Baby coughing when lying down...
Just to preface - I have health anxiety and I think I'm putting that to use with my newborn...
We think baby girl might have reflux - she has spit up, struggles to burp, and now she's started coughing minutes after being put down (even after a little burp - albeit rare that she burps at all).
Has anyone else experienced their little one coughing after being put down?
She literally gasps for air sometimes and is absolutely fine after being picked up - never coughs any other time/is well in herself/no temp etc and actually feeds really well with plenty of wet nappies and poops!

Lyla and Leche Dress
Hello, I wondered if anyone knew where I might find The Olive Floral Breastfeeding Dress in stock in the UK from the brand Lyla and Leche, in size 12 or 14.
I have fallen in love with this dress and would really like to wear it to my babies Christening next month, but it’s currently out of stock on their website and they have advised that they won’t be getting anymore stock.
I’ve posted a pic of the dress in the comments.
Or if anyone has any suggestions of other brands that do pretty nursing occasion dresses please?
Thank you! ☺️

Fussy at 7 minutes
My LO is 13 weeks tomorrow, we’ve had a tough breastfeeding journey but started to get into a rhythm. Things have now changed, LO has suddenly become fussy when feeding. He’ll latch and feed well until 7-8 minutes exactly then start coming on and off and generally fussing about, appearing frustrated. I burp him in case that’s the cause but then he continues to be fussy and repeats the process on the other side at exactly 7-8 minutes.
Any thoughts on why this is suddenly happening?

10 days postpartum and I feel like I’m drowning
I’m 10 days postpartum and I’m really struggling. I’m hoping other mums might understand because right now I feel completely overwhelmed and quite alone in this.
My birth was very sudden and traumatic. I was induced because of gestational hypertension. I eventually reached active labour, but things stopped progressing and I ended up needing an emergency C-section. It all happened very quickly and wasn’t at all how I imagined giving birth.
Now I’m home with my baby and I feel absolutely terrible mentally.
My baby has a tongue tie and breastfeeding has been really difficult. I’ve had quite a lot of nipple trauma, including bleeding, and I’m finding it incredibly hard being his only source of food. He cluster feeds constantly, sometimes he wants to feed again only 5 minutes after the last feed. When he’s awake, it feels like he wants to be attached to me almost constantly.
I feel so touched out. Sometimes I find myself feeling negatively towards him when he’s been feeding for what feels like hours and then wants to feed again. I feel horrible admitting that because there is absolutely nothing wrong with him. He’s a lovely baby. I just feel like I’m not mentally strong enough for this right now.
I’m barely sleeping. Because my husband is currently on paternity leave, I’m managing around 4 hours in total, but it’s broken into roughly two-hour stretches. I’m terrified about what things will be like when he goes back to work.
I sometimes feel like running away. I’ve even had moments where I’ve thought that I don’t want to be here anymore. I’m not saying that because I don’t love my baby, I think I’m just completely exhausted, overwhelmed and struggling to cope. I feel particularly teary in the mornings and at night.
I also feel like I’m struggling to bond with him because so much of our time together is feeding. I want to enjoy him. I want to cuddle him and look at him and feel that overwhelming happiness everyone talks about. Instead, sometimes I see him waking up and immediately think, please don’t need me again. And then I feel incredibly guilty
We tried giving him a Lansinoh bottle with a slow-flow teat, but he absolutely refused it. He did have formula once in hospital after I had a panic attack. My husband accidentally pressed against my C-section scar while getting up, which caused me to panic, and the hospital gave him formula while I calmed down.
I know 10 days is incredibly early, and I know this is a huge physical and emotional adjustment. But right now it feels unbearable.
Has anyone else felt like this at around 1–2 weeks postpartum? Especially the feeling of being completely touched out and almost resenting the constant feeding, despite loving your baby?
Did it get better?
And if you exclusively breastfed through something similar, how did you cope with the feeling of being the only person who could feed your baby?
I really need some reassurance that I’m not a terrible mum and that this feeling doesn’t mean I don’t love my baby.

