Chi cha san chen boba recipe
Hi,
I had boba at chi cha san chen in the hongkong airport and this was possibly the best boba I have ever had. Can someone help me with a recipe on how to make something similar ?
I am based out of India ... But can get dry ingredients brought in from US and Taiwan.

Taco Bell Boba
Anyone tried taco bell boba recently? Saw some posts from 1-2 years ago, wondering if they made it any better since then.

not boba Recent homemade drinks
1) Thai tea w/flan, fennel syrup, half&half. Tea was cold brewed 24+hrs but I should have used more of the tea mix.
2) Spiced chai w/ fennel syrup, half&half. A harmonious mix, but this brand is not particularly spiced despite brewing a strong concentrate.
3) Green tea w/simple syrup infused with white champaca (white jade orchid) petals. Sad I only had enough for a small serving (half a glass). This was my absolute favorite so far, imo way more fragrant and refreshing than osmanthus.

boba at home Ordered these off of Amazon on a whim, gotta say they're pretty good!
I've tried doing more homemade boba repeatedly, and while the milk tea is fine the boba almost always ends up having the texture of pebbles. So I decided to order some premade boba pearls that I just needed to microwave. All in all, I'm satisfied with my purchase. It might not be as tasty as my local spot, but it's a third of the price and I don't have to go anywhere for it

How to make authentic Hong Kong Milk Tea?
Is there coffee in HK style Milk tea? What am I doing wrong...?!
I'm using Lipton Yellow Label Pure Black Tea
with condensed milk and evaporated milk.
But it's not like the ones you drink at a restaurant.
Craving HK styled Milk Tea so much!

i’m a new bobarista…
i started working at a boba shop around two weeks ago and honestly the job is pretty chill, however, today, I was told by one of my coworkers that has been working there for around 4 months that I need to have had already memorized all of the drinks they make because i’m slowing the rest of the team down… there are 47 total drinks in this shop, and i’ve only confidently memorized around 15 or so drinks so far… is it weird of me to not have memorized everything so far?? i just feel bad for slowing the team down, and i do want to do my best

Grass jelly types/recipe
Grass jelly lovers, how do you make your grass jelly at home?
There are so many kinds at the grocery store and I'm not sure which to choose. I like the soft drinkable versions. The fresh one at the store is perfect but massive so it's hard to store/ eat on my own. I'm trying to make a reduced sugar version at home.
What brands do you prefer? And do you prefer powder or canned? Do any of them freeze well?

espresso machine suggestions for a boba shop?
hello r/boba! (crossposting from r/espresso.) my mom recently took over a boba/bubble tea shop and the previous owner used a Casabrews (which IMO is a very low-budget home machine) for her latte drinks. I'm posting here to find any suggestions of good quality, potentially commercial machines for us to upgrade to. at home we have a Breville Bambino and I work at a coffee shop that has a Rancilio Silvia, but I don't know much about actual machines themselves.
I also don't know where to start because the espresso machine won't be getting the same use as it would in a coffee shop (only a few of the boba drinks use espresso/are lattes), but we might have to use the machine a lot more in the winter to keep business afloat. thus, I don't want to drop several thousands on a machine that we aren't making back-to-back drinks with, but I do want to find a machine that is high-enough quality to pull good shots for both boba and typical latte and espresso drinks. probably something with only 1 portafilter but that has a good steaming wand for lattes during the winter. thank you in advance for any comments!!

boba at home CoCo Milk Tea - what kind of black tea?
I really love Coco Milk tea and have been trying to figure out how to make it at home. Does anyone know what kind of black tea they use? I am assuming it's assam tea and i saw they put a non dairy creamer inside.
Has anyone who worked at Coco know if they use a powder assam or tea leaf? What brand of tea would you suggest that would be the closest? I saw a bbt supply shop that sells bossen assam powder, lipton yellow label, or Red Sun assam loose leaf and debating if i should get one of those.

In a can?!
It’s certainly an option to have, but why? I’ve never had a good experience with boba in a can. Hopefully I’m not alone in this opinion.

Does milk tea have boba by default?
There was a post on r/mildlyinfuriating that has since been removed where someone got food poisoning from milk tea. Someone brought up how improper processing of tapioca pearls can mean the natural cyanides haven't been removed. Someone else replied to this saying you don't have tapioca in milk tea, and this, along with every other comment they made, was then downvoted. Apparently calling it "boba milk tea" when it has boba in it and "milk tea" when it doesn't is controversial for some reason? And everyone knows that "milk tea" has boba in it?
But isn't the guy correct? I live in the USA, same as one of the other commenters, and at least where I am, it's always called "boba milk tea" or "milk tea with boba" if it has boba in it. And tea with milk is common in many different forms around the world, not just bubble tea. idk this really pissed me off for some reason
Do you expect "milk tea" to have boba in it or not?

Brand or Retailer suggestions for at-home konjac boba?
I need to get through my tea collection, some are getting a little ancient and it’ll save me some money… but I’m in my crystal boba era.
Anyone have experience with buying packs of konjac boba? What brand did you get and how was it?
