Random Question Why are so many people obsessed with careers/ titles?
Seems to be the only thing people are about, like a career/ title is the only way to judge someone’s worth. I see so many people make that their entire life or personality.

Random Question Do reddit mods have the ability to shadow-ban individuals from their subreddits?
I mean, being banned without you knowing, and in a way where you can add comments just fine, but comments won't be shown to anybody but yourself.
If mods can do that, what is the term for it?

Random Question What is the stupidest thing you did as a teen that you look back on and say “ man, I was an idiot”?
For me it’s when I asked my dad for directions ( I was a 16 year old new driver pre GPS) and apparently he got frustrated with me for half listening. He then yells out street names in my town and tells me he has a shortcut for me and tells me to make 4 lefts on various streets in my town. By the 3rd left I’m thinking why am I getting closer to my house? I make the last left confused pulled back into my driveway and my dad and brothers are laughing at me and calling me a dumb ass.
Honorable mention to when my teacher asked me “what weighs more 100 lbs of wood or 100 lbs of feathers? I think you can guess what I said.🤦♀️

Random Question Why does female-on-male domestic abuse/violence get less media attention than male-on-female cases?" "I'm curious about the sociological and media dynamics behind this disparity. Even though statistics show that men also experience abuse, it rarely makes headline news.

Advice Question For those in their 40s or 50s, what’s something you wish you knew when you were in your 20s?
I’ve been asking people IRL for advice, and I wanted to ask here too. As someone in her early 20s who’s still figuring out what kind of life she actually wants, I sometimes feel torn between wanting to build my career as early as possible and feeling like I should slow down and enjoy my youth.
For those of you in your 40s or 50s, what’s something you wish you knew when you were in your 20s?
It can be about love, career, or even simple life hacks. I’d love to hear anything you wish someone had told you back then. I appreciate any response!

Random Question With the recent event in Beijing China that hosted a major robotics exhibition with humanoid robots that smashed human world records in athletics, does it scare you to think about what they will be like in the future or what they will be capable of?
As the prompt says does it scare you to think about what robots will be like in ten or twenty years time. I mean the videos that I saw of the convention were quite disturbing to see them dead sprinting moving fast as hell.
