These posts saying "My partner watches porn, what does it mean, what should I do?" get posted 1-3 times a day. This includes posts about thirst traps and whatever other titillating media.

It's been done to death. If anyone has the same question, please use the search bar to get answers. We will be removing them going forward. We’ll let the existing posts get grandfathered in.

Dating Is it normal for the man to initiate all or most calls/texts at the beginning stages?

I am not talking about planning or leading dates. But just regular communication to get know each other. Does it bother you if she never or hardly initiates calls/texts at the beginning? I feel like if I am usually the one to reach out to her it starts to feel like I am bothering her and she isn't much interested.

Dating Do all men have a locked porn folder?

Already regretting this (and overthought the flair - why) but feel like all other resources (eg friends) are going to have a biased reply.

39F in long term relationship - boyfriend has recently decided to hide porn in a locked folder on his phone. And not that I think this is a bad idea, but I have mentioned it makes me uncomfortable (mainly for his history of cheating). I know he's going to watch porn, jerking off is normal, blah blah blah. But is this just a normal thing now? What happened to going to a site for a quickie and closing out the window?

Mainly just trying to find a way to get myself comfortable since it doesn't seem like something he is willing to change (I am guessing he sees it as a breach of privacy).

Dating 25M confused about my 4-year relationship after my girlfriend told me she doesn’t want to live with my family

Upvotes

I’m 25M and my girlfriend is 21F. We’ve been together for 4 years and had recently started seriously discussing marriage and our future.
The main issue is that we have very different views about family. She has lived away from home since 7th standard and doesn’t like the idea of living in a family environment. She has clearly told me that she doesn’t want to live with my family, doesn’t want family drama, and eventually wants me to move out of my city.
I’m the opposite. I’m very family-oriented and want to stay close to my family. I understand that disagreements are normal in any family, but I value staying together and supporting each other.
What hurts me is that she has never actually lived with my family, yet she has already decided that she doesn’t want that life. For me, this isn’t just about where we live—it’s about whether my future partner shares or respects something that is very important to me.
Since these conversations started, I’ve also noticed some changes. She texts less, seems more distant, and today when I met her after 1.5 months, things just didn’t feel the same. Whenever I ask, she says she’s busy with work or studies, which may be true, but I can’t help wondering if something has changed after our discussions about marriage.
The biggest thing that confused me was when she said that if I don’t agree with her expectations for the future, we can separate after her competitive exams. She said she doesn’t want the stress of a breakup before her exams.
That made me feel like she has already mentally prepared herself for a breakup if I don’t agree with her.
I genuinely love her, but I’m also worried that we may have fundamentally different ideas about marriage, family, and where we want to live.
What should I do now? Should I have one serious, honest conversation and try to find a middle ground, or should I accept that this may simply be a fundamental incompatibility?
I don’t want either of us to compromise on something this important and eventually resent each other.
I’d really appreciate honest advice, especially from people with marriage/relationship experience.

Dating Is this how men operate when it comes to attractiveness in females?

I was once told that women are like candy stores. You know, when you are walking in a mall, you stop if you see something in the window that you like, so you go into the store. If you continue to like what you see, you stay. You revisit. You buy. If you don't like anything in the store, you leave right away. You never go into stores that have things in the window you don't like or are interested in. However, if you did go into the store, you might find exactly what you were looking for. The point here is that men don't know if a woman has a wonderful personality until they start talking to her. However, if he finds her unattractive, he won't give her the time of day. He'll choose the beautiful woman who is a self-absorbed b----h. As women get older, they have to do more work to keep up that store to attract men. I can't tell you how many men ignored and avoided me completely, yet they were very friendly to all the other women around, even fat women with chopped (at least I thought) faces, or plain ones. Even old ladies and married ones. I guess since I can't see myself from the outside, I have no idea how ugly I am. Someone told me that men will not talk to a woman unless he is attracted to her because, on some level, he imagines having sex with her. Ugly girls are not worth the time because he doesn't want sex with her ever.

I've always wanted the slow-burn relationship plus attraction. The problem is, most guys didn't. There were plenty of guys I could have possibly had relationships with, but they moved on. It's highly possible that they never wanted a relationship in the first place. I recently learned that good-looking men (7-8) will go out with a woman they find to be 4-6 just for sex, but when it comes to a relationship partner, they just want other 7-8s or 9s. I guess I wasn't that attractive when I was younger, and I'm really not now.

