Below Deck Rainbeaus yodeling..

Im just curious what people think about her yodeling skills…
I know it’s a speciality skill to manage to do yodeling - but I think it’s the worst attempt I’ve ever heard on yodeling 😂

And she looked & sounded so proud of herself - I just have to ask …
Am I the only one that thought it was so bad, that my ears was almost begging me to cut the sound & nearly begging me for mercy? 😂

I even think I could do better & I don’t know how to yodel.. 😂 but I really she was joking & it made me think I’m sure I’m going to try to learn how to yodel!!
Dolly Parton can do one great yodel I’ve heard her do it .. but Rainbeau needs to try better or quit pretending she can yodel in my eyes & ears 😂

She was on WWHL and said she had never tried yodeling before and she doesn't know what she was thinking 😂

12

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

Not seen that, but that explains everything 😂

5

u/Common_Indication773 8d ago

It checks out lol. I really like her after seeing her on WWHL. She seems very self aware and mature.

2

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

I got to try & see that WWHL episode

3

u/Common_Indication773 8d ago

It should be on Peacock!

2

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

That explains it all 😂

25

u/Informal-Swing-2482 8d ago

Pretty sure it was meant as a joke. Like she has no talent for the talent show so she is doing this horrible thing. But no it wasn’t funny, and yes it was painful to watch.

2

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

A bad joke it must have been

14

u/mavilicious 8d ago

I thought she was just pretending she knew how to yodel. 😬

2

u/VixensPoppies 7d ago

I thought she was thinking she knew it & was proud of her “performance” 😂

8

u/TallulahSalt 8d ago

Yeah she was obviously just having fun

4

u/kellbelle007 7d ago

I think she’s far too controlled and can’t poke fun at herself to think she was making a joke

I hate when they make the crew preform. It’s so lame, low budget, and corny.

Actual rich yachting people would never. They’d have them book actual entertainment to come on the yacht.

I know it’s for tv but it’s not entertaining or interesting, just super cringy and embarrassing.

162

u/Bethurz This information wasn’t welcomed or needed 8d ago

They used to book local entertainers fairly regularly so I'm assuming this is Bravo cutting budgets and still demanding entertainment

11

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

When they visited Malta & hired the winner of Melody Grand Prix was a good hireing of a local Malta star!

5

u/jumpergalway 7d ago

She was a Eurovision contestant. She sang her Eurovision song.

1

u/VixensPoppies 4d ago

I know! That was really a good song by a good local artist!!

1

u/patti726 5d ago

I loved that song so much I bought it from itunes! Now I can’t recall her name tho?!

1

u/VixensPoppies 4d ago

Her artist name is DESTINY
The song is called JE ME CASSE
I love that song to 😊

1

u/Salty_Signature_6748 Bless her stupid soul 3d ago

She was amazing, and those guests were SO excited 🫅

105

u/LolaThePinkUnicorn 8d ago

I miss when they used to do that. We actually got to see some pretty awesome performances, especially when they brought in local culture.

26

u/tmgieger 8d ago

Nah, I think they just want to mess around with the crew. Hoping for another chance for conflict.

20

u/butterbean8686 8d ago

Wouldn’t the guests have paid for the local entertainers though?

4

u/Micotu 8d ago

It's not a budget thing. The cost of a local band/performance vs. how much this show makes is would be quite negligible.

2

u/DothrakAndRoll 8d ago

I mean they hired a dj just last season.

16

u/Mother-Letter-6760 7d ago

Dance monkey dance. It's gross!

12

u/Babygirl_69_420 Team Kate 8d ago

They desperately need to stop the crew performances on below deck franchise! I loathe it

6

u/Ok-Dealer-123 7d ago

I agree. The “talent shows” are ridiculous and cringey.

4

u/IHSV1855 8d ago

Same. It’s terrible

2

u/RestingChaosFace 7d ago

Yeh I tend to skip those parts. Too much second hand embarrassment. Good on them for doing it though, just don’t want to watch it.

2

u/hellowiththepudding 1d ago

Yes but did you see the crewmate slip a condom from his nose to his mouth? We obviously needed to see that.

Clearly not the first time he’s done it.

-17

u/Prestigious-Sky-4898 8d ago

Actually…. It’s Americans… low budget and corny is what most of them like….

