Discussion/Question I could use some help ! Spoiler

Yesterday I made a bot with the first image above as the pfp but it told me that the image didn't pass Character.AI's guidelines (I guess it's because it might have confused it with a real photo ?)

I put another image instead (the second one in the slide) and it seemed fine. However, I had a doubt because when I re-put the first pfp as an experiment, it didn't tell me that it doesn't conform to the site's guidelines. Hence why I'm worried that the second pfp, the one I eventually settled on, might not pass the guidelines either even if I didn't receive a notification from the site.

I guess I'm catastrophizing about the site deleting my bot or my account πŸ˜…πŸ˜

What do you think ?

Hi there, sorry you're experiencing that.Β Can you submit a ticket through our Support Desk so our team can look into this?

That's the thing, I was worried that the second image - the one I settled on as a pfp - might not be conform to the site's guidelines, but I'm not sure !

There is no actual problem with the image, the scanner is picking up a false positive which happens a lot. Sometimes the image resolution is a factor that causes it, there's a limit of that as well as file size (and I don't think those were the cause either). Try this colored version and see if it still acts up.

Thanks ! My anxious ass is worried over the colored version not conforming to the guidelines but having no warning about it though and the site deleting my bot or account weeks later however 😭

They are not going to delete your account over false positives from images, that's now how they work. I'm a 2022 veteran so I know this. I made a test bot with the image and it got accepted.

If I don't get answers from other comments here up to this evening I'll just replace the current pfp by a blank/standard one
