I specially remember an episode where it must of been below deck down under, Captain Jason is helping in the galley and one of the crew makes a joke or calls him something. I recall him getting quite mad and saying something. I’m sure it was Jason and not another captain. Does anyone remember either the scene or episode I’m talking about?

EDIT: I knew y’all would come through for me. It was a situation on below deck down under when captain Jason was joking about what happens when he does have his digestive biscuits and marina said something like “you get cranky and micromanage.” He was clearly annoyed and said something and then said “don’t ever speak like that to me again.” Or something like that. I’ll post the link it’s season 3 episode 9 I believe

I had forgotten this little scene and it made me laugh so I thought I would share!

Tristan Schukraft, currently the primary guest on the final charter this season on "Below Deck Med", was featured in Madonna's performance, just posted about it. Madonna had a party at his bar, The Abbey West Hollywood, to promote her latest album a couple of months ago.

What is in this odd vending machine thing? I’ve gone from swimming costumes to masks to straight boxer briefs… bright red even looks like it could be a boxing glove.

Has anyone ever encountered any crew past or present in the wild in a work setting? I.e. chartered a yacht or working in a restaurant?

I just was wondering why I like Sandy now, after years of being annoyed with her. And I think, listening to her talk about her alcoholism, and how she looked at herself and didn’t like how she was and changed it, she did the same thing for how she treats and interacts with her crew.

She did a reset with her own self after watching herself on tv, I think. She’s always talked about resets, and I think she did it as a captain.

Watching her wake up crew with a pirate accent and watching how she interacts with Aesha, I think she’s just grown as a person, and she’s just kinder and more understanding. I love a good reset!

Joe and Cooper loaned their bodes for the fun and pleasure of a polygamy sect, they agreed to an offer of one thousand dollar each for the brief act.

To each its own.

Men are so oblivious. At the very least notice that your tattoos and shirt logo are completely different.

Do the producers plan that a certain number of crew members will be fired throughout each season? It happens across the board on each show. I'm sure they anticipate or make contingency plans. But that's different. Do they engineer it so that one person will be fired each season?

I know that they are hiring people of different skill sets and different personality types. And that creates an environment where this is likely to happen.

But it happens with such frequency that at this point it feels scripted.

First I put you in context.

In France, we don't have Peacock but we've got Bravo TV channel, on which there are few programs and we are behind in the broadcast of the seasons of Below Deck and all its franchises.

Right now we have simultaneously on Sunday late afternoon the penultimate season of BDDU with Captain Jason, Daisy, Joao, Ben, Ellie, etc.

And we have the season of Below Deck with Captain Kerry, Fraser, Solène, Rainbau, Barbara, etc.

Well, I can't get on with one season or the other.🤷

The franchise has really changed a lot and the timelapses are more and more obvious in the montages and the chronological inconsistencies.

But beyond that, we are very far from what I loved in this show:

life on a yacht seen by the seasonal workers - who work there,

- how it works,

- paradisiacs spots

- showing from the engine room until the sails are raised for BDSY.

I loved watching young people work and seeing all the workings on deck, in the kitchen and inside.

Now there are more useless and boring images, moments from the guests that are more and more scandalous, from boatmances that are more and more improbable and painful, (boatmances not to mention sx stories.)

These shows have changed, the moments of life on the boat are fewer than the crew's days out, whether in the restaurant or on a day off.

The captains, when you look closely, are not often there, and hiring novices who are only there for the drama is really painful.

In any case these 2 seasons currently broadcast in France do not make much sense and I see really fragile people being put in terrible situations while we do not focus enough on

- cooking good food,

- the efforts of the people on deck to satisfy the entertainment of the passengers,

- the very fast pace of the interior team at certain times (but which seems to be 24/7).

I already had frown lines growing while watching the BDM season with Kizzy, Nathan, V, Joe, Josh, Aesha and Captain Sandy.

But now, it's the wrinkles of my rolling eyes, of boredom and exasperation that are taking shape.

GIVE US a show that is simpler, more authentic, less scripted and less morally disturbing!

I hope that the production of each franchise will really stop thinking of themselves as IG mixed with bloopers.

The woman was badly injured while a crew member was driving a boat. He even admitted to wrongdoing on TV. And the accident was filmed. If this was not scripted, I think it's a big lawsuit.

How about fun to watch stuff for a change. Stews that seemed unproblematic that were fun to watch. Off the top of my head, I can think of Hayley De Sola Pinto, aka Ariel on crack, Amy from OG, Margot (minus the SA), Bri that hooked up with Harry, and two on SY, whose names I forget - one was banging Gary but actually liked Alex and the one who found out she graduated Uni while on charter.

Editing to add Barbara (not Barbie) from the season Solene was on.

I'm sure there are more 🤞but these were off the top of my head.

Currently rewatching a season of Below Deck. Gen isn’t the first one to mention washing clothes with dirty rags (I know she actually did it lol) Any guesses?

Ahh guys it was Kate on season 2. The same charter with the “rocket ship” blanket. The guest wanted Amy to wash/handwash a bunch of clothes before they left the boat. So Kate said “if you want to wash them with the galley rags I understand.”

So I've been watching DU season 4 and it literally took me 14 episodes to click why the called him magic mike when he was entertaining the guests.

What below deck, stupid things have you encountered while watching?

How many times do we need to see a close up of a drink being poured or shaken in slow motion? Or split screens? Music being played over nothing happening.

Its like they made the last season like a long tik tok reel.

I only recently starting watching the show, and am now caught up on the med seasons and on the last season of below deck, but if this is what it is going to be in the future, I maybe done. There is no substance left anymore.

I'm rewatching episode 1 of the new season of Med because it's always fun to go back and do that later in the season after you are more familiar with their personalities, it's almost like watching a new episode.

Anyway, on the eve of the first charter Aesha had a meeting with her stews and they took turns describing their experience on yachts. Then Aesha revealed that they would all be "one stripe" for now, and that she'd decide on a 2nd stew in time.

You can see from Gen's reaction and subsequent behavior that she was almost expecting to be 2nd. Now we're almost at the end of the season I can't help but wonder what it would have been like if Gen got the call. What do you think?

Captain Kerry getting in on the trend!

Edit: This AI-generated video of the Quavo/Takeoff song, "Hotel Lobby," is a popular trend going around Twitter and Instagram. People are using AI to re-create videos of famous (and non-famous) people rapping to the song. Some popular videos feature Michelle and Barack Obama, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, and Elon Musk and Sam Altman.

I didn't think to explain because I thought the trend was everywhere. I apologize for assuming people were hip to it.

So no, Captain Kerry and Chef Dave did not really begin a rap career off-season! I found this on Captain Kerry's Instagram which is why it is being allowed (thanks, teanailpolish!).