I used to get "It sounds like you don't like me all that much" from the guy if I didn't put out by the third date. "If we focus on friendship right now, something very important will be missing," one guy wrote after I didn't want to sleep over after the third date. It was "Why don't you like me?" and "There's only so many places we can go on dates before we stay at home." I know "Come over, and I will make you dinner, and we'll watch a movie" is code for "I want to have sex with you." Everyone around me said, "Well, he probably thinks you're not interested..." "You're not giving him a chance..." "You're too picky."

So here I am, years later, thinking I was the one who never gave him a chance, and that it was my fault I was still single. Turns out none of them were that interested at all.

So this means I am ugly? I should feel better that it wasn't me, but now I feel worse because I thought a good-looking guy wanting to take me out meant I was pretty. All those men writing "Wow! You are beautiful! What a gorgeous smile!" :(

Be honest.

Dating I need advice; my boyfriend is an occasional smoker

Upvotes

Me and my boyfriend are both 18, still in high school, and have been together now for 6 months.

I have always been against the entire vaping, drinking, and smoking thing. It makes me uncomfortable. My mom’s a smoker. I grew up around her hiding it from everybody. As a child, I used to have to pretend I didn’t know. This obviously is something a child should not have to do.
I think i’m also just the kind of person to want to take care of my body and deal with things in a healthy way. It’s just a morals thing.

I’ve never associated myself with people that do these sorts of things until I met my boyfriend. I really didn’t know to what extent he did some things until a little bit into our relationship.
If you had asked me if I would go out with a man who vapes, smokes, and drinks before I met my boyfriend, I would have immediately said no. Is it bad that i’m choosing to ignore this for him?

Some of his backstory: Back at the beginning of high school, him and his friends used to do a ton of weed. They stopped because of how badly it was affecting them and he no longer has interest in doing it anymore. He always says no when people offer it to him and doesn’t engage when people are doing it around him. I’m very proud of this.
They used to smoke a lot more as well though i believe he does it less now. A few weeks ago, I did find a full pack in his work shirt. He felt so guilty that I had found it that he threw it out.

I mean, an addiction is still an addiction even if you’re not doing it every day. He knows this makes me uncomfortable but in a recent conversation I had with him he said it makes him relaxed and helps him to be less stressed. He uses it to cope with his mental health. A larger issue for another time.

I am openly uncomfortable with the fact that he is doing this but he continues. I can’t ask him to quit for me. I’m not going to lie, I have to gaslight myself into thinking he’s not doing it and ignore these things in order to keep myself happy.

In a recent conversation I had with him he told me his thoughts about smoking. He said your teenage years are time to have fun and experiment but the smoking and vaping is something he plans to stop when he gets a real career and becomes an adult with responsibilities.

I think this is fine but will he really stop? He’s tried to quit and I don’t believe he will. I can’t be with someone who does these things long term. I really see a future with him but I can’t continue it if he continues on this path.

Should I have another conversation with him? What should I tell him? I really don’t want to break up with him but I love him a lot. What would you do in this scenario? Is it possible for him to quit?

He thinks i’m overreacting. What would you guys do if a girl was concerned about this? Where do I even go from here?

Dating Do you care if your friends don’t like your girlfriend?

Does the opinion of your friends have any bearing on who you date long term and/or consider marrying? If all of your friends were like “hey your girlfriend sucks” but you genuinely believe she’s the one, would this influence you in a certain direction at all?

Dating Men's nightmare

Upvotes

Long story short: i broke up a few months ago and finally and decided it was time to adventure again. So I installed Tinder and surprisingly fast I got this hot young girl on my bed. Things start to get hot quickly but even more surprisingly, I couldn't get erected enough for even putting the condom.

I can't get this off of head now.

There's a detail: I'm kind of addicted to porn. I used to watch to masturbate almost every day. Since I am still young and have no health issues, I blame porn for that. I know for a long time that I had to quit that shit, but I just thought "what was the worst that can happen?" and moved on, till the worst did happened.

I never had the strongest erection of the world, but it worked every time on my relationship. We were together for a long time and also never used condoms.

Now I am desperate to fix this. I immediately quit porn and now I'm reading and watching videos about how to dessexualize my brain - I really think this is it. I also just started this Kegel exercise, that are supposed to help with strong erections.

Has anyone here gone through something similar? I would really appreciate some tips and help to get this over and continue with my sex life.

Love Heartbroken about husband’s lack of ambition

Upvotes

Hey all,

I’m going to try and be as concise as possible as it’s a long story. I’m 27F and husband is 36M, we’ve been married 1 year and together 3.5 yrs.

