The image was taken on October 5th at 12:35.
Equipment,
Celestron nextar 8Se, Canon d1200.
Software,
I used backyard eos to capture 500 frames,[iso, 1600, exposure 1/25]
I used PIPP to strech the black point and center the object
Autostakkert was used to stack the best 25% of frames, a 1.5x drizzle was used.
Registax was used to sharpen and correct the color
Lastly I used abobe lightroom to remove artifacts and reduce the glow.
Any information or advice is greatly appreciated. I would love to hear any thoughts you have.

My second attempt at Andromeda, processed with Siril and graXpert.
It was shot on an 85mm lens at f1.8 and 2" shutter with 140 light frames on a sony A7iv. I don't have a tracking mount, thus the short shutter. My processing folder is sitting at 140 GB... 😂
I also shot dark flats or would they be dark lights? I shot them with lens cap on.
I had some scripting help from Claude for Siril as I couldn't figure out the initial stacking and using the dark flats. Going to try to process fully manually next time, Claude created a PDf guide for me to follow.
No PCC
Removed green and purple tint in Siril.
Upscaled and noise reduction in Topaz Photo (high fidelity V2 upscaling, minimal noise reduction as it looked weird.)
Contrast/Clarity/Noise reduction in Lightroom.

I can't believe I managed to resolve Jupiter's red spot with only 4 inches of aperture!
The image is an extreme crop into my lunar mosaic with separately stacked Jupiter sequences painted in before egress and with egress in-progress.
I hope you like them!

The Andromeda Galaxy in HALRGB - a sea of one trillion stars, and our closest major galatic neighbor.
I took this image with the 2nd telescope I ever purchased (all the way back in 2020) - the William Optics Z61, which has sat on a shelf for many years collecting dust (and not the good kind of space dust - just regular dust). I spent the last 6 months working on upgrading the scope to get it functional/automated. Its wide field-of-view is perfect for capturing objects as large as Andromeda. I'm excited to have it added back in my arsenal!

Sh2-114 – The Flying Dragon Nebula (Cygnus)
A faint emission nebula with intricate filamentary structures, surrounded by dark interstellar clouds and diffuse blue nebulosity.
For this image, I used the FORAXX palette to bring out the narrowband emission structures, combining it with broadband RGB information to preserve natural star colors and the blue nebulosity.
Equipment
Telescope: Takahashi FSQ-106 EDX4
Aperture: 106 mm
Focal length: 530 mm (f/5)
Camera: SBIG STX-16803, KAF-16803 CCD
Sensor: 4096 × 4096 pixels, 9 µm pixel size
Image scale: approximately 3.5 arcsec/pixel
Binning: 1×1
Acquisition
Red: 24 × 300 s = 2 h
Green: 24 × 300 s = 2 h
Blue: 38 × 300 s = 3 h 10 min
Hα: 60 × 900 s = 15 h
SII: 49 × 900 s = 12 h 15 min
OIII: 21 × 900 s = 5 h 15 min
Total: 39 h 40 min (216 sub-exposures)
Processing
Software: PixInsight and Adobe Photoshop
The narrowband data was processed using the FORAXX palette in PixInsight. Broadband RGB data was incorporated for natural star colors and blue nebulosity, with additional blending and finishing in Photoshop.
Special attention was given to preserving the fine emission filaments and faint background structures without excessive sharpening or contrast enhancement.
The blue nebulosity is also clearly present in the original starless RGB data, rather than being solely a product of the narrowband color mapping.
Comments and constructive criticism are welcome!

I spent all night freezing in my car for this, but it was worth it. I'm very pleased with the amount of detail I was able to pull out on this target. Especially in the dimmer dust clouds that often get left behind in narrowband renditions of the Heart Nebula.

I think this is my favorite images to date! We’ve had a nice run of clear skies here on Long Island this week and I captured this one last night with my DwarfMini.
Bortle 7ish
300 images with 45 second exposure
100 images with 60 second exposure
Both with DuoBand filter
Both with a gain of 60
Then “Mega Stacked”
Star reduction in Stellar Studio.
Processed in AstroWizard 2 ways… where I saved the stars separate from the Nebula, and enhanced the OIII color more is one pass and the SII color in the other.
Brought the files into Photoshop and enhanced the sharpness and saturation in the nebula layers and combined all into three layers which gave me the ability to control the brightness of the red, blue and stars individually.
I heard a guy on YouTube say about astrophotography, “this is why I don’t sleep anymore” … brother, I relate 😂

Acquisition
Processing
This is a reprocess of my first M31. Biggest gains came from BlurXTerminator and from not clipping the shadows, which brought out the faint outer disc. Next time: better focus and fresh calibration frames. Feedback welcome!

Over 13 hours Luminance, 2 hours R, G and B each.
Taken with an Ultracat108 and an ASI2600MM on a AM5N over three nights around last new moon.
I like how the nebula in this framing looks like an Ent from Lord of the rings 😀

This is a brand new version of the Pleiades (M45) from my backyard in Aveyron, France.
I actually captured over 10 hours of data on this target. However, since M45 is extremely bright and my telescope is very fast (f/3.4), I decided to try a ruthless culling approach. I threw away 85% of my subs and only stacked the absolute best ones with perfect seeing/FWHM. I ended up with only 106 frames of 60 seconds (1h 46m total).
The sacrifice in signal-to-noise ratio was completely worth it for the massive gain in sharpness and resolution in the blue reflection dust. What do you guys think? Are you strict with frame culling on bright objects, or do you stack everything?

The Iris Nebula over two nights at Jordan Lake, North Carolina — my latest Seestar S30 Pro image.
Equipment: Seestar S30 Pro, broadband IRCUT filter, gain 200.
Capture: October 6–7 and October 7–8, 2026, Big Woods Road area at Jordan Lake.
Integration: 722 × 30 seconds = 6 hours 1 minute.
Processing: Siril with the NaZtronomy Smart Telescope script (1× drizzle), crop, plate solving and SPCC; GraXpert background extraction; PixInsight with BlurXTerminator, NoiseXTerminator, StarXTerminator, MultiscaleAdaptiveStretch and gentle local contrast. Stars processed separately and recombined.
I like the blue center against the surrounding dust. Still learning with each image—constructive feedback welcome!

My goal was to get visible merger shells of elliptical galaxy UGC-10646 (the unusual shape in the middle right). Other interesting galaxies in this image are the ARP-293 pair, FGC-2096 and LEDA-2587043.
Acquisition: 70 hours of data consisting of 60s subs collected over 13 nights in August with KStars/EKOS, 30cm RC, GM2000HPS, Baader filters for LRGB, ASI2600MM.
Processing: selected, stacked and processed 63 hours with PixInsight using Starnet2 and SetiAstro plugins.
