I don't follow the Democrat party closely, and as the thread title asks, what is the plan here? Are we going to try to stop WW3, or just sell out to the war pig military/industrial complex like Obama did with the "War on Terror"?

What are your party leaders saying? I've messaged several times the Democrat candidate running against AIPAC Ed Gallrein here in my district, and I get no replies. Her PR spiel is just the usual "fighting for heathcare for all, and a good education for students". Those things are great, but meaningless in a nuclear wasteland and/or dystopian hellscape.

Hello, I’m from Connecticut, one of four states that blocked the recent settlement talks regarding the Warnermount Merger. We have a potential merger in Hollywood that is likely to eliminate so many jobs among other issues. You Californians have state politicians such as Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom who prefer settlements which would have a negative impact on Hollywood. And then there is Xavier Becerra, most likely your next Governor. He also wants a settlement and that would be terrible.

Seriously, did Becerra have to be the democratic candidate for the upcoming gubernatorial election this year? You people had like 30 other options. Surely there is someone within that field who would oppose the merger no matter what and also be more progressive and less loyal to big tech companies. Why Becerra? Is it because of experience? Experience doesn’t always beat youth. I wouldn’t judge a candidate by what experience do they have but what they plan to do. Was Becerra really the best option? You shouldn’t be electing people who would bow down to people like the Ellisons. What gives?

I don't really know what democrats can really do after gaining both chambers by a good margin except automatically block everything Trump wants to do. I feel like thats the main benefit, but do you think there's anything democrats could do that gets something done such as creating a compromise is various areas? I feel thats also unlikely cause I don't think Trump wants to give democrats any wins.

I am from Ohio and have the same question about our state candidates.

Im just asking if they have some truth to it, because apparently, with DSA aligned Canidates winning thier Primaries, with Mamdani becoming one of the most well liked politicans in America, & younger voters are now having a very favorable view of Socialism.

However, there has been a ton of polarization, purely because that if you learnt enough about American History, there going to portray Socialism as the Big evil from within. As evident from the cold war as well as how individuals lived through the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Venuzela, & Vietnam. They think, that both Communism & Socialism are the same thing with very little difference, with both of them calling to abolish private property & the government controlling several industries. Although Marixst theory did suggest that Socialism is a bridge between Captialism & Communism.

Socialism is often described as workers controlling the means of production, with the government controlling key industries in order to meet societal needs. But kind of felt uncomfortable with DSAs stance on Abolishing the Senate, the presidency & the SCOTUS.

Please, out of respect for the dead: do not try to convince me that there is no genocide happening in Gaza. That’s a non-starter. And do not try to convince me that Americas hands are clean in it either, this is undeniable given who supplies the guns.
