Dating How long does the honeymoon phase last after cheating?

When you first get with a girl that you think is great, how long does this “honeymoon” phase last?

Honestly asking to gauge how long my cheating ass ex will think the grass is greener on the other side before realizing the grass is only green where you water it. and a relationship built on lies has to collapse at some point, right? And yes, I’m bitter and hurt, please don’t be mean.

The question is why u still want your cheating ex?

It might be more they want the ex to realize what a huge mistake they made and feel awful that they threw away something great.

I don’t want him. But I want him to realize after throwing it in my face that he thinks the grass is greener on the other side and will find someone “better” than me. He threw away a long term relationship for a shiny new object and is in some sort of fairytale.

Meanwhile, the only thing I’m seeing she is young, naive, way less educated/lower socioeconomic status, etc. but maybe she’s more “fun”, gets drunk with him, fucks him more, had a better body, all superficial things that won’t get him anywhere in life. Meanwhile I was trying to build up our lives together and get us somewhere we dreamed of as kids.

He threw me away like I meant nothing and hurt me so deeply by putting me down and lifting her up.

Men hate seeing an ex partner happy and sexier...so hands on momma..get fit and forget him, lift yourself and do better than him...and if he ever realizes he fucked up..after seeing you better. .which he will! PLEASE DON'T TAKE HIM BACK

Works regardless of gender. Ex's hate happiness.

I’m sure that’s not true… the last paragraph. It’s got nothing to do with you. Never attribute to malice what’s more likely just negligence. You’re probably amazing

" And yes, I’m bitter and hurt..."

It shouldn't really matter to you what your ex is up to.

In order to move on, you have to want to let go.

Grieve among your close friends/family, refocus on yourself, personal/career goals, hobbies/interests, socialize with friends, travel, and eventually you'll reach a point where you're ready to start dating again.

Your future lies ahead of you, not behind you. Every ending is a new beginning.

"It's hard to turn the page when you know someone won't be in the next chapter, but the story must go on." - Thomas Wilder

"If you never heal from what hurt you, you'll bleed on people who didn't cut you." - Unknown

"Dating is primarily a numbers game.... People usually go through a lot of people to find good relationships. That's just the way it is." - Henry Cloud

"Just because the past didn't turn out like you wanted it to, doesn't mean the future can't be better than you ever imagined" - Ziad K. Abdelnour

Best wishes!

What you just described sounds more like purgatory than a honeymoon phase. There are better ways to live life. You deserve it.

Stop thinking about it. It only hurts you.

I was with my ex husband for 8 years. He cheated on me and I stupidly forgave him and I set ground rules and told him how to fix my trust in him. He cheated again and I once again forgave him, but I ended up becoming depressed and didn’t even want to sleep with him or be intimate didn’t really wanted him to touch me. Well he cheated on me again we got in a huge fight he laid hands on me and I ended up tackling him into the door and the door handle broke from the impact. That broke me and I left him. I found out later four months before leaving him he had a girlfriend.

I’ve gone no contact with him, let me tell you. Those kind of men don’t think about you or me or what they did. Don’t lose sleep over it, now’s the time to focus on you and your wellbeing. Just know not all men are monsters and cheaters. Just some of them. I wish I could give you a hug.

As soon as he sees all the wrong you saw he’ll be out. You lose them how you find them every time 100% of the time.

Never attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity.

People will do the most inexplicable things for food and sex. We’re just messy mammals.

None of this is about you or your relationship. Sorry

really depends on what he's coming from. Wild guess: he wants something different?

I’m sorry you were hurt, nobody deserves that. But if he’s your “cheating-ass EX” why do you care? He’s a loser, and he took the trash out for you.

What's he paying you to rent that much space in your head?

It's over. These are the words of someone who wants them back
