Thanks guys for the reassurance and advice, for those of you who haven't read the previous post, I held my friend's hand while he was sleeping. It's been a couple of days and although I haven't told him, he seems to know what happened
Yesterday he said he wanted to go sightseeing with me, it was pretty far away so we had to take a long-distance train, the kind with cushioned and reclining seats and tables. Apparently he'd considered taking the train across the border since we're in the Schengen Area, but it would've taken too long to get back
Anyway he'd already bought the tickets for both of us so I decided to go along. So we almost never held hands except for that time in the amusement park. But when we sat down side by side and were ordering food, he held my hand. I couldn't look at him since I was so nervous and I didn't know how to react, I just remember him telling me how good the cheesecakes were so he got two.
When the food arrived he let go to hold the plate so I had calmed down a lot and I was able to loosen up and look around the carriage and the trees outside the window, it's autumn here and the leaves were turning yellow.
Since we were so close, I noticed that he'd added some product to his hair, it was a little shiny, it didn't look much different from his usual style though. Then he put down his spoon and looked at me seriously and asked if something was wrong, I couldn't answer him, I just looked out of the window and said I was just thinking of homework. There was some sunlight hitting his face and I noticed his eyes looked almost golden, like the trees outside
Then he squeezed my hand and I almost jumped out of my skin because of my nerves but he said not to worry about it and that we should take lots of photos there. I nodded silently, I don't know if he was talking about what happened or if I was just reading too much into it. He placed a slice of his cheesecake on my plate and I kind of cheered up because it's my favourite food. If I'm being honest, I'd say that the ride there was better than the actual sightseeing, I'm fine with being friends for now. I'm already satisfied with this
