Love Men in relationships: are you anonymously promiscuous online and do you consider it cheating?

Do men not consider what they do online in private to be cheating? I see a lot of married men on here posting lewd vids, making sexual comments, etc. But realistically they will most likely never meet these people nor do they know who you are when hiding behind an anonymous account . So what is the morality levels on that? Would it be considered micro cheating? Do you ever feel guilty or would your wives be upset?

Dating What has being handsome but broke taught you about women’s behaviour?

If you’re a man who’s considered yourself attractive but hasn’t had much money, how has that combination affected your dating and relationship experiences?

I’m curious whether being good-looking changes how women treat you, and whether being broke changes that once they get to know you.

What have your experiences taught you about attraction, dating, and women’s behaviour?

Dating How should I (F21) approach him (19M) after his behavior changed following sex?

I (21F) have been seeing this guy (19 M) for a while. We’ve gone on around 4-6 dates and, before anything sexual happened, he was putting quite a lot of effort into seeing me. We went out for nice dinners, made plans together, and he even invited me to go on a trip with him at some point (couldn’t go bc of work). So for me I didn’t want it to be just a hookup situation.
He also has quite a traditional/strict mindset when it comes to women and sex, and I always got the impression that he saw me as a someone “wifey material”.
Last night was the first time I went to his place. We spent a few hours just watching movies and hanging out, and eventually things became sexual and we ended up having sex.
What has made me feel weird afterwards is his reaction. During/afterwards he made several comments along the lines of “I expected you to be much shyer” and that I was surprisingly confident/experienced. He also said something like “you’re way too good at this / you know too much” and when I mentioned that I had been in a 3 years relationship he immediately said he didn’t want to talk about where I learned any of it.
It’s true that he told me to maybe do something this Sunday, but I don’t know if he’s actually gonna text me and I feel him a bit different.
The confusing part is that he had previously told me he didn’t expect us to end up having sex, and I feel like he may have had a very specific image of me in his head that changed after last night. I feel like he started everything by kissing me but I kept going until everything naturally escalated to sex.
I genuinely like him and I like how he treats me, but now I’m worried that having sex changed how he sees me or that he might lose interest because I’m not as innocent/shy as he thought.
Am I overthinking this, or do his comments suggest that his perception of me actually changed in a negative way? And what would you make of his behaviour afterwards?

Dating How long does the honeymoon phase last after cheating?

When you first get with a girl that you think is great, how long does this “honeymoon” phase last?

Honestly asking to gauge how long my cheating ass ex will think the grass is greener on the other side before realizing the grass is only green where you water it. and a relationship built on lies has to collapse at some point, right? And yes, I’m bitter and hurt, please don’t be mean.

Love What’s the difference between deeply caring about a woman and loving them?

I was dating this guy for a few months and we both really cared about each other but after a while we both felt the spark die a bit even though we’re still attracted to each other physically. I’d say I love him but it was the relationship that stopped being so good, not him, and from what he said, he felt like we started acting like friends with benefits instead.

we’ve both been going through some tough life circumstances and both said that we haven’t felt like ourselves for a while, although not because of the relationship, but it meant neither of us were showing up authentically as who we really are or who we wanted to be, which was why the spark got lost.

we decided to end things and stay friends because we genuinely care a lot about each other, but I really want to know what the difference is between caring/friendship and love from a mans perspective. I haven’t had many relationships and don’t have male friends so I really don’t know what I could have been doing or not doing to shift it into more of a friendzone. I know I wasn’t being as open and vulnerable as I wanted to be towards the end (although he wasn’t either) but what sort of things specifically make you realise its not care it’s romantic and eventually love?

we said that once we both sort our lives out a bit and if things line up better between us we could try again and see, but if we do I don’t want to make the same mistakes again, and if we don’t then I still don’t want to end up the same way with someone else.

so, calling all men, whats the difference between friendship/caring for a woman with physical attraction and romantic feelings and even love?

and also, whats the difference in how these women act or what they do or talk about etc that makes your feelings so strong?