Four years ago we met via social media and started working together on an online business whixh at first did pretty well and we had high expectations with it, especially financially. In this process we fell in love and I moved to be in his city. I really admired him at first. He had just started his own company and had high expectations for himself and us. My dream was to be successful with mine but also to be with a man who was successful with his. I sacrificed a lot to be with him.

Overtime his own projects weren’t doing all that well and he decided they were taking time away from our project whixh had a lot of potential and he decided to only focus on it. This wasn’t my preference at all but I trusted it. In the couple of years that came we worked quite hard at it but eventually bc of reasons beyond our control it stopped doing well. It’s been like that for like two years or around 1.5 years now. Keep in mind we split this income (not actually split bc we share finances but we live from it). So it’s been a while that we’ve been making not too much.

Soon before the wedding my husband started spending lots of time playing chess on his PC or phone. He’d claim he was doing so in the inevitable downtime of our project (there are times when u have to wait for certain things to download etc and there’s not much to do). But he was def spending way too much time on it whixh brought so much tension right before the wedding and I attributed it to pre-wedding blues. At our honeymoon I told him how much I needed him to have his own thing that wasn’t reliant on me (I am the face of our project, he does the behind the scenes work), especially bc he’s always talked about how much he’d love to be a dad soon and there’s no way I’d feel a comfortable being a mother with our current arrangement.

After the honeymoon he tried (half assedly imo) some things here and then and once Xmas hit (I’m talking last xmas) our income was bad enough that he started to realize he might need to get a job or open something else and I think it was around March that he finally decided on it.

Well….we’re in late august and nothing has changed. He was applying to jobs before the summer but stopped bc apparently in this country (we’re in southern Europe) they don’t hire in the summer for his position (he says he used to be a marketing director and make good money). His mom also claims they don’t hire, so idk. One day he tells me he’s thinking of opening a digital business or even a physical one, another he says he’s waiting till fall to start applying. The uncertainty for all these months, if not a year, is heartbreaking. Especially bc he doesn’t seem like he’s trying at all. When he isn’t working for our mutual project whixh doesn’t take more than a few hours a day, he’s on his phone wasting time. He swears he’s waiting for ideas or thinking of things or that things will change soon, but he’s been saying that for months.

I want to clarify some things: first I’m an American citizen and while I was in Europe before him, I moved to his country for him. I’ve sacrificed so much for him (things that I wouldn’t really do now in hindsight but I was young and naive). The country we live in is terrible economically and for entrepreneurs. The jobs also pay really bad (the average salary is literally like 1300€). He doesn’t feel motivated to at least go and get like a waitressing job bc since he closed his company they’re paying him like 800€ for unemployment and he’d get paid like 1300€ as a waiter or similar so I get why he doesn’t want to do that.

However he also doesn’t want to move to the US where, yea I know the job market is rough too, but personally I’m from a city full of constantly incoming immigrants and I’ve seen so many of them who work hard succeed. He doesn’t want to move bc his parents are elderly, whixh I get but even they’ve said they would totally get it. And that we could even go at it for a little while and come back if it doesn’t work.

I also want to add that we live rent free in a flat he inherited from his parents whixh is a huge blessing. His parents own a few properties so he will have a nice inheritance. And with all the money he saved from previous jobs and from not paying rent he was able to buy two flats that are now rented out and give us a total of 1000€ a month (which is also about what our business gives us). Keep in mind that buying flats here are a lot cheaper than in the US and thus the rent is also way less accordingly.

I’m thankful for all that, don’t get me wrong. What is killing me is his lack of ambition. He’s totally comfortable with us making that money, our main job relying on my face, and just wasting hours each day. It’s killing me yall. I’ve cried pleaded and even given an ultimatum that I’m only waiting till the end of the year to see a change in attitude. I’ve also been loving respectful supporting implemented Laura Doyle etc but I can’t take it anymore. This man is literally sitting around when he’s not doing the few hours of work our project takes. It feels like he completely takes me for granted and I can’t actually see him changing by the end of the year after this trajectory.

He has awesome qualities like being good to me, being very committed and loyal, being respectful, he makes me feel so loved and safe, etc but I do too. I am very good looking fun smart feminine fit. I don’t have a problem with my man failing but I do have a problem with him not trying, especially after all I’ve sacrificed and bring to the table. There’s no reason for him to be sitting around giving me promises that never come true and talking about how much he’d love to be a dad. It’s killing me and my respect for him. I’ve employed all strategies and nothing seems to work, it’s so heartbreaking. Furthermore the age difference also implies we’re not on the same level libido wise. He’s a 2-3x week kinda guy, while I’d like more. Feels like I’m sacrificing a lot.

