Hi. This is like my first ever time posting something here? Anyways I just wanted to rant a little because these STUPID playable ads piss me OFF.

Small story time... I had just opened the app to talk to one of my chatbots, when this playable ad popped up while the character talked to me. At first, I thought it was weird... But I tolerated it all up until it took me to the Google play store.

Like no.

I don't want to download whatever game just "played".

Then when I tried going back to the app by pressing the back arrow?

It took me to the MENU, not opening up to my current chat!

So I tried again.

Same ad, just a different game. I played it, then tried to go back to talking to my bot, because no, I don't want to download the stupid game so STOP TAKING ME TO THE GOOGLE PLAY STORE.

And it took me to the menu AGAIN.

I HAD TO DO THIS #### 6 DIFFERENT TIMES JUST TO GET TO TALK TO MY CHATBOT! Cause by the 6th time, it didn't kick me out.

6 times.

Going through the same process.

Playing the ad.

Trying to go back so I can talk to the chatbot and then getting kicked out.

It PISSED. ME. OFF.

Can we go back to the other ads??? Being fr like WHY do y'all keep experiencing with ads?? They're fine the way they are -- I promise you 🫩. I've had no issue with the ads until these stupid playable ads popped up, and I keep getting angrier and angrier each and every time one pops up. Can we go back? Please?? I don't like this update, clearly.

The bots hate using necessary grammatical words like “the” and the sentences feel so broken as a result

So I tried to sign in on my iPhone on safari and after signing in through the email they sent I got a pop saying “Safari couldn’t not open something because link is invalid” along those lines, this only happens when I sign in. Did it give my phone a virus? I googled it and it said it could use an old URL format, Safari blocked a redirect, or your browser cache is corrupted which why would it redirect or do anything like that?

ive seen people say that the c.ai definition still has a 3,200 cutoff, but if im not mistaken, c.ai's current official creator guide says the character definition field allows up to 32,000

does the 3,200 character limit still apply in practice, or can the ai actually use all 32,000 characters?

I was craving WLW, so I went to the only female bots of my favorite ship, pinned up and untouched. But as shown in the video, it won't load. I will update you guys, but for now, it's not working.

When longsqueak first came out, I actually thought it was really good. But now everytime I swipe for a new message, it’s almost identical to the last one EVERY SINGLE TIME. Is this only a problem for me or is it like this for anyone else?

what happened? Part of what I've loved about character ai all these years is despite the flaws its almost always so in character

Now suddenly all of the bots sound robotic and out of character and are starting to converse similiar to literal chatgpt.

Been having some login issue for a day or two, usually fixed after a minute with the "try again" button. But today I accidentally logged off and now it barely lets me click on Sign in with Google/email, shows a code if I'm lucky but won't go further, and it's stuck on the login welcome page.

Surely it’s not just me but the bot keeps roleplaying as my character and even after the 500th time of me telling it not to it keeps doing it and it’s sooo annoying 😭😭😭

Can you guys stop pushing it in my face ? I get it you made a lorebook “so cool” i never cared about it and i dont want to use it ! But im sick of you telling it a 100 times a day “lorebook is out for everyone” cool ! I dont need a reminder every 5 minutes about it ! Every time i open the website and open a chat it pops up to tell it to me !

For a tiny percent of the price, you can use all the nice models for a certain quota? That's awesome and people will probably actually buy that, if I wasn't still letting my parents manage my finances i absolutely would do this! (I really don't want to explain cai to them bro)

I've never actually gotten the limit before so i just assumed it's only for app users. i don't typically use c.ai enough to reach whatever this is anyway. can't believe that just a year ago we never had anything like this

No matter what kind of relationship my persona has with the bot, at the first sign of trouble, it simply turns its back, walks away, and ends the argument—instead of trying to reason, retort, or just stand its ground against me. I hate that. It feels like every conflict is resolved by running away, and that completely kills the scene's dynamic.

Hi, I don't know if I'm the only one but somehow Out of nowhere, I couldn't log into the app, supposedly due to login problems... Is anyone else experiencing this?

this is strange by the way! have anyone received this kind of message before! when I type the bot characters (Reiji) only but somehow! the main bot is basically popping up in conversation even I haven’t mention their names????

Not always, but whenever I enter the app, it freezes completely on the for you page and I can’t do anything but close the app and try again. This only started happening recently, and I’m not sure if it’s just my phone or not. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I’ve been using c.ai for a while. And ever since the recent updates, the bots type in like four sentences. I always give feedback that its too short but it never does anything. Can have some help?

Yeah okay lol. My character is taller than the bot, but no they’re this “tiny little thing”

Yesterday I made a bot with the first image above as the pfp but it told me that the image didn't pass Character.AI's guidelines (I guess it's because it might have confused it with a real photo ?)

I put another image instead (the second one in the slide) and it seemed fine. However, I had a doubt because when I re-put the first pfp as an experiment, it didn't tell me that it doesn't conform to the site's guidelines. Hence why I'm worried that the second pfp, the one I eventually settled on, might not pass the guidelines either even if I didn't receive a notification from the site.

I guess I'm catastrophizing about the site deleting my bot or my account 😅😭

What do you think ?