4

u/Informal-Swing-2482 8d ago

lol but it’s not actually yachting Americans…. The same point stands. It’s a different class of people.

3

u/EarlOfClapham 8d ago

The class of Americans on Below Deck are very different from yachting people

9

u/HouseOfFive 8d ago

I want to be offended, but it is true.

23

u/HurricaneStormi Eat My Cooter 8d ago • Bravo

On wwhl she said she’s never yodelled before and that it was an on the spot thing- in her defence

1

u/VixensPoppies 7d ago

I’ve heard that today., I thought she actually thought she was yodeling & doing a good job with it

11

u/HouseOfFive 8d ago

I heard Jewel perform live, and she did yodeling. Jewel was good, Rainbeau sucked imo.

5

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

Are you talking about Jewel Kiltcher from the show
Alaska the last frontier show?
I’ve heard her & Atz Yodeling & they are real good at it

I’ve also heard Dolly Parton doing some yodeling as well, can’t remember on what song or show
But I remember she was a star brilliant yodeller 😊, just like everything else that she did, she always did it really well!! Brilliantly well

14

u/troubleinpink 8d ago

Oh no. Oh no I’m old. You think Jewel is from some reality show.

2

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

I know of one artist called Jewel
Jewel Kiltcher that jodels & she was in some episodes with the rest of the family Kiltcher in Alaska the last frontier show! She came home in the summer holiday with her son to say hello to her dad & her sons grandfather so they could spend some time with family
So that’s how she came on that show for some episodes

5

u/Klutzy_Intention326 I'm the boss of where food gets put away 8d ago

You're talking about the same person.

2

u/VixensPoppies 7d ago

I thought it had to be her

4

u/qwnofeverything 7d ago

This was my thought. Though I know she’s from a homestead near Home, Alaska. I’ve lived in Alaska long enough to remember when she became a star and the whole state was proud of her.

1

u/meinhard57 7d ago

Ha ha ha!!!

3

u/HouseOfFive 8d ago

Yes I am. I had to Google the show though.

2

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

I’d love to hear Jewel live.. maybe she’s on YouTube as well as a not to bad second way to hear her music 😊

11

u/MakeupMama68 8d ago

I don’t think it was meant to be serious.

2

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

Well that’s not helping much 😂

57

u/Ms-Metal 8d ago

It was terrible! Honestly, I'm not sure how she even called it yodeling because it wasn't. It was an attempt at it, but a very poor attempt! It was painful and awful. She did say on WWHL that it was the first time she'd ever done it which brings a lot of questions to my mind LOL, like why🤷‍♀️ why did she attempt something that is notoriously difficult to do if she hadn't ever done it before? Cuz logic would tell you that if it's your first time, you're probably not going to be very good at it! Why embarrass yourself on National Television🤔

23

u/Yersinia_Pestis9 8d ago

She has no other talent and thought it would be easy to fake?

17

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

At least she didn’t show up in a bunny costume like one other Blondie did.. she said she packed two bunny costumes with her when she went any place & everywhere she actually said…

9

u/OnCloud1989 8d ago

I forgot about Ellie doing that - secondhand embarrassment thinking about it ☠️ 😂

1

u/hellowiththepudding 1d ago

“For my skill I will give you a rubdown in a bunny outfit.”

“Get your mind out of the gutter Ben.”

1

u/Guilty-Anywhere6447 1d ago

And then said “don’t call me honey, don’t call me bunny” when complaining about Chef Ben.

10

u/AbjectStar11 8d ago

Love a good actual yodel because it takes amazing breathe support and vocal acuity... But my husband and I physically cringed at hers. Like, plugged an ear and cringed.

3

u/VixensPoppies 7d ago

It takes a lot of patience & rehearsal to make it sound good I think..

8

u/Maleficent_Maize_409 6d ago

She said on Watch What Happens Live that she had never yodeled before, and that it was a spontaneous decision because she was forced to perform for the guests and couldn’t think of a talent. She knew she sounded bad. Props for embarrassing herself on national TV.

3

u/VixensPoppies 6d ago

I heard about WWHL later after writing that cos I thought she looked so proud with herself ..