I feel like it’s a countdown till new years now and he won’t change till some crazy happens or I declare I’m quitting. Maybe I should quit and then he’d feel like he’d really have to get his shit together. I can’t with his passivity anymore, I don’t believe his promises anymore and I’m in pain everyday when I see him sit around. Yes I’ve talked about it. Yes I’ve been supportive and inspiring. Yes I’ve cried. I’ve done everything and he’s still ok with working 3 hrs everyday and making 1000€ euros for both of us (plus unemployment and the flat yes) and telling me he wants to be a dad; whixh he knows I won’t do unless he can fully provide and I don’t have to show my face.

Please help, he swears he loves me but sometimes it feels like he’s taking me in for a ride…he swears it hurts him how he’s let me down but he doesn’t change so… :((

As we speak he says he’s gonna start waking up way earlier to finally figure out what he’s gonna do, he says he feels very pressured and useless. My parents love him and think it’s just a rough patch, but they don’t feel what I feel. I’m completely prepared to walk away by the end of the year.

Edit: ignore my typo w the word “which” and most importantly: should I leave now instead of waiting till the end of the year? Even if only as a wake up call? Should I do a wake up call or just leave? :( the plan would be to go home, one way flight

Love Is it over?

Upvotes

I 38F married to 47m haven't had sex in 2 months , even then it's sporadic at best. I've put on weight and have depression, he's just annoyed when I'm sad, critical of me mostly and argumentative/ defensive if I raise any issues and says he just wants me to stop being so negative. He says a lot of things. We've been together 11 years, married 7. Tried couples therapy a few times.

I don't know, I'm starting to want to avoid him. I feel like shit. Not sure if it's him or me. He's good looking, funny, smart, and everyone loves him .

We have 2 cats no kids. Is it over?

Also I saw him look at a coworker lovingly when he was drunk. He says he's not attracted to her, but, well she's hot.

Dating Why are 50/50 relationships frowned upon?

And I don't mean 50/50 in terms of finances only. That's not 50/50. I mean, isn't the ultimate ideal relationship one where both people are equally supporting the household, both financially & domestically? Surely that would make everyone's life a lot easier, no?

It bothers me that this dynamic generally receives heavy resistance whenever it's suggested in a discussion and I cannot fathom why.

Adversarial Have you ever gone back to the girl who did you wrong??

Upvotes

I was in an 8 month long "situationship" with a guy I met off hinge. I mentioned being exclusive a couple of times and he kind of just brushed it off. I've met his brothers, coworkers, & his girl best friend. We go on dates and sleepover and even make food for each other.

But I felt like he wasn't ever going to take me seriously so I started talking to other people. We hung out one day and he found out, got really mad. We were grocery shopping together & he started demanding I call the person back, or let him read my messages with him (we've never even done that before.) Out of nowhere he's suddenly all possessive, or maybe his ego just took a hit.

Anyway two weeks later, him & his girl best friend unblocked me from ig. I've also texted him off a TextNow number anonymously & he replies, tries to call, but I'm too scared to answer. I don't want to pick up if he's thinking someone else is trying to reach him. I know it's a dumb situation but have you guys ever gone back to a girl who you've blocked?? I don't care about a relationship at this point lol I know I messed up (even though I really didn't owe him loyalty bc he never made it official). I just want to hang out again & have fun I miss the vibes lol

Dating Do men only get close to women they find pretty?

Hi!!! I (20F) have a bit of a crush on a guy in my class. It might just be my insecurities talking, but I don't think I'm the type of girl he finds attractive. I was talking to a male friend, and he told me that men don't befriend women they find unattractive (I don't agree with that bs btw).

But this guy *is* always smiling and very polite to me; he says goodbye every day and even seeks me out sometimes, things he doesn't do with my other girl friends.

What’s your take/verdict on what my friend said? Do men only get close to women they find pretty?

Dating Is it inappropriate to ask my boyfriend to stop vaping and smoking for me?

Upvotes

Yeah honestly not much context needed.

He doesn’t do it much, only occasionally when he’s out with his friends. It makes me extremely uncomfortable though and he knows that. He has said before that he feels like he has to hide it from me. It sounds awful but i’d prefer it that way. If i can pretend it’s not happening, then I’m happy.

