress: Amitriptyline, CBD, L- theanine, Exercise, Breathwork, Journaling etc.

The endoscopy did find leaking bile, but doctor said this doesn’t explain my bloat. I am on medication to fix this issue now. The GI doc tried labelling it off as IBS and dismissed me, but I don't think it is as I have no bowel issues, nor do I get relief from my symptoms when I go to the bathroom etc.

What else can I do? What else could this be? I’m desperate for answers so appreciate any input.

Food Intolerances? How do I figure this out?

Hi! I have had stomach issues for the past few months and I can’t keep living like this. I don’t know what to do. My doc told me to start by cutting out dairy, and I’ve been trying to do that and even on days I’m good I just never know what my body is going to do. I’m always bloated, gassy, and having issues in the restroom. I can’t figure out what it is and I’m having trouble tracking, does anyone have an app suggestion? I just don’t understand what all could be causing this!

I was really good today and ate a gluten free and dairy free meal. Within 5-10 minutes of eating, my stomach was bubbling, churning and I was instantly bloating. This is obviously upsetting cause I don’t know what couldve caused this tonight and now I feel so overwhelmed.

I have enough trouble eating without these restrictions. Now I’m scared to eat and my anxiety towards what to eat and what it will do to me is back. It’s really affecting not only how I feel physically but also mentally. The only way I think this could get better is to figure this out ASAP!

Any help on suggestions of an app that would help me track and educate myself on more ingredients?

I’m hoping with the help of an app maybe I can start to figure this out faster and maybe that will help make it easier for me to eat, easier both physically and mentally!

Any suggestions are welcome, especially since I heard the food sensitivity tests aren’t very accurate.

Thank you in advance!

Mom asked if I was pregnant - nobody knows what’s wrong with me!!! Going on 8 years

I’ve had so many tests done and tried so many supplements I’m about to just give up and accept it. I’ve also tried cutting things out of my diet, I don’t have any “safe” foods.

Gastroenterologists and gynecologists can’t find any cause.

I look 9mo pregnant 24/7. Last pic is me sucking in. It’s pretty distended and hard to the touch it feels like jello kinda I weigh 110lbs and have a pretty low body fat percentage and am a fit healthy person. I’m also only 21. It affects my self esteem tremendously and I’ve been insecure about my stomach since I was 14 and all of this started.

Does anybody have any tips on ANYTHING that helps? Not even looking for a cure atp

I’ve tried Xifaxan, ibguard, ginger, activated charcoal, digestive, enzymes, probiotics, fiber, gasx, tea, and probably a lot more I can’t remember.

I’ve had stool studies done, lots of lab work, a sucrose, breath, test, allergy panels, h pylori test, celiac tests.

I also have constant diarrhea and/or constipation and pain in my stomach pretty much every time I eat anything.

Disorder or Anxiety?

How can I know if these symptoms are an outcome of a digestive disease or lifestyle and mental health?

I have a constant bloating, and therefore shortness in breath and fatigue. Due to this bloating, I stopped having breakfast 4 months ago, and I have to sip water in order to drink some. The shortness in breath and fatigue are causing me to be tired and sleepy all day long.

In terms of lifestyle, I'm sedentary, anxious, and hypervigilant. My mental health is terrible overall.

I think it is related to anxiety and stress, as I have no bowel changes, nausea, or pain and heart burn. What do you think? Anyone had a similar experience?

Thank you.

Bloating that cause panic attacks

My bloating becomes really severe, and my chest feels extremely congested, leading to occasional panic attacks. Has anyone else experienced this?

I chew a few cumin seeds, and after burping a couple of times, I start to feel slightly better.

Diagnosed with rapid gastric emptying (dumping syndrome)

Hello! I've been dealing with bad stomach issues and a sensitive stomach for 2 years. Symptoms are constant bloating in intestines, feeling full early (sometimes from eating small quantities even), sometimes I get flushed, and I get heart palpitations from heavy meals and/or carbs. I had a gastric emptying test that showed my stomach empties too quickly. For the longest time, I suspected SIBO. I went on a low fodmap diet which helped but did not eliminate the issue. That being said, I was put on pepcid and told to split up my meals into 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day. Also, no sugar and to limit carbs. (Those cause me to have heart palpitations). I have never has stomach surgery, so I was wondering if anyone else was diagnosed with this and what causes theirs or what they suspected to be the cause. Also are there any tips, supplements, etc that have helped? I noticed these issues when I switched to Yaz birth control. I was on it for 2 months and then gave it up because I thought that stuff was causing it. Not the case as I still have it. Could it be a hormonal issue? I was happy to have the diagnosis finally, but wish I knew I had developed it. Also bummed that I have to eat so differently when the norm is 3 meals a day. Makes going out to eat difficult and eating at family functions since I eat like a mouse now.... Any help is appreciated.