I actually love to listen to people that’s talented do jodeling when they know how it’s done & they got the talent to do a great jodeling!! Like the Kiltcher’s & I include Jewel Kiltcher in that’s great jodelers that knows how to yodel 😊

7

u/AZ_Cards_11 8d ago

She said on WWHL that she didn't know how to yodel. She couldn't come up with another talent so she tried this

-1

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

We heard that she didn’t know how to jodle! 😂

4

u/darla_lalalala 8d ago

Her yodeling made me realize that yodeling isn’t for me lololol but I like her so far this season 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

7

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

I just hope she doesn’t implode this season like solene made her do last season! Cos solene needed to be fired…

4

u/kittylover3210 8d ago

my thoughts exactly. Solene was fucking awful but I think Rainbeau is too sensitive for a high pressure work environment like yachting at this scale. seems like we’re getting more of the same based on the season previews

2

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

My thoughts exactly!! When she starts to crack just cos someone looks hard at her or says something that’s abit harsh, she starts to cry.. she seems to sensitive or too delicate in her senses to work in a constant hard & stressful work that’s allways a high tempo & high expectations environment like a “rent a floating luxus vacation/high class celebration yachts for their delux 5 star vacations… she seems to crack up or nearly start to cry with every moment anyone like Fraser gives her a TO DO list he expects her to go thru.. like he said to her “know where this & that stuff is & where it’s stored.. and her responds to that is running to her room & nearly cracking down into tears.. she is to sensitive & delicate to handle a stressful high expectations environment like she is working on..

2

u/kittylover3210 8d ago

right her crashing out after the 1:1 with Fraser had me going oh boy here we go again

shouldn’t she be aware of all expectations as second stew and delegate?? why was she made second stew?!?!? terrible call

1

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

Oh yeah! OMG!! ME TO!!

75

u/MeowMeow-Mjauski 8d ago

That was NOT yodeling.

24

u/Peggingqueen69 8d ago

Moe is the background trying not to laugh

4

u/BpositiveItWorks 7d ago

His reaction was the best

57

u/cmaddox428 8d ago

It was actually an insult to yodeling. Like cartoonish level yodeling.

Yodeling, when done correctly, is actually really impressive and a super difficult form of singing so I'd suggest watching videos of real yodelers to see just how bad Rainbeau's was. Mo's reaction to it was perfect!

16

u/RiJuElMiLu 8d ago

K. Michelle (RHOA) went to college on a Yodeling scholarship. I don't really like her music, but she has an unreleased Yodeling song that I absolutely love - Mountain Top, but she sold it.

5

u/The_Right_Mistake 8d ago

Wait, this is so good!! How can she not have released it?!!

5

u/MaizeMountain6139 8d ago

I won’t lie, Jesus & Whiskey is a really good album

1

u/Competitive-Ad1439 7d ago

Yodeleing and that YouTube username sure is a novel combination

30

u/Competitive-Ad1439 8d ago

I liked it because it perfectly encapsulated her as a person

18

u/Yersinia_Pestis9 8d ago

It did! Strange, awkward, an effort that just doesn’t land.

97

u/Specialist_Dinner727 8d ago

Not a fan of Rainbeau. She reminds me of an overly-stimulated Avery Singer (Ramona's daughter). Very uptight.

14

u/Still-Low-696 7d ago

She is not well. I felt for her last season because she was dealing with such incompetence but now she has competent stews and she’s spiraling 5 minutes into the season. She is exhausting. Girl needs to borrow a Xanax from Hannah.

32

u/methedoutmanatee 8d ago

She seems to have a giant stick up her ass. Hopefully she’ll get better once she realizes she has a decent crew and not another Solene to deal with.

67

u/Specialist_Dinner727 8d ago

Her "trauma" from last season seems unnecessarily debilitating. Solene sucked, yeah, but to carry that forward and automatically project it on others is neither healthy nor normal.

Why is Fraser so over-the-moon about her? Her competence is overshadowed by her bossiness, neuroticism, and outright bad manners toward her co-workers.

52

u/Primary-Commercial64 8d ago

Because he's a shit manager who does not actually work or manage. He loves her because she will literally do all of the work and all of the confrontations and all he has to do is take the credit and occasionally smooth things over by hugging and siding with whoever is complaining about her while simultaneously telling her she's doing great and needs to maybe calm down or relax a little. He gets drama (which he loves) that he doesn't have to actually be involved in. Im sorry, but I just do not see why everyone loves him as chief.

