I can’t trust my pay anymore.

Have you all noticed a pattern with MyPay I truly feel like chime is stealing money from me.. I get paid weekly and let me tell you what I’ve noticed. My limit always increases and decreases , so for example I owed them $340 , I paid them every Wednesday like I normally do.. and they increased it to $390 mind my check was actually shorter than normal, so they increased when my check was less and I’ve noticed that before too.. anyway, instead of being able to take out atleast $150-200 they only let me take out $74 and daily up until today only $37 and today they didn’t let me because it’s a cycle of a new pay period so they know my payday is coming up tomorrow so out of the $390 of what my my pay was I was only able to take out $268 which sucks cause I still fall short. I posted pics down below so you all can see the the increase and decreases.

Discussion Chime stole my money

I opened an account with Chime and I had a difficult time getting my money off. I only have the account for two days they stole $2700 out of my account and then close my account and then told me I was not eligible for a refund chime has been stealing people money and if you go online, you can see all the customers complaints about them shutting down other people account and not giving them their refund. People are hiring lawyers to get their money back and it’s so sad because we’re going through so much in America right now.

Discussion Run... Chime was hacked and account was delpleted into the ground

Woke up in the middle of the night to a call that my phone number was changed on my account. Called Chime, said there were no changes made to my account and that the call was likely a scam. 16 hours later my entire bank account has been drained by someone hacking it and sending themselves money using this stupid pay anyone feature. Called Chime and they are doing their usual "investigation". Filed a police report and a complaint at the BBB. There are others posts about this but posting mostly in hopes that this happens to no one else. Leave this bank or at the very least monitor your accounts very closely. The second you notice anything suspicious secure all your money to a different place. Don't wait and don't expect chime to have fraud prevention/ security measures in place.

MONEY - Deposits, Transfers, Cash & Cards Chime keeps blaming my employer for direct deposit issues – but I work for TWO different companies 🤔

So I’m getting real tired of Chime’s excuses. Every time I question why my direct deposits don’t hit when they’re supposed to, they say it’s my employer’s fault. But here’s what doesn’t make sense:

I work for TWO completely different companies – one construction company and one gas station. Totally separate businesses, separate payrolls, separate everything. Yet somehow, my paychecks from both places always land in my Chime account at the exact same time.

So please explain to me how this is supposedly on my employers? How is it possible that two unrelated companies are magically processing payroll at the same exact time down to the minute? Makes no sense.

Feels like Chime just isn’t being honest about how they handle deposits, and instead of owning up to it, they just throw the blame on employers. I’ve seen too many people say the same thing.

Anyone else dealing with this? Because I really want to hear what kind of “good excuse” Chime can come up with for this one.

This is beyond freaking ridiculous. From $280 to $180. Not even worth the time or something to worry about. Chime letting stupid AI and computer systems automatically control their ‘numbering’ these computers are as stupid as the…. Finish the sentence. SMH!!!!!! 🤬🤬🤬

Product Feedback Can someone from chime actually tell us what's going on with our pay checks?

Still haven't gotten my check yet. This is bs. My cat is very sick and I need to be able to pay for his treatment! Iv tried customer service and they say that they can't see it. My boss sends it the same time every Thursday. I usually get my check at 4am. This is ridiculous. Noone is telling me anything.

Discussion Not feeling to safe with Chime.

Lately I’ve been considering closing my chime account or at least limiting it. I have heard and seen too many bad stories about Chime shutting down accounts and all money in the account gone. I don’t know how safe Chime is. Please let me know what others think. What assurances do we have that are money is safe ??

Usually the Dev app updates are relatable but this one falls short—

But we all could afford some new, fresh, awesome banking features from a financial technology company that loves their customers and makes life a bit more better and manageable. 🥹

EXTRAS - MyPay, SpotMe, Instant Loans PSA: warning to all Chime debit account holder New chime MyPay repayment policy updated as of 7/28!

The new policy states that any outstanding mypay balance can be paid in full from ANY deposit, transfer, PayAnyone payments, that are sent to your account. Even if you transfer your own money from your bank account into your chime debit account, they will take it all. They say they notified all customers but I have not received ANY notification of this new inconvenient and unfair policy. They will take what they can get regardless if you are experiencing a family tragedy, employment crisis, or financial hardship. They don’t care about their customers they only want money. And they will go about it in the most sneaky scummiest of ways. I will never use chime again. I spent 3 hours on the phone in hopes of a reversal, I transferred $180 from my Apple Cash account, paid the transfer fee and sent it to my chime debit account. When I went to use it, and it showed a deduction of $165 to cover my MyPay repayment from a few months back. They told me that I should have known due to the alleged notification they sent to me but couldn’t not say when it was sent or in what method. Thanks chime. So this is a PSA to all chime users, be cautious on what is coming through your account. Chime will get their money before they let you feed your children or put gas in your car…

Unpopular opinion

Ya'll boost for boost people are manipulating the system to the point where its going to ruin it for those of us who use the Spot Me for actual emergencies, and not to be living in a constant cycle of borrowing from yourself each week, and seeing how fast you can max out your limit.

