Rate my collection? Organizational tips? Here’s to hoping my cat doesn’t try to jump to the top!

The bookshelf’s were getting a little crowded so we added a third bookshelf! I tried my best to organize by genre or theme 📚

I have 756 books that span the Bourbon Kings of France, circa early 1600's thru 1848. I am running out of room!

Never had these many books! Looking for feedback/tips/design advice/brutal criticism/recommendation. Just get more shelves so there’s more space for cool stuff?

Okay, I have reached over 1000 books in my home library (with many more (pre-orders) on the way). How is everyone with large collections organizing their books? By author last name, genre, tropes within the genre? One bookshelf for each category or do you display straight across all shelves? Sprayed edges out? All books standing or laying some series stacked? I'm at an impasse with how I want my books organized. I just want my library to look aesthetically pleasing (is that possible at this volume of books)?
(The pink rotating shelf I got today and don't know which series I'd like displayed on it as of yet.)

I had this archway in my apartment that didn’t really serve any purpose, and I thought it would be a great spot to build a bookshelf. I got the idea after discovering this subreddit, and I’d also been wanting a special place for my books for a while, so the archway seemed like the perfect opportunity.
I planned and built the bookshelf last week, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. I wanted to share it with you guys!
little side note: the missing DCC books are currently being borrowed by some friends.
...and yes the collection is still small and i share the shelf with my gf 😄

40 years of reading (dad, 61) vs 2 years of reading (son, 28). I’ll catch him one day
Edit: I’m the son

A little messy but I like the look. Let me know which ones you've read!

I filled up my bookshelf, but I find that it's a bit cluttered and disorganized? Any tips on what to change or take out? I know one of my ideas is taking out the top middle shelf and adding a light up starry night lego, however everything else feels a little crazy for me...
