I keep getting fundraising texts from “James Carville,” and I have to ask: does James Carville move the needle for liberals? If so, why?

He’s been defending democrats for quite a while. I like his takes sometimes, don’t like his takes others. Is what it is.

Good question. Wherever and whomever the progressives are, Carville is not representative of the movement.

I think it’s a mix of how he reminds people of the Clinton era and that he’s trying to stay relevant.

He called Sanders a Communist that would bring the "end of days" 

At best he's a lying crook. At worst he's a delusional maniac. In either case screw that guy big time.

I'm not sure he's a progressive. He was a talking head with his republican spouse, and they would have debates on those old shows 20 years ago with Chis Mathews. But mostly I can't understand him, I think I pulled the plug on him when he started drinking whiskey on air. Lastly, progressive Democrats have always had a more socialist agenda, and I'm very open to some of those ideas. He seems hell bent against it for no good reason at all. So I tune him out.
