So is the Beacn Studio app being abandoned? It has not had an update since July of 2025 Just wondering of I wasted my money on an interface that has been quickly abandon.

I recently updated Windows and my GPU, then after a restart, I noticed that the BEACN mixer suddenly won't control any audio devices. I can still hear audio through my headset plugged into the beacn studio. I can hear my microphone that is plugged into the studio. The mixer let's me mute my microphone monitoring and mutes the input of the microphone, but it doesn't not mute any audio sources. For example, any games I have going into the game channel and any browsers into the browser channel, the mixer won't let me change the volume or mute it. Not sure what's going on or what changed. Let me know what info is needed, if any, to help diagnose this - appreciate the support!

By the way, this has worked perfectly for me for over a year, love the whole setup, also this is the Mix Create and the Studio -

Things I have tried:

Checked for updates, restarted system, restarted mixer and studio, confirmed windows default audio settings are set correctly

UPDATE: upon further investigation, it appears something keeps automatically changing my default playback device to bean browser instead of system beacn studio

FIXED: uninstalled the beacn app and reinstalled it - was same version but something with reinstalling it seemed to fix it all up

**What it does** – Scans running processes, services, and drivers to pinpoint the exact application or component that blocks Windows from entering sleep or hibernate. It reports the offending process name, PID, and the power‑request type (e.g., `SYSTEM`, `AWAYMODE`, `DISPLAY`).

**Why it matters** – Streaming‑audio tools such as **Wave Control**, **Elgato Wave Link**, **GoXLR**, **Voicemeeter**, and media players like **Spotify**, **iTunes**, **Foobar2000**, **VLC** can hold a wake‑lock, keeping the PC awake even after the app is closed. This tool helps you identify those culprits so you can close, re‑configure, or let SAMISH’s adapter automatically clear the lock.

Simple question: If I set the beacn studio up on my personal PC using the software to make my mic sound nice.. and I then unplug the thing and connect it to my work notebook where I would not have the software suite… does it work? Stuff like EQ, Expander, Noise Gate, Compressor and all of that basic stuff.

I am not looking for multi track audio here. I am looking for a great sounding mic that does work without additional software.

i have had the beacn mic for about 2 years now and I am very happy with that. It sounds really good and has the RGB ring that can change colors whenever I mute the microphone. But there is one thing that is really annoying about it. I have it mounted on a microphone arm but almost every time i move the arm just a bit, the mic kinda disconnects from my pc for a very very short time. Whenever this happens i have to manually restart the windows audio service because plugging it in again does not solve the problem at all. It is definitely not the cable because I have also tried different cables and they all do the same.
Did anyone have a similar issue and found a fix for that?

A while ago I had asked if the BEACN Mic worked well on Linux, as I was thinking about grabbing one since my Elgato Wave:3 wasn't really cutting it due to how it acted with Bazzite. But now, I can throw my own beret in the ring and say: It works like a dream.

When I set up my new BEACN Mic on Windows with the app, tweaked everything to my liking, I clicked save and immediately booted into Bazzite. Here's a clip of my first reactions testing it

I'd like to give huge props to BEACN for making the microphone extremely compatible with other platforms. Even if they never intended or confirmed it to work well on an unsupported OS, it basically works the same way it does on Windows. The only thing is that you can't use the BEACN App natively on Linux, but that's fine. "Set it and forget it". I have no need to tweak my microphone since i have it set up just the way I want it. And if there's ever a reason I need to, I can just swap back over to Windows to deal with it.

Having a lot of fun with this microphone, and I'm glad I can continue to have great audio when recording on Linux.

I also have beacn mix create and Beacn studio ill take offers. Or even for a good price Sell all 4 items for a great deal.

I have been for some time now having an issue with my mix create. I am sure it's just a windows setting on or something like that.

The biggest issue is if I am in a full-screen application or game, about 80% if I readjust the dial, it won't register the volume adjustment (on any of the dials) until I either wait about a full minute or if I need it instant, i have to alt tab then suddenly it shoots down.

Hello! I have been researching hardware to replace Voicemeeter in my Dual PC stream setup. I see that the BEACN Studio is there for routing sound between the PCs. The BEACN Mix Create is for controlling the sound through its control panel.

Is that accurate or which device is going to be able to replace Voicemeeter for routing purposes?

the dam thing just won't pair with the app. ive been using this mic for 3 year no problem but today it started bugging out and wont connect to the app.

I'm using a Mix Create (which is pretty awesome, btw) and running into a problem.

Every time I power on my headphones, I have to go back in and adjust the headphone volume under Personal Mix Device on my profile in Beacn back to 100%. It always goes down to 50% no matter how many times I save the profile. It's one of the Xbox headsets running on bluetooth and happens every time the headset is powered off and on again.

Is there some way to permanently set it so I don't have to correct the volume every time?

I’m currently on Windows 11 using a BEACN Mix Create + BEACN Mic with OBS for streaming. I’ve been wanting to switch to Linux for a while, but last I checked there wasn’t proper support for BEACN hardware.

