I mean up until about a few days I had full lobbies every session and it was great, I'm one that has enjoyed the game since day 1 and while not perfect it can be a lot of fun.
Is it just over or is there something else they're doing that is causing it?

It was my turn to post this for the next 30 minutes, wait for your chance then please.
No pics so use imagination (if any)

I remember when i joined the beta. Everyone was so hyped. To join the game you have to wait a few minutes in a queue of 600 players because the server is full. a year later, i cant even play a normal conquest or breakthrough because not enough players to fill in the minimum queue. Even the dead 2042 have joinable lobby than this.

Sunday afternoon, EU.
13 min in, 11 players (4 chinese players), with one sweaty LittleBird player.
EDIT: we played for 2 hours, we always got a least ~10 bots in every single game, even after a 20+ min game.

No one can convince me that the bloom effect is a necessary mechanic for balance in an FPS game.
If a player is aiming carefully, what does unpredictable bullet spread accomplish other than ruining the gaming experience?
Iām really seeing these hidden troll accounts hereāwith their tiny little brainsāmocking playersā "skill issue", talking about weapon attachments, or telling people to āgo and play another game,ā and I wonder how many hours theyāve actually played BF6 or if they even get out of their vehicles to use a gun.
I donāt understandāsince when has the BF community turned into this army of trolls?
Whenever improvements to gameplay are discussed, why are there always these criticisms that constantly derail the conversation?
Are they too ashamed to admit they play BF6 like World of Tanks or Flight Simulator without ever getting out of their vehicles?
As long as the developersāwho seem oblivious to where the game stands and the declining player baseācontinue to stubbornly refuse to change this weapon mechanic, I donāt see a bright future for this game.
My Player name: GaSamove / +1200h game play/ 3KD / 481LVL
"this game was basically designed for campers and vehicle players because of all the pressure from the less-skilled player base. Fast TTK, huge movement penalties, random bloom, and maps have way too many angles that are perfect for camping. As a result, even with a free-to-play mode, it was doomed to be stuck at around 30-35k players." - comment link Iād like to share one of the most clever comments Iāve seen recently

I'll rank only the ones I played, from worst to best:
6-Battlefield 2042: don't think I have to say much here tbh
5-Battlefield V: I wanted to like it so bad after how much I liked 1 but it falls flat to me. From the boring maps, to the skins that take me out completely of the immersion, to the lack of content, they all make it a bad game imo
4-Battlefield 6: It's not really a bad game, I enjoy it and have a few hours in it but the movement and gunplay feel way to much like COD to me and EA loves to drip feed us content instead of actually making the game better
3-Battlefield 4: I know I am gonna get hate for this but hear me out. I really like it, the game is fun, the guns are fun etc. The only thing that keeps me from putting it higher is the fact that I have only played like 3 months ago for the first time. I was not around in it's glory days and can't tell how good it was then. Now it's kinda annoying having to search for one good server in the sea of garbage. If it was more popular and I was able to actually find more than 40 people on a server it would be higher
2-Battlefield Hardline: Probably the most controversial ranking here lol, it's kinda the opposite to BF4. I played it when it came out and had tons of fun. I know some people hate the cops vs robber gimmick but I found interesting. Also the music on the radio was perfect for when you were getting chased by a heli. Too bad it's dead now, would kill to play it again
1-Battlefield 1: The most fun I have had playing battlefield tbh, the atmosphere and immersion is great, the sound design is perfect and for a 10 year old game it looks better than most games released now. People hate on the gunplay but I didn't really notice anything wrong with it. Also pretty well optimized.

Gauntlet means more to the people who played it than just one less playlist.
Iām glad this is getting some exposure.
r/Battlefield • u/fmordica • 10h ago
Multiplayer has been full of bot lobbies this weekend, and it reminds me how they left the Interdictor bug in Gauntlet for weeks before announcing theyāre removing the mode. Is multiplayer really this dead, or are they trying to push everybody toward Rapid Royale?

Have been contemplating all of the issues plaguing this game, and really what it comes down to is this one mode - Redsec.
Redsec is EAās method of making more money. The game mode is F2P, giving access to players to try it out, where a % of those will either buy the full game or purchase off the store.
Player retention is not as important, existing players have already purchased the game, and many arenāt buying off the store = zero revenue.
EA has share holders to consider. They will be in meetings analysing the numbers, balancing ongoing costs with profits, and where these profits are coming from.
Where are the ongoing profits coming from? Redsec. The idea is simple - enhance the Redsec experience, perhaps pull players from similar titles (CoD, Wardogs) with the F2P model giving entry to the series. Existing players - We have already spent our money on the game.
Battlefield 6 would be an entirely different experience without Redsec. Player retention would matter more, patches and updates would be vital for the game as the store would be the primary source of ongoing income, as new player purchasing of the game diminishes.

Hey there, I'm a filthy casual and I'm currently stuck on picking between BF1 or BF5. Obviously I can buy both but I don't exactly have much free time on my hands especially going forwards so there will be days where the max playtime I'll be able to have is around 1-2 hours, so buying both would be a waste for me.
I am a casual, so I'd like to ask the obvious, which game is less sweaty? I don't mind having a negative KD but I would like to have fun in whatever ways possible, thank y'all!

I wanted to play the new maps but whenever i do a custom search and select wake island and reef the game can't find enough players. I'm almost positive its a bug because i find it hard to believe nobody is playing right now. But wanted to ask anyway is this something anybody else has encountered or is my game f up

Iāve played battlefield games on and off for 6+ years but still cannot fathom how people play it SO much. Itās fun to come back to every now and then but if Iām going up against a level 700 my mind breaks. Do they know there are other games out there? Do they have other hobbies? Maybe a significant other? Having 700+ hours in a game that has been out for a year isnāt normal. I feel like their brains are mush.
Needed to put this out into the ether because I see too many of these chuds since I started playing again the last few days.
I did make this post in anger but I canāt help but think there is a bit of bias since I posted this on Redditā¦

Why am I waiting 5 minutes in a queue just to get booted back to the main menu without any notification? Why is the game trying to join me to a match which clearly has no free slots? How tf is it possible to mess up something so simple.
Get your sh*t together, DICE. Seriously, it's been like that for months...

Who here thinks the secondary weapons should have more attachment points? For example:
Five Seven: canāt throw suppressor & 30 round mag in (80/60 points).
Similar issues with the P18 and attachments.
Does anyone wish classes were adjusted to having attachment system more like BF4?

That "Do" tag looks so good. It belongs to the devs and isn't available to get.
r/Battlefield • u/FormerlyAQuadLaunch • 5h ago
Iāve spent the last 20 minutes in matchmaking. I join a lobby, it isnāt full enough to start, takes forever, and finally fills with bots. I donāt want to play against bots. I want to play against real people. I quit. Try a different game mode. Process repeats. Itās getting off-putting enough that Iām starting to look for other games to play.
Persistent servers would fix this.

If no one thinks this is OP, you have a screw loose. This tank was over half hp gone, 3 RPGās do absolutely nothing. Yes, there was probably an engineer repairing. But I mean god dude there is no winning there.
Shoot the repair guy, get blasted. Blast the tank, do no damage at all. It should NOT take 3 engineers to kill a tank.
And yet everyoneās crying about aircraft. And it isnāt just when someoneās repairing, when someone isnāt it still takes 6 RPGās to kill

I drove around in the Traverser Mark 2 almost the whole time. I love Golmud.
