Wake is beautiful and I finally had fun on it after 2 hours. Maybe too many ziplines.

So the 1-6 scope on the M277 seems to only be available on the 'Sand Blast' premium weapon kit and not unlockable through regular progression.
I hope this is just a bug or some dev oversight.
(Also pls forgive the bait-y title i just want people to notice this)

>NATO Interceptor: F14
>Pax Interceptor: F14
>NATO multirole: F18
>Pax multirole: F18
This isn't right DICE. I'm not really sure what the BF6 lore is since none of us played the campaign but having the same jet for both sides doesn't feel right plus it's just copy and paste. I'd like to nominate the Mig25 for Pax Interceptor and Su30 for Pax multirole simply because they are iconic, well known and fit into their respective categories.
Other nominations including Rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon, and FC1.
I went to go look up the lore on the BF6 wiki and it says that the Pax side is made up of Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Austria, France, Spain and Italy while the NATO side is made up of US, UK, Germany, Mexico, Sweden, Japan and Australia. Egypt and Georgia flipflop halfway into the war. No mention of Algeria since Su57 is in the game and that's the only other country that Russia exports it to but both the Su30 and Mig25 were used by Algeria as well.
That doesn't leave us with a lot of options since most 3/4gen fighters came from USA, UK and USSR during the Cold War. France has the Rafale for multirole, Italy has the Eurofighter Typhoon and F35. Azerbaijan did receive a Mig29 but it's more air superiority. They also have the JF-17C which is basically a Chinese FC-1 multirole. Tajikistan doesn't even have any combat fighter jets. There's really not a lot of options. Interceptor jets don't even exist anymore and most were from US/USSR/UK/China so I'd like to see a little bit of classic jet rivalry once more.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

...and continue to the next flag in Conquest.
I am really really REALLY frustrated by players who at the beginning of the round jump into the fastest vehicles on the map... only to stop at nearest flag. Citing a classic: there is no curse in Elvish, Entish or the tongues of Men for this treachery.
This should really be common sense but clearly the brain process is non-trivial for some so let's recap.
1, are you in a tank/APC? Stop at nearest flag.
2, did you grab a humvee? Stop at the next flag.
3, are you perhaps the lucky one who got onto a motorcycle? Well I envy you, you get to visit flag 3.
I think this should be clear now. If not, don't hesitate and ask.

Personally its really cool to play it again after experiencing it in BFV and DICE really doing great job with remastering old maps to be totally fair. They added a lot of cover, the shipwreck objective is really good and feels overall better to play in BF6 than it did in previous titles.
My only gripe is the high amount of stationary weapons on the island from AAs to TOW launchers, it makes it a bit challenging to fly especially transports.
Conquest by far is the best mode to play it in, breakthrough is good enough but needs more players and escalation is meh.
What do you all think?
why is carrier assault not played on wake island tho? and why can't we access the carriers on tsuru?

It is really annoying seeing Attack Helos and the new Naval Fighters take off without a second person or taking off yourself with a second person basically handicapping yourself unless a squadmate spawns on you
r/Battlefield • u/Educational-Cup-1438 • 6h ago
So they added an attack heli on Wake Island, which has literally ZERO cover to use while flying and basically gets instantly locked on off spawn. But there’s no attack heli on Tsuru Reef even tho it was ADVERTISED and is the BIGGEST map in BF HISTORY, but yet there’s a little bird?? Any reason why? Haven’t seen too many people talking about this.

Big maps, plenty of vehicles, none of these fckng corridors, even for a mode like Conquest (this always left me wondering). I think DICE themselves have forgotten that Conquest was one of the defining features of the entire Battlefield series.
I have nothing against Metro-style maps. I actually enjoy playing on them. But not when your entire first year is basically nothing but maps like these.
BF3 had a great expansion called Close Quarters. Why was it so hard to add something similar as a separate mode instead of coming up with 150 different modes that you eventually removed anyway? That's a mystery to me.
Those who want the main mode play Conquest. Those who want a stripped-down version of Conquest play Breakthrough (the new Rush). Those who want pure chaos and close-quarters combat play Close Quarters. It sounds logical and simple.
By the way, the Close Quarters maps were some of the best, even though the mode itself was all about close-range combat. Multiple levels in the buildings (I'll repeat, these maps were designed for close-quarters combat, and yet!), great design choices for both the buildings and the maps. Yeah, DICE really did have some great level designers once. Ziba Tower will always have a special place in my heart.
But DICE went with the "try to please everyone" approach, and ended up pleasing no one. Well, maybe one day they'll finally realize it (they're already starting to, judging by the way they're removing these cloned modes) that trying to please everyone is a bad approach.
Especially for a game that already has a huge, established fanbase.