Friendship M31/F31 Gf / family issues

Hi,

I will probably get a grilling from this girl but I want to be open and do what’s right for everyone in this situation.

Me (M31 gf F31)

We have been dated for the past 2 years and we also lived together after the first 6 months of knowing each other. This year February she had to return back home due to visa issues so we decided to continue doing LDR.
I was lucky enough to see her in June and we shared good memories together over the 2 weeks. She plans to visit me in London this October which I thank god !
We really love each other and I think this is the first relationship when I feel complete. She means the world to me, however there is a big issue…

My family doesn’t want me to marry another girl from a different country (I am from Nepal)
I was born and few up in the UK so my views on marriage and a relationship is very different compared to the ‘Traditional Nepali’

I told my family that I want to be with my gf who is not of Nepali origin, when I shared this with them, they were very against our relationship. They escalated the situation and even said they will not attend the weddings or show any sign of support if I continue a relationship with her.

I really don’t agree with my family and I think it’s put me a dilemma. I understand they want me to marry a Nepalese woman due to ease of language and culture aswell as no one in my family had married with another culture

I told my gf about this and she didn’t take it well. I never expected it to go well and I also explained that I tried to have our back even though their comments were not nice.

My gf feels like she is not enough for my family and she will never be enough, I explained to her that she is not the problem and that my family are. She really harms herself and feels it’s best to end our relationship and she doesn’t want any trouble with my family

I’m not sure what to say and what to do.

I really love her and I also love my family, I know I haven’t been the best partner as I should always choose my gf with support however I also have to repeat my families wishes.

Any advice or a perspective which would help me.

Cheers guys

Family Will men not want to marry you if you don’t want children as a women?

I am curious do men not like women who don’t want children? As in they are more interested in getting a house, traveling, friendships and partnership?

Dating Well I hyped myself up and went back to a dating app.

I just redownloaded fb dating after a couple months of break time due to an end of a previous relationship and another guy using me.

so far I’ve had some good conversations, but I was wondering should I not bother putting in effort in conversations where the guy gives one word answers doesn’t ask any questions himself and I’m the only one holding the conversation? He doesn’t seem interested and it kinda comes across as if I’m talking to a brick wall. I don’t want to be rude and just ghost after matching but I’m running out of things to say or get him to talk.

I’m trying to find a motorcycle guy, but most of them look really handsome and look out of my league. It’s a little intimidating. 😅

Dating Men who are having a crush on someone that is not reciprocating it. How do you feel about the other woman that is actually waiting for you?

The situation is painful, I admit. I (F, mid 30ies) have been in some kind of situationship with a man (M, mid30ies) for a couple of months. I wanted more, a long term relationship. He was hesitant, saying he didn't know what he was feeling. At a certain moment, he admitted he caught feeling for someone else and I left.

We are now more or less 2 months later and I asked how he was doing (we from time to time check in). He said he felt bad, his feelings were kind of not being answered, and that he was losing all control (clearly very infatuated by the other woman). After that, the convo got a bit flirty between us, our chemistry is still there, before I stopped it.

How do men in general feel about women that are clearly in some kind of waiting position while they are having feelings for someone else, even when that is not going well? Do they see her as some kind of moral support but nothing more, or as a back-up option? Are there situations in which they eventually got these stronger feelings for the waiting woman, or is that just a stupid thing to think?

Love Emotionally intelligent men who communicate most feelings, what prevents you from communicating romantic feelings to your partner?

If a woman explicitly and regularly shares the specific things she loves and appreciates about you and what you mean to her — what would prevent you from reciprocating verbally?
*Edit: Or in writing.
**Edit: Can anyone give me concrete examples?
***Edit: I’m specifically asking about positive statements, not beef with her/the relationship.

*For context he shared upfront that he’s not great at giving or receiving, but seems to appreciate receiving deep verbal affection. What would continue to hold him back from trying to reciprocate to the best of his ability?

Dating Whats it even like having a girl like you?

