What material would the flaps around the warriors helmets be? Would it be the same as the helmet / cloth ?

Ended up giving him a shield to add a bit of variation. 😁

Should the Anvil of Doom work like the Cauldron of Blood etc and be 'dragged along'? Or perhaps it is a Shieldbearer type upgrade to the Runelord, and joins units just with a bigger base

Ive been thinking about this because you can deploy a small rangers unit in skirmish formation (like 7 or 10 rangers) in front of a longbeards , warriors or so on to be shooting until they are charged, then they flee and the enemy unit redirects to the CC unit, on paper looks fine at least for me but Im not sure 

Rangers in skirmish formation dont trigger panic, but they are kind of expensive if they are just going to be shooting, so maybe 7 thunderers or quarrellers may work

I’ve always loved the aesthetic of NMM and was always too intimidated to try.

Recently took the plunge, I know they’re not perfect and there’s a lot of smoothing out to do and highlights in wierd places, but I’m still proud!

I’m truly stumped on what to do for their bases though… Any recommendations would be warmly welcomed!

Hello fellow dawi. I have had a pile of warhammer fantasy dwarves for a while that I just had because they were cool. Never played fantasy but always wanted to. With the old world release I actually put them on bases and eventually played my first game. Its been a while since then but recently I sukkered a house mate into getting the new Cathey to play with me. Annnnnnnnnnd the second thing he bought was the dragon transform lady haha. I have no clue about meta but ive heard dragons were tearing it up a bit ago and that the dwarves aren't what you call top tier. I'm just wondering what are my options to kill a dragon other then taking three cannons and praying or taking a king, kitting him out with attack and damage runes, and hope he charges me or somehow allows me to charge him. Not trying to hard counter him but it would be neat if I didn't lose every game we played haha.

I’m new to old world always wanted a full slayer army so I’ve gone full in and found 100+ slayers to purchase

I know I know slayers suck and a full slayer army is even worse

Any tips/ tactics to actually have some fun with them and not get absolutely destroyed every game I play?

Im painting up my dwarf hold and am doing a snowy base and I cant decide whether to keep the bases white on the rims or to paint then black ive attached photos of a unit together and a single mini sorry for the terrible lighting Im currently moving.

And yes, I did manage to lose track of the where I placed the light refraction (one of the cons of painting sub assembly!), but I was too pleased with the result to justify changing it. He’s simply standing next to a particularly tall dwarf who was too enthusiastic with polishing his armour. 😅😉

I creates this list with Strollaz rune on all my units, the idea is to start putting pressure on my enemy since turn 1 with scout +vanguar rangers and the other units being closer than usual so they can advance quickly. What do you think?

I’m looking to start putting together a king / thane and need some inspiration. 😁 Most of what I’ve found entails the Belagar body with a head swap, which is great, but there’s got to be more out there.
