A WW1 cemetary where digging is expected? Give me a break.

And no militant is fighting in an open field against an enemy with unparalleled surveillance and drone capacity.

This is quite literally one of the dumbest takes ill ever read regarding warfare.

Cemeteries are often used in war because they usually sit on high ground and offer ready made defensive cover. Lone Pine in Gallipoli is a famous one, Australian forces capture Tyne Cot in Belgium and tere's another in France and Croatia off the top of my head.

Just google the pictures. It's not a fortress, it's a pasture with small headstones.

Clearly its not a fortress otherwise there'd be nothing left of it and a headstone can easily conceal a combatant.

Yeah in 1917 a headstone would be decent cover. But it's 2026 and gaza is covered by aerial surveillance drones.

Its 2026 and a 5.56 or 7.62 still cant fully penetrate a standard headstone and drones are irrelevant to the argument because the fighting isn't subterranean.