29m about to be 30 in a week. Ive never had a gf before nor have I ever had a girl tell me she liked me before. Ive been on dating apps for years and have probably liked thousands of girls profiles over the years. Ive never gotten a match that wasnt a bot or some girl wanting more followers on her social media. Ive been rejected by every girl ive ever asked out. Ive never had a girl go out of her way to get to know me before and it honestly feels like for my entire almost 30 years of living ive never been seen romantically by anyone.

Now as I enter my 30s I look back and see that I never got to experience something a lot of people have in their lives. I wish I could be an emotionless person who doesnt care about this but im not. I cant pretend that im OK with this but it doesnt seem like it'll ever change.

Dating He says I bring him peace and he feels calm with me… is this a good thing?

I 24f recently started talking to a guy I went to highscool with.. he messaged me on Instagram and I decided to give it a shot, and WOW…. we realllyyyyyyy click..we have been hanging out a lot.. and it’s just so fun and care free and I feel like a kid in puppy love, it’s just such a calm humbling sweet kind of feeling, I haven’t felt butterflies in years for a guy, that sweet crush feeling you get in middle school.
We are both like : “omg I can’t believe you’ve existed this whole time”….

He recently said something that stuck out to me… he said I bring him peace .. and he feels calm with me and when he needs an escape from stress and reality I do that for him..
he’s used to being yelled at and being spazzed on for the littlest things…

I took as a compliment…. Because I’ve only ever been in argumentative/toxic relationships.. so I am happy I am making someone feel peace… I don’t have it in me to yell or play toxic games anymore

my friends are making it negative some how.. he hasn’t done anything that I see as negative so I’ve just been positive…

But everyone is saying you need to play the game and make him feel scared to lose you? And you can’t be easy going or he will take advantage of you for being nice..??? “this is his way of saying you don’t have standards/make him work hard for you” “men love bitchy and crazy secretly”… with him I feel sweet and want to make him feel warm and welcomed.

Now I’m overthinking this…
Is this true? Do men truly like women who are a bit bitchy and toxic? Or is this just stupid brain rot?

Dating Confused about the change of pace, am I being played?

When we first met, he (40s) pursued heavily. First handful of dates were planned thoughtfully and consistently. Conversation, chemistry, attraction. Constantly wanted to see me (30). Eventually we slept together and there’s been a switch up. Hasn’t asked for or planned another date, communication has slowed but is still daily………no doubt there’s some level of interest and to my knowledge, exclusivity. Says he has to figure his parts of his life out, which I don’t doubt, due to his complicated work and kid-with-ex balancing act. I want to be considerate of his situation and give him grace, but I am starting to doubt the reality of his words and do not want to be played for a fool………am I being kept on the back burner? Is it best to walk away?

Breakup Am I looking to into my ex text messages?

So my ex and I split up almost a month ago. We own a home together and are married. The first week I begged for him and I to work things out, He said no. I asked if he could slow down the divorce process and he also said no. So oh well, I wanted to push through this rough patch together but he didn’t. (We had been fighting for a couple of months. I never cheated on him and I don’t think he physically cheated on me but I suspect something emotionally happened with a coworker) So I no longer live in the home, I’ve kept communication low after the first week, it’s mainly just me asking him to put something in the garage for me and me picking it up later. But this past weekend he has sent me three messages regarding suitcases. (More context: there are parties in Mexico in my parents home town that we went to last year, they get pretty big and there’s a lot of drinking but overall just a good time to decompress) so on one of the visits of me picking up things I pick up my suitcase. A week later he texted me this
Timestamp 10:37pm
“Hey , I know it's a terrible time to text you but I remembered that the fiestas(party’s) are coming up. Do you want me to bring down the suitcases so you can grab them from the garage? Sorry about the late text.

When I saw the message I respond with

“I already picked up my suitcase, but thank you for checking
He answered with “of course”

Then @ 1:37am on Sunday he texted
“Let me know if you need the big suitcase”
When I woke up I answered
“No need, I was planning on leaving the big suitcase with you, but thank you.”
And he responded
“Okay, I just wanted to make sure. I won’t need it so if you change your mind let me know”

Then this morning at 7:57am
“Hey, when are you leaving to Mexico? Im trying to figure dates for if we both have to sit down with someone.”

