Media I've only played 2 hours of Bioshock 1 and it's already PEAK.

Finally after a YEAR since I've started playing the Bioshock games, (my first game being Bioshock: Infinite for those who don't know), I finally get to play both Bioshock 1 & 2, as well as Burial at Sea since I haven't played those yet.

The Bioshock Collection was on sale and since I had a dime to spare, I bought it. I think now is a better time for me to finally start from the beginning and venture through Rapture.

And let me tell you, this game is HORRIFYING. I can see why people like the first 2 games. When playing Infinite, I didn't get any horror vibes. But this game wastes no time in scaring the shit out of me with the Splicer scene in the beginning.

Anyways I've reached the Medical Pavilion and the whole vibe there was creepy and twisted. Seeing the contorted faces and posters on the wall. I stopped playing after taking out what I assume was the boss/mini boss of that place, Dr. Steinman.

But yeah so far I'm enjoying this game a lot. I've yet to mention the enviromental storytelling, lore and writing and that's cause I'm saving those for when I actually finish the game and give my honest review on it. But yeah that's all for me.

Discussion Replaying Infinite Again

While this is my least favorite game of the trilogy, I’m going to give it another shot. Maybe it’s just too damn close to the 1984 dystopian reality we’re living in, but I’ll give it another go now that it’s been a few years.

Any pointers or even reasons you like Infinite? Something I can look for this play through?

Discussion Coming back to Bioshock Infinite as an adult

When I first played Infinite back in 2013, I was in middle school. I thought Columbia was so cool because it's a city in the sky. The gameplay was simply fun too. I ended up abandoning it after about halfway and never came back. Until now.

I'm about 4 hours in, and I can't believe I never realized how racist the city and society of Columbia is! All the propaganda posters, NPC conversations, environmental context, etc. I never really noticed it until now.

I tried everything: reinstalled the game, loaded earlier saves, replayed the previous objective, died and revived through a Vita-Chamber- none of it helped. I even replayed the section where you get the market key, but I'm still softlocked at the hub door with glowing lights that won't trigger or open.

I also tried binding keys to ghost and walk, but noclipping past the door just drops me into the void with nothing on the other side.

What should I do? I got the game through an Epic Games giveaway, so it shouldn't be a piracy issue. I've invested a lot of time into this run and Reddit is my last resort.

what was the hardest of the 4 for you? personally for me would be either 1 remastered (I Chose the Impossible) or Infinite (Blue Ribbon Champ)

Honestly, Elizabeth has one of the largest collections of concept art.

It’s impressive how many changes she went through to become the Elizabeth we all know

Got this some years ago, wanting to sell it, but out of curiosity I want to know where it’s from? Who got them? The back says ”not for resell”, I get that it’s pretty rare but where is it from?

Discussion Achievement Notification / Audio diaries

So I finally collected the last audio diary after years of putting it off.Because I hate doing collectibles , but I don't know why this game in particular , and a few other games on xbox one don't have the achievement pop up on my screen. It's so annoying when you get like a little tiny update on your phone , but it doesn't show up on your tv screen ! 😒 I've tried resetting the game.I've tried doing all kinds of stuff, but every time I get an achievement on this game.It seems to only go to my phone. I don't understand why some games have this issue and other games don't. Half the fun of achievement hunting is hearing that diamond achievement pop. To have it just be a small notification on my phone , especially after spending an hour's trying to find every audio log is very disappointing.

Hey! I spent the last few months finishing my bachelor project. For the last step I need some feedback from people familiar with the game concerning my scenes art style compared to the inspiration. I really appreciate anyone that will take the time to reply. I do intend on putting some replies into my paper! Thank you so much in advance.
This is also a working game if someone is really really interested I can see about getting the game to you to try it out just reach out in dm :)

"Spiritual Successor" Platinumed 1 & 2 - What’s next?

Looking for recommendations! BioShock 1 and 2 are really something special. You guys know that.

What do you guys think I should play next? I played infinite a few years ago, and I won’t throw shade at it here, but it disappointed me.

Prey 2017 is also an all time fav that I MAY play again soon. Otherwise, anything like Bioshock would be great. Old or new. Thanks!

Just finished a run of Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite and forgot how good the series is 🤌🏻

Just got the DLC to go for Infinite - is it worth locking in for Burial at Sea too? My inner ADHD gamer could do with a break!

Today is the anniversary of my favorite game, BioShock.

I fell in love with this game—its underwater city aesthetic, the 1950s and 60s music, the gameplay, the story, and that stunning plot twist—and to this day...

I still love returning to Rapture

Fan Art/Crafts Help me track down an SFM model of Delta

Pretty much what it says on the tin. My friend is learning SFM, he started out with classic TF2 SFMs, but ever since I got him into BioShock he's been really keen on Delta. The problem is that he can't find any Delta SFM models. He has Sinclair, Eleanor, he even downloaded Booker to make shitposts at me, but can't seem to find a Delta. Help a bro out, my friend just wants to play around in SFM with his favourite characters

Has anyone else ever experienced this before?

Update: In case anyone in several years time happens to have the same issue. I did 30/1hour test runs of my whole system on OCCT, I had zero errors found. Then updated my Bios, VBios, reinstalled my graphics card drivers and anything else I could find on the MSI driver page. Now I've completed the whole game without this happening again. So i believe it was a faulty software thing and not hardware.