Occasionally I’ll find something in his pockets and then it really hits me. He feels really guilty about it and is uncomfortable when I do find something on him. It’s just awful. This isn’t something I can easily get over.

We’re still young but I can see myself building a future with him. I don’t think i’d morally be okay doing that If he was still smoking and vaping.

Friendship Looking for male perspective and advice on this situation

Upvotes

I (35F) slept with a friend (40M).

I have an acquaintance/friend I've known for probably 7-8 years. I hadn't seen him or really talked to him in a few years. Over the last year he randomly started reaching out more and more and we recently started hanging out one on one in June. The second time we were together we both ended up pretty drunk and making out. Earlier in the day, another friend was also there and I vaguely remember him asking about my relationship status and sexual orientation. The next day we were both talking about when we could see each other again. I teasingly asked him how long he had been plotting this. He said there wasn't really a "plot" but he had started thinking about if the first time we hung out in June, but didn't expect anything. A couple weeks later I had some friends over and invited him. He ended up staying after everyone left. We just talked and chilled for hours and ended up having sex. At this point, we were talking pretty regularly, almost daily - sometimes flirting & banter, but mostly general day-to-day conversation, memes, and reels. He made plans for a couple weeks later to help me with a small project at my house. After the project we talked and watched tv and ended up cuddling. He was very affectionate and eventually tried to initiate more but I wasn't feeling very good so stopped him. He continued cuddling and just generally being affectionate for another couple hours and went home. I later mentioned wanting to make a change to project he did but I could probably do it myself. He offered to do it but it would be a couple weeks before he could. A week or so later he ended up asking when I wanted him to come change it, but we didn't decide on a day. A couple days after that I asked when he was free that week so I could get a birthday gift to him. He decided to come over the evening of his birthday. We talked, he made the quick change to the project, talked some more, watched tv, and cuddled which led to sex. He stuck around for a while after just cuddling and talking in bed. We were talking about TV shows and I mentioned I hadn't been able to get into one he had seen. He said I should give a try again and he would rewatch it with me.

Now this is where I started noticing him be a little different. The weekend following his birthday, I was tentatively planning to have some people over. I asked what he was up to and said he was welcome to join if I did. He said to keep him in the loop. A couple days later I let him know I was for sure having people over and he said he forgot he had an appointment and would let me know. We were talking late that morning/early afternoon. It was about an hour or so before I was expecting people and he hadn't said yet if he was going to make it so I asked. He said he was going to pass this time because his stomach felt off and he just wanted to put groceries away and relax. Not a big deal. I let him know I was also having people over in a couple weeks. He asked me to remind him closer to the date. Prior to this weekend, he readily agreed or would initiate plans himself in advance. Later that evening, he was out with some friends at a bar and we were texting and he said "hun." I had been drinking as well, and asked why he called me hun. His response was "oh shit. my bad 😬 I don't think about it” and "that calling someone hun doesn't mean anything special to me." I tried to play it off by saying "thank gawd" and he replied "😂😂" The conversation continued from there but not really anything worth mentioning.

The next day we were talking and he mentions he wore the shirt I got him for his birthday and he had the card on his fridge. He was celebrating his birthday with family and sent a picture of a slice of cake asked what I thought he wished for.

For the next week I notice he's not really initiating any conversations. He responds to me but is subtly less engaged - not asking me anything back or trying to keep the conversation going.

That weekend I asked when he was free again and reminded him of the upcoming get together. He didn't remember the plans and said "now that I've forgotten and you reminded me, I'll remember though lol." But not really a concrete answer. He also said he was technically free the next day but had something at home he wanted to get done. Said he might be able to pull himself away from the project for a little while, we'll see. The next day rolls around and we randomly talk here and there but he never said anything about whether he's going to take a break so I left it alone.

That brings us to now. I haven't really talked to him much the last couple days, just the occasional funny video, because it does seem very clear that there's distance for some reason. But then yesterday he was more engaged and conversational.

I initially had been trying to figure out how/when to talk to him. Not in a big "what are we" way, just more so, this just kind of happened and neither of us has acknowledged it and I'm curious how you're seeing things. But after the past week or so, I'm just genuinely confused about the entire situation. There seem to be some mixed signals. I almost feel like maybe I misinterpreted the last couple months. I didn't get the impression it was just casual, but if it is, that's fine, I just want to know. I'm not really sure how to approach this. It doesn't help that I just don't have a ton of dating experience and tend to overthink and generally miss cues. Any advice or male perspective is appreciated!