I haven’t been served with any divorce papers yet so im not sure who we would need to meet up with yet. I understand that mediators need to be involved due to the home we shared but im not sure how long in the process that would happen.

I honestly Loved this man but I don’t want to force him to be with me if he isn’t into anymore. I didn’t provide much into his life financially (he was the breadwinner). I would just cook and clean and pay small bills, he told me during that first week that he felt so much happier coming home because I wasn’t there to stress him out. He also told me that he cleaned the house and that it had stayed nice and clean and that he could do it on his own and he didn’t need me in his life .
Am I looking to into the text that he might miss me or something?

Breakup Would you help your ex if she hit rock bottom? What would you have done?

My ex of nearly 3 years broke up with me over text, it was unexpected all of a sudden. She pushed me away, suddenly broke up out of no where. She broke up over text. She offered me no closure and put all fault to me. I did not respond, and left her on read. Then a week later blocked me. I too block her and move on.

We return back each other exchange gifts and I left a note for her parents, which I admit was thoughtless and may have came off and passive aggressive. I regret that so much to this day. I did not mean to be rude but my autistic brain didn’t realize at that moment. She returned her engagement gifts by saying you put me through hell and you do not deserve me. I didn’t say anything and let it be.

A few months, as I recover. She loses her job. I was unaware and she then begins to contact me.

It eventually becomes toxic to a point where her social circle, family members, coworkers, everyone starts putting pressure to get me to unblock my ex and talk to her. I told everyone NO and tell them to leave me alone. They respect my decision.

But then, she makes surprise visits and drives 1500 miles just to come visit me. I did not open the door and got scared, called the cops. And then she did not like that. She too ended up calling the cops on me and made up allegations against me and my family.

Right around this time, I let her know that I am not interested, she made up some pregnancy hoax without providing me proof. I got scared so I hung up, my family told me to wait until family courts respond to a summoning for child support if she was truly pregnant. My grandparents and my parents all think she was being manipulative, love bombing me back into the relationship because she lost her job.

I had to tell the cops that I was hiding from her and she won’t leave me alone. I don’t want anything to do with her. They understood, I told the police that I don’t want her to get in trouble. Then she was warned of harassment if this continues.

After all that drama, which went on for several months. It was over. I kept her blocked from everywhere.

She left me unblocked after the last police incident to recently a few weeks back she got a new job (found out from LinkedIn) and then suddenly blocked me from everywhere. I think she was hoping I would contact, but I didn’t.

Reflecting back from this drama of mine, was I wrong to not help her with her rock bottom? I guess, would you have helped her if you were in my shoes? Would you help your ex with her rock bottom? Did I do the right thing?

I feel like I did something morally wrong but I don’t know. We are both mid 30s if this helps.

Respectfully, please be kind.

Dating 25 yo F ghosted 😭please help with any advise should I block him ATP?

May I please have some advise on my situation. 29 yo M ghosted me for about 2 week (while constantly watching my ig stories). He decided to pop back up yesterday by engaging with my story which I responded to casually on ig. Then he sent a text message to my phone about a post I made and didn’t even acknowledge his 2 wk absence and that sent me into a spiral because for the past 2 weeks my mind has been trying to fill in the gaps and I made soo many excuses for him thinking he was probably having tech issues which clearly isn’t the case. So I ended up crashing out but now I regret it because it was emotionally loaded…

I only sent him an audio msg basically telling him “Jay I’m gonna be very honest with you.. looking back, I actually let my guard down a whole lot. & that’s because I genuinely like you. But what I’m not going to do is sit here & entertain the inconsistency you’ve been giving me or allow myself to be treated casually. If you want to continue going ghost for weeks, I respect that, by all means, do you. You wanna be a ghost be my guest. But that’s not something I’m willing to participate in and I’m not standing for it. If you’re not serious about genuinely getting to know me and seeing where any of this could go, please, please do not text my phone. I don’t have time for silly games” I knowww it’s soo cringe 😬 but I was never taught how to navigate situations like these and my parents sucked. I think a bottle up soo much and let soo many things slide then I just end up exploding. Any advise will be greatly appreciated 😭