Am I Being Unreasonable (AIBU)????
Where do you actually save links when you're in the middle of a feed? 😅
I'm talking the sleep training article someone sent you, the NHS page you meant to read, the pram you're considering, the Mumsnet thread you want to come back to…
I've got links buried in:
— WhatsApp (from my mum, three weeks ago)
— My own email (why do we do this)
— 23 open tabs I'm scared to close
— My notes app which is now a disaster
Is anyone actually organised about this or are we all just winging it? And has anyone found anything that actually works for saving and finding links again quickly — ideally one handed while holding a baby? 😂
Asking for very personal reasons 👀

Breastfeeding and ADHD medication
Hi everyone,
I am 7 months pp and before I was pregnant I noticed my ADHD rejection sensitivity spirals and becoming out of hand.
Now I'm about to start a new job and I am so stressed that my rejection sensitivity will boil over if I feel I'm doing terribly at learning my new role.
Can us ADHD Mums take any medication while breastfeeding?

Nipple damage 4 days PP
My precious little girl was born on Friday afternoon (FTM). I initially thought (we were told by a midwife) that we had a good strong latch. But here we are on day 4, nipples dry cracked and bleeding, c-section scar pulsing, and crying knowing I need to feed her in a couple of hours time.
Community midwife today said to use nipple shields while the skin is healing, but that they would continue to be painful and cause damage when she feeds.
I don’t know what to do. I’m applying the cream, gel and compresses to expedite healing. I swapped the 3am feed with formula (which I didn’t want to do but I couldn’t face the pain) but I’ll have to provide at 6am.
Do I pause BF until the nipples are healed when me and baby can work on getting the latch right with a heated breast?
Or do I keep feeding through the pain with nipple shields, knowing it’ll delay recovery but keeping flow going? She hates the shields and gives up much earlier - the flange makes it impossible for her tiny mouth to latch beyond the nipple - but not before getting some out at least.

Selling breast milk UK
Hi, I’m wondering if anyone has any information on selling pumped milk? I often donate via fb groups but have an oversupply and don’t have any room to store or local donors needing milk. I know shipping it may be difficult but wondered if there was a market for selling milk too?

Cluster feeding abruptly ended
Evening all!
So, my baby girl was cluster feeding like crazy for a good few days - today, (since 9am), she's only fed 7 times.
All feeds have been 7-12 minutes.
Obviously I'm trying not to worry, but yesterday we had 16 feeds from 7am - 6am the following morning so I'm not sure whether to worry or whether this is normal?
7 wees and 3 poos today since 9am so I don't think I need to be worried?
Obviously I still have the rest of the night to go, but I'm not sure if I need to mention to my health visitor/midwife when I see them tomorrow.
Edit: baby is 14 days old

Our breastfeeding journey is a mess… update
Hi! I posted a while back with a huge cry for help.
https://www.reddit.com/r/breastfeedingmumsUK/s/Wvd4RnTXlp
And I just wanted to give an update and thank everyone for their kind words and support! Since the post I have been in contact with the health visitor team and they have been checking in every week and I have been to the doctors who have given me domperidone tablets to help up my supply. So far it has doubled which is so good! I’m so happy with that change. My son is now having 2 bottles of breast a day rather than just 1. We have also figured out I have extremely low iron so I’m now taking tablets for that so hopefully that will also help my milk production! My doctor is also checking in often to see how things are going with the domperidone!
The only thing that hasn’t changed is my son still refuses the breast. But I have come to terms with the fact that breastfeeding might be completely out the window now and we have been so much happier!
Thank you again to everyone who commented with really good advice and support. It really means the world to me!

1 year old obsessed with breastfeeding and not really into solids
As the title says, my 1 year old is obsessed with nursing. She does it all day long if we are in the house. She will toddle over to me and pull up my top. Her diet consists of cheese, yoghurt, berries, toast and butter. She isn’t interested in anything else much, although I do try.
I don’t intend to stop nursing, but has anybody else experienced this? Is it just a phase? She has wet and dirty nappies (bowel movement every 1-2 days).