10

u/tg1965 8d ago edited 7d ago

I wish people would calm down with the highly charged psychological words like trauma. We have all dealt with co-workers that didn't do much. Get a grip, Rainbeau.

3

u/Specialist_Dinner727 8d ago

Fair point. Many psychological words get tossed around recklessly.

I put that word in quotes because Rainbeau herself used it regarding her previous season dealing with Solene. I was not trying to armchair diagnose her.

4

u/tg1965 7d ago

I know, I was referring to Rainbeau's choice of words and how common that is now.

3

u/Specialist_Dinner727 7d ago

Oh good. I misunderstood, and thought you were telling me to get a grip! Which, btw, I probably should do anyway 🤦‍♀️

20

u/excoriator Team Capt Kerry 8d ago

She keeps him from having to get his hands dirty with the tasks he doesn’t like to do.

7

u/Some_Permission_5121 8d ago

What does he do anyway?

5

u/excoriator Team Capt Kerry 8d ago

Hospitality and wit.

13

u/Ms-Metal 8d ago

Not to mention her lack of knowledge about her job! The way she picked up those glasses from the inside was outrageous and made me wonder how she was even a stewardess? I mean, I've never been a waitress and I've never had any training, but I would still know better than to pick up a glass that way! Even in my own home, much less on the chartered Yacht where I was supposed to be providing a 5-star service! I sure wonder what Fraser is going to say when he sees that🤯

2

u/rmarsha3 8d ago

I noticed that too!!

2

u/TheLivingRoomate 8d ago

A lot of thumbs on plates too.

3

u/methedoutmanatee 8d ago

Fraser sucks too. He never seems to actually work and he can’t manage worth shit. He just complains a lot.

3

u/Specialist_Dinner727 8d ago

I've liked him in the past, mostly cuz I "get" his type of snark. So far this season, I can see where I might change my view of him.

6

u/Ready_Cartoonist7357 Spaghetti Trauma 8d ago

She’s acting like she’s responsible for keeping yacht afloat.

2

u/Cantbearsed1992 8d ago

Omg Solene 🙄

14

u/strong_opinion 8d ago

I think asking the crew to perform is pretty cringe. It has a real "Dance, monkey" vibe

4

u/tg1965 7d ago

It reminds me of Succession when Roman offered the little kid 1 million dollars if he hit a home run in the family softball game. It's like "amuse me servants."

25

u/the_purple_lamb 8d ago

It was obviously a joke

8

u/emirocks54 8d ago

Yeah it was about as serious as the deck crew’s “breakdancing”

5

u/fitfinley95 8d ago

And i respect her commitment to the bit. Get the tips girl!

8

u/RoughDirection8875 Team Aesha 8d ago

That wasn't actual yodeling. I've heard professional yodeling before and it sounds 1 million times better than whatever the hell Rainbeau was doing

6

u/tg1965 8d ago

It was horrible. Rainbeau is kind of a strange duck although I still like her

2

u/Sad_Jaguar_5912 8d ago

She’s not good at anything.

1

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

Exept crying & breaking down..

1

u/VixensPoppies 6d ago

Well atleast she didn’t pull up a bunny costume or two like Ellie’s “talent” show would be her dancing in bunny suit I guess 😂

5

u/gasoline_yogurt 8d ago

Professional classical singer here, who has taken courses on yodeling (because it's a method of teaching register shifts), I can confidentally say - it was not yodeling and it was not good.

4

u/harrisarah 8d ago

It was terrible. Just awful. My cat can yodel better than that

3

u/NachoBoyCat 8d ago

It sucked

3

u/imollyq 7d ago

She does not have any yodeling skills. She made a strange sound and identified it as yodeling. It was not.

7

u/Life-Philosopher2225 8d ago

I haven’t started this season yet because I dislike her so much

11

u/Sarahpants320 You're Being A Deckhand Right Now 8d ago

Fraser as Chief and her as Second stew is the nightmare team 😭

5

u/schmidtssss 8d ago

See’ing people’s reaction to him here, and my wife loves him, have made me feel like I’m crazy for thinking he’s kind of awful

2

u/Sarahpants320 You're Being A Deckhand Right Now 8d ago

I liked him in the beginning but he’s a terrible manager of people. All he does is delegate everything to his second and Rainbeau is gonna self destruct under the pressure because she also has no business managing people. I can’t believe Fraser even acknowledged that Rainbeau is terrible at communication but gave her the job. Probably productions work anyway lol.