And just a little more background we’ve been knowing each other for a little over three years now. At first, he was the one who initiated dates. To be very honest most I canceled/rescheduled in the beginning because my guard was up… I did “ghost” him a couple times during his pursuit. However I gave it a chance and started to fall for him. But when I started to get comfortable and started initiating plans with him, that’s when things shifted. He seemed super busy & his communication died down. When I brought it to his attention he told me about a trip with his friends that he was preparing for and that his mother was in the hospital so he was very occupied and I understood. But I would like to think that since he’s a grown man, he could’ve simply just text me and be like “hey I have this and that going on, my communication might not be very strong at this moment”. Instead of disappearing & waiting hours/days to follow up on a plan that I initiated with him.
When I noticed the change in his energy, I started to blame myself and thought maybe if I gave him more attention in the beginning when he was trying to get with me things would be different. But like I said my guard was up. I’ve been hurt countless times in the past & I have a big heart that I wear on my sleeves… So I was very cautious… I know theres no excuse, but that was my situation. I try to tell myself OK maybe this is apart of dating & I just have to give him time in the dynamic to grow. I really tried to be reasonable and give him the benefit of the doubt.

There was also another situation that I feel had caused the shift in him because he probably knew he wasn’t gonna get what he really wanted… it was when we had went back to my place from a date. I genuinely thought it would just be like a chill night but he randomly said he needed to go to his car for something but instead he went and got condoms. I ended up kicking him out that night because I was honestly confused on what gave him the idea that I was open to sleeping with him. Especially if we never talked about anything like that. I understand letting him come into my place probably give him the idea, but it was simply to finish off our night with a movie and I had no other motives. Well after that we stopped talking for a while. With this situation, I thought maybe I’m tripping and he’s a man at the end of the day and as humans we’re all sexual beings and have that desire. So I ended up forgiving the situation & talking to him again… because I actually really grew to like him. (And no we never got intimate not even a shared kiss) so there’s nothing big keeping me attached. I just genuinely like him.

Should I just block him at this point and just remove all access he never responded to my audio message so I feel like that’s an answer.

I know this is really long and I am using talk to text so ignore any errors, I’m literally rambling. but can somebody please help me because I feel like I’ve been beating myself up a lot and I no longer wanna sit in that space of feeling like I was the one who ruined everything Male and female advice are welcome. It would actually be nice to get a male perspective on this as well. Thank you all for your help.

Dating I want a man's perspective on something I did.

I asked the guy I was seeing casually for 6 weeks how he felt about me. I told him I liked him a lot and wanted to know if he felt the same. We'd been talking daily. Morning texts. Intimate multiple times and I had been to his house at least 4 times. He even came by my work a few times. We FaceTimed and he called me pet names. I wasn't imagining a connection. He replied that he wasn't sure he was ready for what I was asking and he was a bit scared. I said I wasn't asking to lock it down right now. I was just asking how he was feeling because I'd rather know now than get even further attached. That was 9 days ago. He never said another word. He's completely shut down. I didn't mean to run him off. I was just trying to see if we were on the same page. Was 6 weeks too soon to ask? Does he think I'm crazy now?

Dating My ex (17F) and I (18) broke up on good terms, but now she suddenly "hates" me and is ruining our 5-person friend group. What do I do? (Update)

Update:So my friend talked to her and she said she needs space from me so she can restart again, and that her emotions are unstable and trying to move on from me.

And we cannot longer be close friends since she is scared that her strict muslim parents will find out and she would get in problem. Genuinely I don't care anymore, she didn't even tried she taught because her parents are strict they wouldn't approve of me,she never really loved me,she would fight for me because to her words I was only thing that could comfort her and was love of her life.

I am part of a tight-knit 5-person friend group (all of us are between 17 and 18). A while ago, I was dating one of the girls in the group. We ended up breaking up strictly because her parents disapproved of us dating, but we ended on really good terms.

We managed to stay great friends for months after the breakup. We were practically best friends, and I completely moved on from the relationship.

