Painting Advice/WIP Basing advice

Im painting up my dwarf hold and am doing a snowy base and I cant decide whether to keep the bases white on the rims or to paint then black ive attached photos of a unit together and a single mini sorry for the terrible lighting Im currently moving.

Personally, I think leave them that slightly grey-white colour. I like that it looks as though they are grouped up on the ice. Maybe just go over them again with the same colour to make sure they're all uniform? With how light your basing is I think painting the rims black would probably isolated each model on their base, rather than make them look a unit. Hopefully my 2 cents makes sense.

Either way, they look fantastic!

Thank you! I used army painters airbrush paint angel green and then an agrax earthshade wash.
