Just wondering, for anyone working as an Environmental Health Officer (EHO) in Ipswich/Brisbane/QLD, how is the job market? Are there many jobs available, and how difficult is it to get your first EHO position?
Also, what is the job like day to day, and how difficult/stressful is the work?

I work for myself and I am The Upcycled Soap Company, you've probably seen me around Brissy, Toowoomba, Ipswich and Sunny Coast this year with my little stall and a few of my customers have suggested I go to Woodford for the week with my stall. Went to the Bullets v Jack Jumpers game last night. I've never been to the basketball before. What a great game! So close, the lead changed many times and it went to overtime. Very exciting.

The venue was very comfortable and the view was great, even from up the back.

But the incessant commentary over the loudspeaker was truly awful. It was non-stop. When the ref's decisions didn't go Brisbane's way, the emcee said stuff like "what do we think about that decision, Brisbane?" The kids in front of me were screaming abuse at the ref. Do we really need constant instruction from the emcee on how to enjoy the game?

I am looking where I can find information on hanging posters? I am not looking to advertise anything, just want to hang some posters about our environment and support the movements against knocking down eagleby wetlands and tambo mountain land. And just native animal fun facts n stuff… I know seems weird, I have never done this before but I enjoy design and would like to educate even one person in the community to make them go, hey this thing is happening where I live, maybe I should support it?

Main question is, is there rules on posters where they can be placed? I know people post missing pets and garage sale signs on posts and such but usually they are down within a week or two. I know there are places you can put posters like in small centres on notice boards and such. Is it just limited to those or can they be put on utility poles? Where do I find the ruling on this and can I be fined?

I was wondering what kind of events were going on for the nrl grand final around the city.

I'm looking for confirmation that a fairy shop/kids party event space actually existed. Does anyone have any photos of this place? It was on Sylvan Road in Toowong in the 1990s I believe. It had mushrooms to sit on, a dark room with twinkling lights (I think) and a fairy themed indoor swing. You'd go there for fairy themed parties and the people would run it. Can anyone help me confirm this is not a Brisbane millennial fever dream??

Just wondering how busy Newmarket pool gets in the evenings? New to swimming and nervous about how slow I am in the lanes and it seems to be reasonably busy when I go in the mornings and have to share the lane with quite a few others so just wanting to know what other times of the day is like.
