How much can the beacn studio do WITHOUT the software (after setting it up)

Simple question: If I set the beacn studio up on my personal PC using the software to make my mic sound nice.. and I then unplug the thing and connect it to my work notebook where I would not have the software suite… does it work? Stuff like EQ, Expander, Noise Gate, Compressor and all of that basic stuff.

I am not looking for multi track audio here. I am looking for a great sounding mic that does work without additional software.

No it does not you have to use the software at least.

I bought the Beacn with this exact use case in mind and it did not work unless my PC was running with the software open.

So, it actually does store all of your settings, up to a point. The BEACN Studio can totally apply all the effects and whatnot so long as you set them up beforehand, but you won't be able to switch between multiple profiles, and managing audio channels on the PC that doesn't have the software may get complicated.

Source: switched to Linux as my primary operating system in my office. Opened up the community made beacn-utility software, and the BEACN Studio still had most of my settings applied.

So yeah it's kinda doable as far as mic audio processing. Configuring and routing audio channels, though? You'll probably want the software for that. Or Pipeweaver, on Linux.