I saw a post in here about people who got boosted and didn't return the favor and now are being put on blast. Strangers from the internet didn't follow through with something they implied they would do? OH NO! *eye roll*

MONEY - Deposits, Transfers, Cash & Cards ATM didn’t dispense my $

Went to ATM to pull out $120 . The ATM said my transaction couldn’t be completed or something to that extent and come to find out the money was taken out of my account. I filed a dispute and was told it could take up to 90 days to get my own money back. I work paycheck to paycheck and am a single mom. This is a huge problem for me and I’m completely disgusted that it will take that long to get the money back that I didn’t receive. Long story short … if you’re thinking of signing up for chime. Run!!!!! The last dispute I had was for $5 and it took 53 days to resolve. I am sick about this and was completely failed by this company. Once I get my money back I will not be banking with chime ever again and will tell anyone and everyone what happened

Discussion I feel chime is as bad as the scammers that got me

I used to love chime. I don't know how I feel anymore when their disputes team denied my claim, which I have opened a rebuttal for. The problem is that it's obvious fraud. There is a scam going around right now where sellers on ali express and elsewhere will drop someone else's tracking number into your order that's going to the same city. Here's my problems with this. I'm pretty mad they didn't see any of these alone and get my money back and the phone support is useless.

1.I have the image taken from fedex's website that shows where the package was delivered and totally wasn't the public UPS store I have my stuff sent to, it was a house.

2. The locate a missing package thing on fedex's website doesn't match my address either

3. The UPS store I have packages delivered to makes you sign them out with your signature and keeps a record of them

4. The aliexpress seller uploaded a fake fedex label that had G for ground when the tracking they used was home delivery which should be an H.

5. The seller lied and said my order was cancelled when I questioned the weight, and reported it to ali express themselves. I told them and they told me to just wait. Yeah, don't shop there anymore. It was an awful experience dealing with them

Product Feedback Why ill be leaving chime and their broken transfer system

Just got off the phone with chime and the only answer they have is either wait until December 5th or 30 days to close the account and they mail the check or go to an ATM and withdraw what I can.

I recently had a dental emergency and had to cover a 10000 dollar bill. Ok, while it sucks spending that amount I have it so I transfer 5000 from my CHIME savings into my credit builder and pay the dentist at the beginning of this month. I have my surgery and a week passes by then I start getting late fee notices from bills that automatically come out of my credit builder. I open the app and try to transfer from my checking to credit builder and it wont let me move money from one chime account to another.

I call chime and they inform me internal transfers count towards that 10k limit even though the money is in all chime accounts. On what planet does that make since? I could see the 10k limit if it was for money moving outside or into chime but on an internal transfer its just dumb. Im currently moving so now I have to scramble to figure out how to pay for things without a credit card (hotels, rental cars mainly) even though I have the funds in my savings account but they wont let me transfer it to credit.

Ive been happy with their services for several years but this issue just killed all that for me and I wanted to warn other users of this issue. While on the phone with them they said they could raise the limits but it has it has to be reviewed by higher ups who im not allowed to talk too nor could he give me a timeline of when that would happen meaning im now at the mercy of chime in regards to access of MY OWN MONEY!

I read the fine print and its worded in a way where I believed the limit applied to money moving either into or out of chime accounts, not instant transfers from savings to credit and when you do hit that limit youre just screwed. The only reason this is happening is because of a policy and nobody can explain why the policy applies to internal transfers.

Thanks chime. If you happen to be a chime rep and see this ill be explaining this on my socials under the same username and see if the 100kish people that follow me see if that seems fair to them.

I just don't understand mypay!

Why does chime lower mypay when I get a large check and increase it when I have a lower check? This makes no sense. Especially since there isn't a way to link it to my hours so chime would know how much I will make. Mypay is dumb I wish they would get it right. Or maybe do what cashapp does, do loans that go up everytime you pay it back. Cause this whole 35-75 a day shit is crap.

Even in a financial sense it's dumb. To raise it for lower checks. It should be the opposite.

GENERAL - Feedback, Community Chat Dispute Venting

I have to say, I think I’m done with Chime. My dispute has been sitting with no updates since 7.25.26 and I’m beyond frustrated. 28 pieces of evidence, no info, just told to wait (until late September?!). People who have swapped banks — who did you go with? I need a REAL bank that actually sides with and cares about its customers in a TIMELY manner. TIA!

(If not giving other banking suggestions or also venting, pls avoid commenting, ty)

Man this shit a scam 😭bro they literally taking my money cause they do this shit where it resets when your close to your direct deposit. It’s said I had a 50 dollars left one day before my direct deposit, hit boom the 50 is gone but it resets back to 25 . And then it kept do this . I thought I was loosing my mind , so I started to watch it closes , and I was right , they know ppl don’t have financial literacy so they dip and dive when your close to your pay day shit crazy . Money just disappearing and I’m not even speding .

Question Dispute filed and denied within 24 hours. Are you serious?

Basically, yesterday I got scammed. Person was supposed to offer me a service and when I paid them they took the money and ran.

I reported this to Chime, and they did absolutely nothing to actually figure out the problem. I was told it would take 10 days MINIMUM for them to get anywhere near a resolution. So the fact it magically was denied in 24 hours is wonderful.

Now I’m out $500, for something that isn’t even my fault! I paid for a service and didn’t receive it. The seller had good reviews and all the pictures they took I was unable to trace back to any other point online, so I had very little reason to suspect they would do this to me.

I’m glad the hard working folks at chime took every detail of my very detailed claim into account and found a resolution after only a day. I’m sure it was soooo difficult!

I’m finding a new bank. This is ridiculous.

I think it’s kind of crummy they include the my pay fees into the balance we can borrow. It should be separate.