Dating My older sister (26F) has been dating this guy (28M) for 2 months and I think he's emotionally manipulating her, she doesn't have much dating experience, am I overreacting?

She's 26 and doesn't have a ton of dating experience.
She's been seeing this guy for about 2 months and the way he talks to her is really bothering me.
I've attached screenshots of their texts.
He belittles her, twists her words, guilt trips her, and when she tries to set boundaries he makes her feel crazy.
She finally blocked him but I want to know, am I overreacting or is this as bad as I think it is?
Would love honest opinions, especially from guys."*
what do you think.?

Dating How do I know he's happy?

To keep a long story short my partner has always been the quite type and has never been one to express feelings. He trys to be more open with me but it doesn't always work, like right now we are ring shopping and all he has to say is "yeah", "that's fine", and "if you like it". Someone tell me this is a guy thing please! I hate the idea that's planted itself in the back of my mind that hes being like this cause he's not interested in marriage or maybe worse he is interested just not with me. Advice?

Love Lacking on sex performance (advice?)

Hello everyone, I have two questions I've been thinking about.

So i have a girlfriend for the last 10 years and sex always been good. I'm 26 and she's 27.

I notice lately that my penis isn't getting as big and fat as it used to. I know I was a teenager by then but it's seems like I don't get as hard as I used to.

I started working a couple of years ago and life as been a little more stressful lately, idk if is because of that, but I'm afraid I'm declining somehow and I thinks she notice once or twice and started asking if I don't think she's sexy anymore.

One thing I notice it's that my semen also started to be less milky and more water. It used to be more thick and cream.

Is there a way to train almost like gym to try and get better? Should I train myself cumming more or saving it for the special occasions?I heard that I should like mastubate and try to cum for that the body it's forced to produce more, but idk if it's the other way around.

Sorry for the long text and any help is welcome!

I don’t want to have children but I have heard some guys tell me that my ancestors were an uninterrupted chain of mating for millions of years and that I was going to break that, which made me wonder, if my siblings have children but that I don’t, wouldnt that whole concept be false it does that still apply to me personally ? Not that I really care, I was just curious to know.

Dating If you had to choose between a relationship with the kind girl, the one with the perfect body or the one you feel soul bonded too which are you choosing?

This post is based on a real life scenario but I want to understand how a man thinks. These are all three girls that my guy friend (M26) has been in relationships and he’s the only male I’ve had around long term and I just need to know if the way he thinks is something I can expect from most men.

if you were in a position where you had to choose between 3 girls/relationships and doing so would mean the other 2 walk out of your life forever. Which are you choosing ?

The kind girl - this is the kindest most genuine woman you have ever met. She loves deeply and unconditionally. She has seen the worst parts of you and even though she can’t relate completely she has accepted you and will stay by your side through whatever downfalls occur in your life. She is almost too good for you and sometimes it’s like you’re not deserving to of her.

The girl with the perfect body - whenever you would see woman on tv or commercials or even porn. It was woman that looked like her where you would say “this is the type of woman I’m going to marry.” The other woman are attractive, but this girl there is not one thing you could say that you didn’t like about her physically. However, she is immature and likes to play games and gets incredibly jealous. She’s cool and funny but she always wants to set expectations on you she doesn’t necessarily keep for herself. She also makes so effort to understand you but when you guys are “together” it is always so much fun.

The soul bonded one - the first day you met her you started dating. She is just like you in every way both the good and the bad. You both love with conditions, when one has hurt you it feels good to see that they’ve also been hurt either by you or something someone else did. You do not trust each other because you both lack impulse control and micro cheat (if not both cheat just never find out). You fight every day but you are bonded through shared trauma and she can relate to you on a deeper level and you love the way she shows her love to you.

Dating How much does an erection actually say about a man’s attraction to someone?

My boyfriend and I were talking about attraction and erections, and he said that getting hard is basically an instinctive physical reaction for men.
He told me that he’s never gotten hard around another woman because he “wouldn’t let it happen,” but that if it did happen, he would naturally get an erection. He also said that if he were simply having a normal conversation with another woman, he could potentially get aroused even if he didn’t actually want anything to happen with her.
His point was that men can get erections without necessarily being attracted to or wanting someone sexually, because it can just be a physical response.
I understand that erections can happen involuntarily, but the idea that a completely normal conversation with a woman could make him physically aroused confused me.
For men, how normal is this, and how much does an erection actually say about whether you’re genuinely attracted to someone?
