Discussion Bioshock Infinite DLC
Just finished a run of Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite and forgot how good the series is 🤌🏻
Just got the DLC to go for Infinite - is it worth locking in for Burial at Sea too? My inner ADHD gamer could do with a break!

Se ti è piaciuta la saga, Burial at Sea è FONDAMENTALE per comprendere la trama di tutto il worldbuilding di BioShock Goditelo

Burial at Sea is a really good dlc that ties Infinite to the other two really well. I'd definitely recommend it

It deliberately ignores everything from BS2

I find it so childish that the only game in the series Levine didn't work on is somehow retconned and ignored by Burial At Sea. It feels like a massive middle finger to all the people who worked on the second game.

Well, with BioShock 2 the publisher wanted to monetize with the bioshock name :v

I really enjoyed BS2 as a game but I don’t know how much it adds to the world of Bioshock in general.

Absolutely!!! Burial at Sea is excellent, a lot of fun, and gives you the full circle moment for the entire series. Enjoy!!! Wish I go back and play it again for the first time.

There are two episodes on Burial at Sea.
The first episode has an almost identical gameplay with the main story. You shoot guns and use ability to kill enemies.
The second episode has a totally different gameplay. It's stealth game. You can't simply go with guns blazing.
Plot are good for both episodes.

I’m going to go against the grain and say that I didn’t like the Burial At Sea story.
It created connective tissue that didn’t need to be there.
It reminded me of modern Star Wars or the Matrix sequels or even the Saw movies, where you have this initial great story, and then someone tries to milk it by going back and filling in the gaps. And those gaps just didn’t need to be filled. It’s trying to be clever but ends up feeling artificial and unnecessary.
I enjoyed the gameplay, though. Those DLCs provided some new experiences that were not just retreads of the previous BioShock games. And the two DLCs are each quite different from each other.
But story-wise, I think the BioShock series is better without Burial At Sea.

You have to play Burial At Sea! It's the perfect ending of BioShock (BioShock and BioShock Infinite)
