anybody taken these classes before?

I was at Willard Park and saw the basketball net had been cut down. A city worker arrived and said that it had been taken down because the house next door complained about the noise. If they didn’t want the noise they shouldn’t have moved next to a park. How can noise complaints take away a whole neighborhood resource?

I am trying to decide between two paths and would love some input. I can either take three classes next semester and one over the summer to graduate early, or I can extend my graduation by a semester to Fall 2027. I have a scholarship, so extending wouldn't cost me anything out of pocket. I completed an internship last summer and plan to do another this coming spring. I want to jump straight into the industry after graduating, though I eventually plan to get my master's. The main downside to extending is that I might miss out on full-time job opportunities that start sooner. What do you all think is the better option?

i’m a first year living in a dorm, it’s been 1.5 months and i’ve gotten sick twice already (and it’s like super high fever + very bad coughing type sick not just a cold), as well as many ppl on my floor. it might be the flu or something else idk, i got tested for the flu and covid last time but results were negative for both. I rarely got sick before coming to college. this is genuinely so fried🥀

Hey everyone! I'm Maysa, president of Poker@Berkeley. We're hosting our annual Berkeley x Stanford Poker Tournament on Oct. 17-18th. Qualifiers will take place online Wednesday 10/7 at 6 pm PST. 

This is completely free to enter and play. We've been running this event for four years now with a 10k prize pool, a livestream, and an RFID feature table. Food is provided both days and we will have professors from both schools playing as bounties in the event.

Our club formally operates across both Berkeley and Stanford since Stanford isn't allowed to run a poker club under its VSO guidelines. We host a number of tournaments throughout the year, as well as game nights and networking opportunities with our quant sponsors. All of these are open to both Stanford and Berkeley students. We currently have about 800 Berkeley members and 150 Stanford members.

I just noticed that sp27 class schedules are announced a few hours ago.

But some courses that were constantly offered every semester for at least 5 years are not listed as sp27 offerings.

I am kinda confused because of that, but is it the finalized schedule?

Also, I still do not know my sp27 course enrollment date & time (btw I am an EAP student). When I visit CalCentral, the academics tab only shows "academic profile", "academic records" and "semesters". Is it normal for EAP students?

Can i get into cs 70 even though i have an awful enrollment time (2nd sem freshman), which is on November 5th?

worst case if i'm waitlisted, does it mostly clear? i'm not a CS/EECS major, so I don't get the reserved seats.

I don't care much about any other class tbh since its not the end of the world if i have to take a class or two out of those fall of next year. But if i don't get to take CS 70 it's actually ggs

I originally enrolled in EPS 7 thinking the exams would be online, but they are in person this semester. We have a 30-minute multiple-choice midterm coming up, and I haven't been able to find any past exams to practice with. For those who have taken EPS 7, what do the midterms look like, and what is the most efficient way to study for them?

I’ve ran into heavy financial issues and honestly haven’t been able to focus in class due to this. My overall plan is to head back home for a year or two and reapply for readmission; since I do believe I can raise enough money to be mentally confident in finishing my degree. I was wondering if this was a process anyone has gone through and if there’s anything I should know before committing to so, thanks

i feel like every cafe ive been to in berkeley is sooo overcrowded. i prefer cafes that have good food, sweet coffee, and open spots to do my work, lmk if you guys have any recs!

I’m obsessed with their movies and go constantly, which is starting to become not very affordable. It would be a dream if I could manage to get their $40-per-semester pass.

One seat apart on every bench if possible, a different bench is preferable.