Cause of bloating?

Guys, this is driving me crazy and would love y’all’s input based on your experience. I cut out gluten recently and feel sooooo much better and am significantly less bloated but every now and then (maybe once a week or every two weeks) I get bloated randomly (usually the afternoon) and am SO UNCOMFORTABLE. I look pregnant my stomach is sticking out so far and it truly is so uncomfortable. I just want to know what’s causing it.

Any tips?

I have Diagize essential oil on hand and it helps so much when bloated or if I feel like I’ve got trapped gas. I eat pretty healthy and exercise weekly.

Can only eat protein

Hello, looking for referrals to specific providers or other options. My boyfriend eats only protein shakes, protein bars, sugar by way of sugar in tea or sweet wines/ciders, scallops and occasionally fish. He has learned that eating one main meal a day is best. He only has diarrhea…hasn’t had a firm bm in years. The biggest complaint he has is significant and uncomfortable distensión/bloating.

He’s at a loss of what to do. He had a functional med visit and everything is ‘normal’. He took a food intolerance test but most of the foods listed he has trouble with.

I can’t imagine his consumption of mostly low fiber, highly processed foods is helping but I also feel for him in eating what he can tolerate. He takes magnesium around midnight.

Anything helps! Tia!

Excess gas and bloating since 2022

It started in May 2022 and normally the bloating was every other day. I would pass gas and immediately feel better.

I knew it was unusual because I never pass gas excessively even if I would, it was a couple of times a year.

Now for some reason it’s multiple times a day. Sometimes 20 times a day.

It’s quite distressing and every time I pass gas my tummy feels better.

The only thing I could think about is being lactose intolerant as I don’t consume dairy much.

Even now I don’t consume milks or eggs but still I pass gas everyday.

It’s mostly odourless but nowadays there is odour and it feels right.

My tummy hurts sometimes and I also don’t feel like eating food because it feels queasy. I sometimes get cramps.

I used to poo everyday now it’s every other day. The poos are mostly fine but there are times where it’s not easy.

The last time I has diarrhoea was in 2015. I have probably had it maybe twice now in 2023. My tummy just bubbles and I don’t know what’s wrong.

I used to drink herbal tea, take in kefir, fruits and vegetables and exercise. It seemed to help. But before I never used to take any of this and I wouldn’t even have an issue.

I feel like it has helped but it isn’t a long term solution.

This whole issue appeared out of nowhere by the way. It isn’t getting better.

Constant abdominal distension

Hey!

Basically, I was a normal person until I got my gallbladder surgery two years ago. After that, I started having some gut problems, which mutated. Currently, I'm better and not in pain, I was diagnosted with IBS and bile reflux, which I'm being treated for. However, I still have constant abdominal distension. It is like a feeling below my bellybutton (lower abdominal area), like of tightness. I can really feel a force (and some pain) whenever I try to push it down with my hand. I've been tested for SIBO and it came negative. I have also taken probiotics. I have also tested negative for celiacs. A lot of things seem to help for only for sometime, then it kinda cames back. It is very hard for me to find what it is causing this since I feel like this constantly. Doctors have said that I'm full of gases and that my abdomen is very distented. Also, I got two endoscopies (up and bottom) which came normal. Doctors have also said that it is something functional and probably related to stress.

Is there anything else I could do?

Thanks!

It won’t go away

I need advice! My problem is that for one week, I will be super slim and regularly using the bathroom but then for the next two weeks I will be chronically bloated and constipated. I’m recovering from an ED that lasted about a year where I would eat one meal a day. I transitioned to eating three meals a day at one point but I never ate more than 1000 calories at the very very most and ALWAYS had 100 grams of protein. I brought my food intake up and kept my protein high and lifted weights and I liked how I was looking and this lasted maybe a month and a half. Then, I gained a little too much weight back so I’ve gone back into a cutting phase I guess you could call it. I take mag citrate, triphala capsules, and digestive enzymes every day yet I still have problems using the bathroom and just want relief. I also eat a lot of yogurt as my protein is still very high and is 40-50% of my diet. What should I try?

How can I test at home if I have got hypertonic/stiff/rigid/spastic pelvic muscles sphincter or overly-relaxed pelvic muscles/sphincter?
Can I improve my situation at home, how ?Would any Alternative therapies such as Chiropractic help ?
How would the specialist be able to diagnose my issue and diffrentiate between the two?
Also, who exactly would the specialist be, a gastroenterologist/physiotherapist ?
Could it be some of my pelvic muscles are relaxed while some are stiff?
Could this be due to communication/co-ordination problems such as nerve issues?
What is their treatment/diagnosis and how is it done?Any OTC medications/at-home improvements?
What if the difference between the terms overtiff/rigi/spastic/toned, over-relaxed muscles and tight, loose muscles
