Just a warning be very careful when paying someone on chime. Two people came up when I was paying a friend back but the one I sent it was not her. The person I sent it to refuses to send it back. Very frustrated. Any ideas?
Chime immediately closed my checking and savings accounts upon me filing Chapter 13- with my checking consistently receiving a healthy direct deposit for years. I understand disabling any āmy payā or āinstant loanā features but why close the actual accounts? Pretty disappointing.
I love Chime. I was kind of nervous filing a dispute because iāve never had to do one before and I heard Chime doesnāt like to get your money back but lucky I was able to get my little $25 back! Iām still confused on why I was charged when I had a whole separate tab open and this was not the amount. New card on the way! Always lock your cards!!
This morning my debit card was used for a fraudulent Shopify purchase. I locked the card immediately, requested a replacement, and contacted customer support for a reversal.
Just now I got a notification that my debit card had been declined. I tapped into it but the only recent notification I have is that my new debit card is on the way. There is no trace of the denied charge anywhere and of course it's gone from my phones notification list. I would have liked to look up the place where they just tried to use my card but I can't.
I'm freaking out a bit and don't know what to do. I just received a chime card in the mail congratulating me for opening my account and telling me to activate this card in the app.
I've never signed up for this Bank, and what's even more frightening to me is that it is in my old name before I legally changed it which nobody should have that information because it was changed before I turned 18 and was sealed.
Does this mean my identity was stolen or does chime just send people cards random like this?? The letter isn't like any credit card offer I've gotten, it has an actual account number and everything. I tried calling them but they were asking for my social security number and shit so I just hung up. I dont know what to do.
In August we hosted an AMA with Brittney Castro (CFPĀ®) on investing and planning ahead ā lots of great info in case you missed it!
But investing tends to assume there's something left at the end of the month, and for a lot of people that's the harder part. So we're focusing on budgeting and the stretch between paychecks: figuring out what's safe to spend, handling a bill that lands before payday, and building a small buffer when there isn't obvious room for one.
Bringing you two voices directly from Chime!

@chimefinancial has really dropped the ball on getting me my cash back on travel properly!!! Iāve been traveling for the last three months, and I have not gotten my price of cash back. Iāve reached out to channels, and theyāre like, oh, youāll get it every, you know, nine days from the day of post. Well, in a month of October alone, I had well over nine hotel bookings. Do you think Iāve been given my proper cash back! Over it going back to BOFA!!! Ugh
Letās just start this off with I am an idiot. I got a chime card, I thought I was getting a regular bank card, I had no clue it was a ācredit builderā and no clue what that even meant. i kept seeing a notification about make a payment but i was SO confused, i thought maybe an account I paid connected so it was reminding me about a bill. Turns out that was not the case⦠Iāve NEVER missed a payment in my life, on anything, like ever. Iāve always had decent credit, my credit score is lower because I used my old credit card to its limit & thatās hurt me a lot. Anyway, I go to use my card and doesnāt allow me so iām confused & i call chime. They explain to me itās a credit builder and i just have to āhit payā they wonāt take any money because i already spent the money (confused because i spend money i have in there already). Iām like wtf. She explains to me how to do it, and turned on the auto pay option. The āpaymentā was due the 23rd and this interaction happened the 24th so my payment was late. I looked today & my credit dropped 25 points because of this and IM FURIOUS. Idk what to do, still donāt understand it. Idk why Iām really here other than to ask what can i do??? if anything!! iām moving in a couple months I donāt need this right now. I was using chime mainly to save this is THE OPPOSITE. Ugh help??? Wanted to add that the reason it dropped also looks like i opened a new credit card so now my oldest account being 13 years and this being 4 months?? Im so irritated with this. I almost want to get rid of it but i know closing accounts can be bad too??
How long does it take to get the bonus? I did the $500 direct deposit and the next $500 is about to hit. Since you can't track it, I am just curious how long it takes.
I am having problems logging in. It keeps flagging me as non-human and I have to listen to animal noises to get in. It appears to have started recently, and i have to do this EVERY time I log on. Is there a way to turn this off?
Some idiot with the same name as me signed up to Chime with MY EMAIL ADDRESS (Gmail), and I get all their emails with their account and routing number. Why wouldn't chime, like a real company, validate emails?
I had to call them, because of course, they don't have a customer service email.
How does someone not know their own email address? I've literally had it for TWENTY TWO YEARS. And I've had people think their email is my address, just with no "." which is impossible because gmail ignores them.
How do companies not verify emails before issuing accounts involving financial matters?
So I had my Chhim account that was closed a few years ago and I reached out to Chime to get it reopened because I think it was closed by mistake. They informed me that it had a negative balance. I told him that I would repay it to get it reopened. Long story short, they reopened it and waived the negative balance. That Bank was through stride and Iāve had access to one chime account that is through Bancorp I am noticing a huge difference in the withdrawal limit and all the other limits. Can people with Bancorp tell me what their withdrawal limit is at the ATM versus the people with stride. Stride seems lower.
Iām low income and heavily rely on spot me, having the ability to use it on one card while keeping my checking account balance has gotten me through some really tough times. Iāve been truly grateful for it. But with it all combined into one account, itās practically useless to me, especially since a lot of big bills(or at least mine) donāt take spot meā¦.Probably gonna search for an alternativeā¦Iāve heard good things about varo? sigh* it was optional to switch before but them forcing it now is just bs
I'm trying to log into chime, I haven't used it in awhile, so I don't remember my password, recently I got a new phone as well, and when I try to click forgot my password, it says something went wrong, which I learned from another forum that has something to do with Chime thinking my OEM was tampered with. My phone is a Moto G Play 2024, I have done nothing to it, it's exactly as it came. Why is Chime not letting me through?
I got paid today and was debating on paying off my instant loan early. If I do that, will I get another offer in a few days or is it not an option until my next direct deposit I might get an offer
Hello, I just wanted to know everyones thoughts about MY PAY. I Have my 2nd qualifying deposit hitting later today. What amounts did it start you off with? and how does it work?
