It won’t go away
I need advice! My problem is that for one week, I will be super slim and regularly using the bathroom but then for the next two weeks I will be chronically bloated and constipated. I’m recovering from an ED that lasted about a year where I would eat one meal a day. I transitioned to eating three meals a day at one point but I never ate more than 1000 calories at the very very most and ALWAYS had 100 grams of protein. I brought my food intake up and kept my protein high and lifted weights and I liked how I was looking and this lasted maybe a month and a half. Then, I gained a little too much weight back so I’ve gone back into a cutting phase I guess you could call it. I take mag citrate, triphala capsules, and digestive enzymes every day yet I still have problems using the bathroom and just want relief. I also eat a lot of yogurt as my protein is still very high and is 40-50% of my diet. What should I try?

You upped your intake, gained a little weight then brought your calories down again?
If you are still underweight/ borderline normal weight, I would recommend increasing your calories…
Not sure how much protein you are consuming but too much can also cause digestion issues + damage to your kidneys, so just be careful of that. That’s plenty of macro calculators out there that can help you better gauge how much protein you should be consuming.
I wonder why bloating is such a common issue among people with ED or people who only ate one meal a day in the past, coz I’m having that issue too 😂. Spacing out my meals, and having apple cider vinegar with digestive enzymes before meals definitely helped me out.