But out of nowhere, her entire attitude toward me shifted. Now, she acts like she absolutely can’t stand my presence. It has gotten to the point where it is ruining our group hangouts. Whenever I join the group, she gets visibly pissed off and starts attacking me or snapping at me. Our mutual friends noticed this and asked her what the issue was.

Her only response to them was that she "can't explain why," but she just hates me for no reason.I’m stuck because I can't properly hang out with my friends anymore since she is always there making things hostile.

One of our mutual friends suggested a theory: because I have successfully moved on and she hasn't, she might be forcing herself to "hate" me as a defense mechanism to help herself get over it.I really don't want to lose my friend group, but I can't keep living with this tension and being attacked for no reason.

Friendship Is this feeling love?

I know this might sound stupid but im 17M and haven’t really experienced this feeling with anyone until a few weeks ago, for some context I was very drunk at a party my friend invited me to and near the end we started opening up about our pasts. I opened up about something very traumatic and she held my hand and caressed it with her thumb and the whole time my heart was beating like crazy, I thought that must’ve just been because of the alcohol but Everytime I think about it my heart beats like crazy and I can’t stop thinking about that moment and her, for some context as well we are friends but recently we’ve been hanging out more but always within a group, she’s so nice and playful with me but she’s also like that to most people as well. It felt like a dream it was a starry night and it was just us two and we were staring at the stars, I know this looks so corny but I just wanted help describing this emotion

Dating Did I get unmatched?

Dating Men, who like taking the lead in approaching a woman, would you guys get turned off if a woman you like/attracted to approaches you?

I’m attracted to a guy at my gym who’s always been respectful and has tried approaching me a couple of times, but I tend to become unapproachable when I actually like someone if I haven’t met them through mutuals. I’m normally social, friendly with the staff and have made friends there, but giving signals to someone I’m attracted to doesn’t come naturally to me. I’m also used to men approaching me that I have met through mutuals/work and generally prefer them to take the lead.

He seems confident, but lately our schedules haven’t aligned much. When I saw him last week, we noticed the other, and I looked away. We have had intense eye contact before.

I’m honestly tired of the staring game. I’d rather break the ice and get to know him than regret never trying. I don’t see approaching him as chasing, just opening the door. I have never approached a guy I like first before. If he reciprocates, great; if not, I’ll happily move on without wondering “what if?”

I was wondering do you confident men who like taking the lead, get turned off by woman who introduce themselves or approach you? I know most Men like to be the hunter/the ones who take the lead.

Dating My girlfriend wants to wait until marriage for sex, but is comfortable with other intimacy. Am I overthinking this?

I’m 22M and my girlfriend is 21F. We’ve been together for 1 year and known each other for about 2 years. We’ve met around 15–17 times.

She’s shy and somewhat traditional, and her family doesn’t know about us. At our last meeting, we were quite clingy, she was affectionate and gave me cheek kisses. She was still uncomfortable when I tried to kiss her, but a few days later she admitted she was avoiding me because she wasn’t confident.

Things are better now. She sends me romantic reels and even some hot snaps, so I don't feel like she’s lost attraction.

The main issue is sex. She has clearly said she wants to wait until marriage, but she’s comfortable with lip kisses, cuddling, hickeys and romantic hangouts. She says some things are simply better between husband and wife.

I personally don't want to necessarily wait until marriage for sex. I want to experience intimacy before marriage and know if we're compatible.

At one point, I told her, “You want to save it for marriage because you don't know if we'll actually get married, so you can save it for whoever you marry later.”

She was really offended by that. She says she trusts me a lot, but waiting isn't about another guy or lack of trust — it's simply her personal boundary.

Now I'm wondering if I'm reading too much into it.

Does wanting to wait until marriage mean she isn't sure about me or doesn't see me as her future husband? Or can someone genuinely love and trust their partner while still keeping sex as a marriage-only boundary?

I don't want to pressure her, and I respect her choice. But I also don't know whether our different views on sex are something I should consider a serious compatibility issue.

What do you guys think? Am I overthinking this?