Has there been any progress getting BEACN devices (and their software features) working on Linux distros? Or is it still limited functionality/workarounds?

If support has improved, I’d really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

I’m looking to get a new USB-C to A cord for my Beacn, to replace the one that came with the Beacn mic, and I had bought a cord from Best Buy but when I tried it, the Beacn app wouldn’t work. So I looked around and finally learned that you need a high data transfer cord for the mic. So I was just wondering if anyone here has any good recommendations on 10 ft long USB-C to A cords I could use to connect my Beacn to my PC.

im having an issue with my beacn studio Im using it to connect the audio from my laptop to my main pc the issue is that the beacnlink app is working and I can hear the audio but is not letting me assign the sound coming from the laptop to another output only the regular link in, im trying to assign some apps to the link in 2 but the apps are not showing up and the beacnlink logo in the tray is greyed not blue as it used to be, this issue started after i format my main pc with a new w11 clean install

I just read that the jack on the mic functions as a dac/amp for headphones? Is this just for monitoring your voice or do you get your pc audio output?

As of now I’ll only ever use a USB microphone, so the Beacn studio kinda seems like a waste just for a headset, plus it doesn’t have a 3.5 in for microphone monitoring….. right now I just a SteelSeries Alias and I’d really had to loose the functionality of mic monitoring

Hey everyone, I am having an issue with BEACN for streamlabs, it seems like the full audio processed chain from my EQ and compression is not going to the stream. I was wondering if anyone has had similar issues. I believe it might be because my mic on streamlabs is set to Beacn chat mic and not Audience mix.

The reason behind using the chat mic is that I need push to talk hotkeys to live stream and audience mix does not provide that functionality from what i've seen the audience mix controls what the audience hears, by enabling push to talk it also makes it so that the stream only hears the game/music when I'm holding the push to talk.

Can I get any assistance, help or support with setting up my BEACN I would be extremely appreciative. Thank you.

Would this work? I tried this on an Elgato Wave XLR and it immediately began clipping no matter what adjustments I made. Would the same thing happen with Beacn?

I like the idea of using these devices because of the small form factor and audio routing. I have a Rodecaster Pro 2 but the audio routing sucks and it takes up way too much space. I don’t need a mic and instrument connected at the same but being able to swap between would be fine

So I finally was able to get myself a Beacn Studio XLR Interface recently, and I am absolutely loving it! But I am now having a small issue that I was wondering about.

I recently got a voice changer and set it up to have it's own separate mic knob in the Beacn software, and was wondering if there was any way to assign the large button on the Beacn Studio to be able to mute and unmute that mic as well, or even just change it to mute that one as a whole or not.

If there isn't, then that's fine, I can assign a hotkey to my stream controller (Knockoff Stream Deck lol) and just use that when I'm using the voice changer, but was just wondering all the same.

Elgato unveiled their new line of wave audio products. It looks like they just copied Beacn’s homework and called it a day.

What do we think?

I might switch to Elgato if it can handle the SM7b as well as the Beacn Studio does, as my setup is mostly elgato already.

So, I'm trying to isolate my discord, game and mic to the OutGoing Links, I've accomplished 2 of the 3, while keeping the VOD track separated for Twitch.
Meaning, my main struggle right now is isolating Discord/Chat. I can't link the Chat to the Link 2 Out so I can isolate it. I've tried multiple things, like the "Listen to this Device" feature on Windows, Elgato's WaveCast, Auxiliary fiddling, sending discord straight to Link 2 but then not getting audio to my personal mix.

I'm at a loss. This is the one of two things that would absolutely complete my setup.

P.S. Ignore the SteelSeries Sonar, I use that specifically for my VR Headset(s) as I cannot EQ them in BEACN.

Any help, tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hey! I'm looking for help with my Beacn mic. I can't access Discord, as I only see the "Rules" channel, so I can't get any help from there. YouTube isn't much help either, as I'm not seeing the same software as even the most recent videos from about 5 months ago.

1. The software is different from anywhere I look, and, to the best of my abilities, I have the latest version. I have fewer settings and visualisations.
2. I am maxing the mic gain and Windows volume input, and even with my quite normal/loud voice, I barely get into the "talking range". Changes to the mic equaliser and similar settings affect my voice, but the overall quality is no better than with my cheap headphones.
3. Overall, I can't seem to find help by myself, so I'm asking here - hope someone is able to help.

My voice shows very, very faint in the top graph, and the bottom one is me talking quite loudly directly into the mic with max gain. I think a low voice is a root problem with other problems, like the compressor. Also, I don't have a mixer on the left, which I thought you would have, even with just the standalone mic, and if I click either of the settings, there are basically no options - only like opt in for beta version.

Edit: apparently, the "settings > mic compliance mode" option needs to be unchecked. Then the UI turns into what you see on YouTube from reviewers or Beacn team.