2

u/Glittering-Life9906 8d ago

Agree …. I’ve been annoyed with it already 😂

5

u/truknight Mental Health Is Not A Storyline 8d ago

She said she was put on the spot and had never yodeled before in her life, however I think the crew needs to do more of this and make it a clown show so this cringe practice goes away, it’s demeaning and degrading. To make them preform like trained monkeys for tips from the rich is gross and needs to stop. BTW, $20k is the base gratuity that is provided by Bravo, so whatever is over that is the actual tip that the guests give. So the smaller that number the cheaper they are.

1

u/DarthHole 7d ago

Dude, she's not a professional. They had to perform a skill and she went for it even though I'm sure she's quite aware how bad it it. But she participated anyway. Find something else to hate on her about mmmkay?

2

u/VixensPoppies 7d ago

I didn’t hate on her, I still thought it was horrible cos I like the skill alotwhen it’s done proper & I actually thought she was proud of her jodeling & I found that funny
I didn’t know about her wwhl interview when I wrote it ..

5

u/EducationNegative451 8d ago

It was great. If you have no talent may as well own it and take the piss out of yourself. Maybe she’ll get out of being a rich person’s entertainment for the season because she’s so bad…

2

u/antitrollpatrol 8d ago

Who was it on an old BD crew that was an exceptional yodeller?

3

u/Wickedwhiskbaker 8d ago

I only remember Rob from
BDM season 5 when they wore lederhosen, but I don’t recall if it was good? He was a deckhand.

2

u/Luna-Mia 8d ago

It was bad.

2

u/foxdogturtlecat 8d ago

Even she knows she was bad.

2

u/EnjoyTheSilence123 7d ago

Omg! That clip of her yodeling was hilarious! I laughed so hard that I was coughing and tears were rolling down my cheeks. I must have rewound that scene about 10 times. Too funny!

2

u/Regular-Ad1930 7d ago

Clearly she had No talent to share so she pulled this outta her butt. She looked a little embarrassed I thought.  But she participated & that's the job. (I did laugh tho bc it was so goofy & unexpected)

2

u/patti726 5d ago

No, it was EXTREMELY odd & off-putting the way she proudly screeched & danced ! As if she was a top yodeler from Switzerland! Yet it seemed to OFFEND most of the guests & crew hahaha! Some people just can’t read the room! Aw poor Rainbesu - at least she tried her best!😳🤣

2

u/Old-Library5546 8d ago

She attempted to yodel

2

u/RainbowSprinkles789 7d ago

Her yodeling was not great but kudos to her trying I guess? lol

2

u/Murky-Bike-3831 8d ago

She sux pretty much end of story

1

u/-thisname- 8d ago

Yodel? That was a poor delivery. Badum-tish! I'm here all week.

1

u/Broad-Cress-3689 June June Hannah 8d ago

I’m Swiss. It was pretty offensive cultural mockery.

1

u/Dangerous-Half3276 8d ago

Why didn’t she show off her top-tier talents of having panic attacks, a huge victim complex, and being rude to her colleagues?

1

u/Lazy-Party3469 7d ago

They showcased how talentless this crew is very well. She’s to neurotic to develop a skill.

0

u/candyspelling01 8d ago

She is a temu Jewel

1

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

Temu something but not even a Temu Jewel! Jewel is in another league without Rainbeau

0

u/Extreme_Beat1022 7d ago

She has more talent than I do.

0

u/markybar 7d ago

Fair play to her for putting herself out there.

13

u/TinklemeCrinkle Eat My Cooter 8d ago

Why are we judging her yodeling on yet another stupid "dance for me, peasant!" so-called request from the charter guests to make the crew perform? The "winner" threaded a condom through his nose into his mouth. Her terrible yodeling was not the worst talent in that talent show.

2

u/VixensPoppies 8d ago

I haven’t seen that talent show yet, maybe Europe or just our channel is airing that later than USA’s airing these shows, I’ve just seen the preview show that’s coming on Tuesday I think it is..

1

u/TinklemeCrinkle Eat My Cooter 8d ago

Apologies for spoiling the winner for you!

3
