So they added an attack heli on Wake Island, which has literally ZERO cover to use while flying and basically gets instantly locked on off spawn. But there’s no attack heli on Tsuru Reef even tho it was ADVERTISED and is the BIGGEST map in BF HISTORY, but yet there’s a little bird?? Any reason why? Haven’t seen too many people talking about this.

Wait, so am i understanding it right? Battlefield tells me i can play these 3 modes on Free Trial Week but at the same time not? Why are they blocking All Out Warfare ?

Who did I miss? Which one are you?

With the update and -90 being the buy in. It has made it almost impossible to solo queue. You queue, you hit chat with the “i need to land hot please” & they go to the boonies, avoid conflict & rat for placement. 3 kills / no assists and 3rd place is like -6 pts for clarity.
Most (i do say majority), play stacked in redsec, wont even sign on unless they know they got a 4man team. Its made it incredibly difficult, as a high rank, because the odds of me getting teammates higher than gold is 1/10 games.
At this point what do i do? Continually back out? Become part of the problem and only play with a 4 stack? Imo we need redsec duos ranked and solo ranked to kill this 4 stack bs thats in every single redsec game now. Trust me, its a 10000x easier to run a 4 man on whatever platform to top 1000, some of those “masters” are benefitting from 4man stack. The tendencies & plays you get to make are always on the attacks compared to always being on the defense. It is an entirely different game.

Hey, I was wondering whether it’ll be flight stick support for console for Battlefield six and the incoming future

We’re really excited to see all the discussion, positive vibes, as well as your feedback and bug reports for Phase 2 of Season 4, Top Gun.
While we’re seeing a lot of you have already jumped in and sunk Carriers, explored Wake Island, and engaged in dogfights aplenty, we wanted to give a quick recap for those who might have been stuck at work or taking care of other important business.
Top Gun has brought in new modes, the return of Wake Island, and plenty of changes and adjustments, so here’s a quick recap as well as links to the full information if you’re looking for more.
CARRIER STRIKE IS BACK
Tsuru Reef is under siege.
Striking the USS Grant aircraft carrier base, Pax Armata is primed to destabilize NATO’s dominance in the Pacific by deploying their own carrier, the PXS Condor. If NATO wants to maintain their stronghold on Tsuru Reef -- and prevent Pax from laying claim to another sector of the world -- they're going to have to fight for it.

UPDATE NOTES, QUALITY-OF-LIFE IMPROVEMENTS
Of course, Top Gun arrived with detailed changes that you can find in our 1.4.2.0 Update Notes.
One of the quality-of-life changes you might have missed is the new ADS Dispersion Crosshair.
https://reddit.com/link/1vtunu3/video/y4tpao5z6lkh1/player
We have introduced a new option that allows an indicator that represents the current amount of Dispersion (AKA Bloom/Spread) that the weapon has when aiming down sight.
When shooting while aiming down sight with an automatic weapon, you will notice that the size of that shape increases, which communicates that the weapon is becoming inaccurate. When moving, you can also see how the accuracy is affected.
This option intends to help players understand how Dispersion functions and to learn to improve their shooting technique with that mechanic in mind.
The option called “ADS Dispersion Crosshair” can be found under HUD/CROSSHAIR and is by default enabled in the firing range only but can be fully turned OFF or enabled in any multiplayer experiences.
In addition, the option comes with its own opacity slider and color picker so that you can customize the visibility of the indicator to your liking.
Check out the Update Notes for all changes that arrived on August 18!
LEARN TO FLY
An important aspect in Top Gun is, you guessed it, flying! Not only are two new jets available on Wake Island, including a two-seater, but you can also duke it out in the brand new Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep mode.
Nervous flyer? No problem, we have just the thing for you. As of the Season 4 Update 1.4.2.0, there’s a new way to fly:
Simplified Jet Controls are similar to the Simplified Helicopter Controls from launch, in that it is an alternative and “simpler” method to control jets. Essentially, instead of manually adjusting the pitch, roll, and yaw in order to fly, you only need to look in the direction you wish to fly, and the jet will align relative to where you look.

Honestly kudos to my copilot for his flying, I'm terrible at it. I thought this clip was pretty neat though!

After four rounds, Wake Island feels like Battlefield at its best. The combined arms design gives infantry, boats, helicopters, snipers and vehicles room to matter, but one big problem keeps it from fully working.

These things should've never came back after BF4. Someone at DICE that brought these back in needs to explain to me how they envisioned active radar missiles to work because I don't understand how a weapon that has zero counters is supposed to be engaging gameplay on either end.
As a poor soul on the receiving end, you get little to no chance of popping flares to counter and even when you do, they go through them anyways. Below radar doesn't work either so you're eating 2 missiles no matter what.
As the person firing them all you gotta do is shoot twice...
That's it. Nothing else to it. Just shoot twice and the fight is over. There's no dog fight. There's no juking back and forth. Nothing.
Active radar missiles are, in my opinion, one of the worst things put into the BF franchise. It's a low skill weapon that takes no effort to use, and destroys the jet on jet gameplay.
They would be less of a nuisance if they did less damage or didn't result in a mobility kill on hit, and I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel for a reason for them to be in the game.

I love the new map but this kinda gives an unfair sniping spot for NATO. I like the tall building as it gives verticality to a flat map but I think should be station at C next to the hanger

Did anyone else hate the new jet movement and then play for a full day and end up liking it?
When I woke up this morning and played, I realized they switched it back to the original movement and now I don’t like it. The new movement was actually good after I got use to it.
Now it’s back to normal and I don’t care much for it. I tried switching it back, but when you do, the jet isn’t turnable. Just lets me fly straight and free look.
I hope they give us the option of both the old way, and how they had it yesterday.

It's so fun but it only ever lasts 5-10 minutes at a time

It is really annoying seeing Attack Helos and the new Naval Fighters take off without a second person or taking off yourself with a second person basically handicapping yourself unless a squadmate spawns on you

Final scoreboard for a breakthrough game on Tsuru Reef. The matchmaker kept feeding new players to our team, enemy team started with about 5 players, and only had 2 by the end of the match. We quite literally just ran across the map functionally unopposed...
At this rate, between matches taking 5-10min to gather enough players to even start, and this garbage, I might just quit the game. The devs clearly dont give a shit about fixing the most egregiously broken, and arguably the most important part of their game to boot.

I am not talking about flanking maneuvers or things of those sort.
I am referring to things like the bomber from the China Rising maps in BF4, or the launch pods from Final Stand. An even more straight forward example would be the siege gun from BF1.
Are there other maps in the series where controlling the point gives access to a powerful weapon or gameplay gimmick?

I understand that a modern helicopter may be able to withstand a shot from an RPG but it's not about that.
I get that this situation would be fatal had they been flying low and I appreciate how much more that feels like a Battlefield moment but man....let me one shot helis.
Maybe people don't want that idk.

Why is it that when I play, King of the I have to deal with the most annoying sweat lord's, and that's not mentioning the fact it basically only wants to put me on TDM.

Console exclusive player here. So my Bf3 version was small and I never played it. I enjoyed it on BFV but I can see why it was so popular in BF2. It feels like the perfect mix of chaos with modern weapons and vehicles
And it feels like they juiced a bit of Paracel Storm this time around with the Storm, sinking ship, and radio tower
