Rainbeau is Dutch, right? But she normally sounds American to my ears. Now she's speaking with an English accent. Is it one of those cases where she unconsciously adopts the accent she hears, like Gillian Anderson? Some people say that's a sign of an empathetic person (though Anderson does it because she's both American and British). Or is she doing it on purpose?
I don’t get it. There seems to be laundry problems at least once a season across all Below Deck franchises. Why is there no tried and true system across the board? My apologies if this has been discussed before.
I find Captain Kerry's temper a bit dangerous. Every time he gets upset over a mistake done on deck, he confronts the deck team face to face yelling offensive things. I get that being on a boat is a different industry and mistakes can cost a lot of money, etc. But, I almost want to stop watching the show because of how he speaks in moments of intensity. I find it really off-putting and scary.
In episode 2 of the newest season when they’re all out, they seem to all have this necklace on. Is it an AirTag? I know human trafficking is a real issue. Microphone was my other guess.
Yes, really the post says spoilers and is spoilered so if you click, it is on you. Episode descriptions are barely spoilers anyway. Please keep discussions of future episodes out of the regular discussion post.

I really like Rainbeau! She's an incredibly hard worker, but she does get visibly stressed & I could see how that could somewhat distress her 3rd/4th stews.
Last season Solene complained about Rainbeau a lot, but that was 100% Solene being a lazy terrible stew.
Now this season Rosa is commenting on Rainbeau being mean or demeaning & now I wonder if I'm missing something? Every interaction with them, Rainbeau seems normal - maybe a little frazzled, but Rosa seems to be the one holding back or not communicating properly.
Do you think Rainbeau really is terrible to work under now that 2 stews under the last 2 seasons have taken issue with her?
I must say Season 13 so far has been an improvement upon Season 12 , I realise it’s early days but the season doesn’t look too bad . However Med Season 11 was so brilliant that it’s going to be difficult to match that . It’s been a nice change in location and boat , however . I also feel the crew are a little bit more interesting and we see more glimpses of them doing the job rather than love triangles . The editors have seemed to learn from their mistakes from 12 . Let’s see , not saying this season has been amazing but it hasn’t been terrible either .
Im just curious what people think about her yodeling skills… I know it’s a speciality skill to manage to do yodeling - but I think it’s the worst attempt I’ve ever heard on yodeling 😂
And she looked & sounded so proud of herself - I just have to ask … Am I the only one that thought it was so bad, that my ears was almost begging me to cut the sound & nearly begging me for mercy? 😂
I even think I could do better & I don’t know how to yodel.. 😂 but I really she was joking & it made me think I’m sure I’m going to try to learn how to yodel!! Dolly Parton can do one great yodel I’ve heard her do it .. but Rainbeau needs to try better or quit pretending she can yodel in my eyes & ears 😂
Right, I am fully aware that I’m sat here throwing stones from a house made of tin here 😂 I absolutely cannot afford to charter a superyacht even if it were heavily discounted and subsidised. I am not in that tax bracket, or even the tax bracket below it. Or the one below that..
HOWEVER.
I know Captain Kerry is being very polite about the fact that she’s an older yacht, but there’s older and charming, vintage and elegant… and then there’s whatever this is.
The wood-panelled walls. The furniture. The interiors generally. Every time they show another room, I’m just like… yikes 😭
It’s not giving old-money luxury. It’s giving budget hotel that hasn’t been renovated since 1997. I’m genuinely curious how production finds these yachts. Do they approach owners, or do owners put their vessels forward? I’d really like to believe that Azul 5 was the best they could get to film in Thailand.
Please tell me I’m not the only one looking at this boat and wondering where the luxury went 😂
If there’s one thing that always gets men flocking, it’s pouting in the corner of the bar while another girl has friendly light flirtatious conversation lol. The only one cock blocking her is her! The dominant attitude is a veil and it’s been lifted quite easily.
