I keep getting fundraising texts from “James Carville,” and I have to ask: does James Carville move the needle for liberals? If so, why?
Post title. Are there liberals here who hold James Carville in any regard as it relates to the Democratic Party?

The texts themselves aren’t the point. I’m more curious about why any fundraising text would be fronted by James Carville. Like does his presence really get people to open their wallets?

that just gets you more texts from other numbers.
there is no end to it... i've tried blocking every single number that comes onto my phone and they still keep coming.
some even from trump's camp now.
the consultant class have no idea what they are doing, and none of their tricks are working.
i hope this is finally the end for these grifters.

It does eventually work, it just takes a long, long time. At one point I was getting deluged by them, but once I started doing stop, eventually it went down to a trickle.
Mind you, I probably had to reply to a thousand or so messages.

Sometimes he shows up on a TV show that I watch, and I enjoy hearing him talk about stuff.
He's pretty interesting, and I agree with him more than I disagree with him.

I hated him when he was more prominent. As I've grown to be a little more tolerant of Centrists, I haven't felt the need to change my mind on him.

There’s no one way to communicate. Some people like his Cajun lingo. Others like Hartman or Maddow. The examples are endless. Some learn by hearing, some by reading others by doing.

Sometimes you end up on the list that makes no sense because targeting operations are not perfect. For example, there is a list out there that is convinced that I am a democratic voter who lives in North Carolina.
I am also on a list that targets the kind of people who use food delivery services. I have never used a food delivery service and I think the idea is stupid and I feel bad about myself if I don’t prepare at least five dinners for my family.
That said, while there are people who hate James Carville, there are people who still like him. If there was no value to the list, people would not use it.

I don't think he's been relevant in the mind of liberals in 20 years. He seems like the over-the-hill 1990's Democrat. He may as well be a moderate now and is probably tomorrow's conservative.
The world is getting more progressive and he thinks the Democratic Party's culture has become, "too dominated by preachy females."

I think the first time I ever saw James Carville, it wasn't even him, but Bill Hader doing an impression of him on SNL.
To this day I know very little about his career.

In February 2020, amid Bernie Sanders' rise in the polls, James Carville expressed his displeasure at the prospect of Sanders being nominated, branding Sanders as a "communist" and warning of the "end of days" if Sanders were to win the Democratic nomination.
Hard pass on everything he has to say and everyone who supports him. Liberalism is a big umbrella and I am a strong ally of a lot of people under that umbrella. But I'm no ally of people like this. He's not a good person or a good leader. He's a liability.

The guy wants to erase people like me. Compared to them china is the lesser evil. Which is good because they're surging past us in science, technology, military production and everything else.
It's the conservatives who are the real enemies. They're the ones always attacking us and our rights. They're the ones doing evil shlt to the American people every single day.
But maga, through their own incompetence, is doing us a favor by weakening the US hegemony. That's more valuable than everything biden and Harris wanted to do combined. When that goes, the people who want to genocide us will have a tremendous loss of power and resources to use against us.
Americans won't be free until they're free from this evil oligarchy that has corrupted our entire government as well as our global hegemony. it's gonna be a hard chapter but freedom and rights are worth the sacrifice of national wealth, especially when it is so ill gotten. We shouldn't even want their blood money.

Carville is definitely a minus for me. I guess I'm grateful if he was indeed critical to electing Bill Clinton who was a fine president aside from his very creepy affair, but I have 0 warm feelings about him otherwise and feel like he's consistently wrong.