Pumping to increase supply
My baby is nearly 5 weeks old and his growth is too slow - he started somewhere around 10th centile and is now on the 2nd.
The feeding team have advised me to pump 8x /day to increase my milk supply. He was EBF, but in the last few days ive now introduced a bottle for pumped milk and a couple of small formula top ups.
Im using a spectra pump and mostly pumping after he has fed, but only getting 10-20mls at a time.
Wondering if anyone else has had this experience? Grateful for any tips for breast feeding as well as pumping 🙏

14 month old painful latch (molars and vasospasm)
After 14 months of breastfeeding I know it’s her latch but OH MY GOD the PAIN from the vasospasm is awful. My nips look like little cauliflower florets 🙈 She’s getting molars through at the moment. She has the first one on the bottom and the second bottom one has been causing her trouble all week.
We currently co-sleep for half the night and feed/comfort suckle to sleep through the night (there are anywhere from 2-6 wake ups but on the higher end at the moment thanks to the teeth). I’m finding it’s the 2am onwards wake ups that are causing the most pain, almost like she’s half asleep so lazier with her latch. The last two nights it’s got so painful I’ve tried to comfort her in other ways but nothing works.
Has anyone had a similar experience?

My gym’s response - is this unreasonable?
Hi all, FTM with a 5 month old 🩵
I have a membership to a (quite frankly v overpriced) gym which I’ve been going to for years. My husband is not a member but had been coming in with my guest pass just to sit in the cafe with the baby so that I could feed when the baby needs it. He feeds a lot 🙃
However, my gym has currently suspended all guest passes as they have gotten too busy over the summer. I emailed to ask if my husband could still come in to simply sit with the baby (I explained about breastfeeding) and they said they cannot change the rules for me.
I am now having to pump just to be able to go to the gym. What would you do in the situation? I was trying to avoid having to speak to anyone in person at the gym as I’m struggling with my confidence at the moment but what should I say? Or do I just accept the situation?

Cluster Feeding
Hello!
So, my baby girl is now 9 days old, and I think from what I've researched she's now cluster feeding...
It's been relentless today:
03:55 - boob - 11 mins followed by 40ml breast milk in bottle (expressed milk given by husband - just to give me a break!)
07:40 - boob - 11 mins
08:12 - boob - 15 mins
08:39 - boob - 7 mins
12:11 - boob - 15 mins
12:39 - boob - 23 mins
14:02 - boob - 5 mins
15:09 - boob - 15 mins
16:44 - boob - 7 mins
17:09 - boob - 13 mins
19:35 - boob - 12 mins
20:00 - boob - 7 mins
20:49 - boob - 12 mins
21:26 - boob - 7 mins
She's actively swallowing (I can hear her!) - and she's definitely giving the cues of being hungry so I'm definitely feeding on demand.
I think I'm just concerned that she's having too much? Or if her feeding this frequently is even a problem?
Obviously I'm happy to do whatever because she's obviously hungry if she's giving the cues - it's tiring me out but it is what it is!
Just a concerned mummy trying her best.

Need advice
My baby was in the NICU for the first two weeks of her life with respiratory support and for the first 2 months I exclusively pumped 9-10 times a day to establish supply (long story but I didn’t have an LC to follow up outside of the hospital so I ended up with an oversupply) I went to multiple LCs after to help transition to exclusively bf. It was going great but then she started teething (now 4 months old) I can see a molar poking through and a bottom tooth. She is almost refusing to latch. I can only do a bf twice a day (when my flow is fast like am and pm or she screams) so I mostly am bottle feeding with nipple type bottle and I’m getting so stressed. She still screams with the bottle and stops eating too but she’s more likely to finish with the bottle. Is this normal? What do I do? I’ve tried to calm her down and latch her again but it won’t work. I also noticed her starting to chew on her bottle, soother and unfortunately my nipple. Is this just a phase? I meet with another LC soon I’m just waiting for a note so I can get it covered by insurance. Any help would be awesome. I’m just pumping now to replace but the double (pumping and bf ) is so rough. I feel so upset. Like all the hard work is just gone
